best guess; they dont appear to be in formation; not that you have much experience with those or sailors, but they sorta seem to be walking in teams in familiar places; they are all pretty burly men; well fed and of good spirits; most have daggers, but not what anyone campared to the soilders you see moving around would call armed.

you can certainly change your mind and stay aloft looking if you like and take a 20; if your going to watch these sailors for instance; I just wanted to avoid your staying aloft and taking a 20 presuming there was something to see without cause.

Sure; you can take a 20 sometimes and you have the time; but my impression is that you were only going to look for a few seconds from your original post. It is nearly an hour before the tide goes out and the ship is very nearly loaded; they are just rolling on casts of fresh water and bins of charcoal at this point.

you see a large block of somewhat orderly mean wearing the ships colors coming towards the ship; about a hundred of them. They are about a 15 minute walk in the sand away from the ship.

Taking a few seconds was the original idea, I thought you were giving me the option of taking 10 or 20, sorry for any confusion. I'm assuming you meant "Men" not "Mean".

Do they look like they are armed? Are they walking in formation or rather casually? Do they appear to be soldiers or some other sort of people? Do they look like sailors? If so I'm expecting they are here to row the ship.

Satisfied that all is well, I shall flitter down to the ship and make my claim on a comfortable spot below deck.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Supplies are being loaded onto the ship; several in charge looking fellows are hurring everyone on; to lock down everything and get settled; one guys is testing the drum; a large gang of sailors appear and with cheering and jeering at other crews as well as some playful tussling; they all come aboard and take seats at the rowers; large oars begin being untied; three men to an oar. Some men get drinks; you see some four young mean; teens or pre teens come aboard and two standing a side at the waterbarrels. many of the sailors are stretching; drinking water; laughing and teasing. Two officer types are checking everyone out to make sure no one is sick or injured; but the crew looks pretty good. As no fighting is expected; a heavy cloth tarp is run though special rigging flatwise to shade the rowers but not stop any wind.

does the party come on board?

Caran; keep in mind that Detect magic has pretty short range; you might want to read up on it; you cant really scan a battlefeild with it.

What you know is every predator around from ghouls to wild dogs to trolls, otyugh and the like that feast on dead flesh will be attracted to this; up in the sky you can see carrion birds circling and that can be seen a long way off.

I am not sure what it is that you want to know before you decide how to proceed; I havent seen a post from Gauis either; thought you two would talk it out reward vs risk kind of thing.

will keep checking in case you have any particular questions. all in all the situation looks grim; but the advantage usually goes to the quick and the deadly.

Eruanna has track, but I don’t think that will help me with this

At this point no one has approached very closely to any bodies; this can all be seen as distance less than 100 yards.

I cast detect magic and then crouch beside Eruanna and scan the battlefield looking for residual spells or items magically enhanced. “The smells from this battle will bring predators, if they haven’t already… we must tread carefully. It is possible we could be tracked by them (predators) even if we skirt around this.”

before I decide if I should check some of the bodies or just skirt around it, I would need to know the results of my rolls, see Eruanna’s reactions, and what Gaius also thinks of this – Rolls in Spoiler

Knowledge check; 15+1 = 16 (not trained in anything but I did live on the Greek peninsular until recently), Spot Take 10 = 13 (hehe),
Sense Motive for the sailors and the captain who just greeted us (feeling a little paranoid after Baelinors talk and the Vikings with their practical jokes) 20+3 = 23 (a natural 20!!! I love those. Not combat though so not as exciting I guess)

Erkholt shakes his head gently at the sailors offering to carry his gear. "Nay lads, I appreciate the offer but never let it be said that a dwarf o' Clan Holdhammer let someone else carry his gear for him. What I do need is for someone ta' get a message to those Vikings that hang near the Ice temple. Tis worth a few silver ifn' you'll run this here scrap of note to a viking named Himner or Hansel. One o' these boys has my mule at the moment. They'll as likely need to keep him I'm a guessing as we won't have tha' time ta go get him and I'll not be dragging his ornery ass (hehee) ona boat where he'll as likely just go messing the place up. Will one 'o you take this to him please?"

With that the dwarf rips a page fom the back of his journal and scribbles a brief note on it. he folds it and ties a piece of string around it with a complex knot (at least he tries to; use rope taking 10 = 12).

For Val

Spoiler:
The note asks the vikings to take care of Errol. They can have the mule if they like, but he'd appreciate that the trade goods get left with Baelinor for safe keeping upon his return. There's at least two weeks worth of food for Errol amongst the trade goods so they can keep that too. I also remind them about feeding him the carrots daily, otherwise he gets a little toey and tries to bite people.

Assuming his sense motive roll doesn't trigger any alarm bells then Erkholt accompanies the sailors to the boat, reminding them to take it easy getting me on as Full plate armour and water don't make for a very fun time of things "Tis good ifn' ye want to see the bottom o' lakes an' such, but not much fun ifn' ye plan on breathin deep of the air again" he says with a wry grin.

Male Dwarf Cleric 6 (Earth and Protection Domain)

Watching the little fey leap into the air and fly above the crowded beach, Erkholt shakes his head and frowns slightly
"Why a right minded person would want ta leave the very bounds of Moradins own earth I have no idea." Then he smiles at the irony of his own stubborness as he realises he's about to go on an ocean voyage.

"Well lord Moradin, I guess I'll be leaving the earth for a small bit, but I'm plannin' on gettin' to dry land again real soon. Your guidance in gettin' me back to your realm of earth and stone would be appreciated"

Looking up at the Fey he again shakes his head, and begins to walk down the beach.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Erkholt
knowledge roll; you realize these are Phonecians; very good sailors.
spot; the ship is of better, more solid construction than many here and there is a large group of like liveried sailors coming out of the swamp.
sense motive; the sailors here appear honest and helpful; its just business to them; the sailors here and one ones on the way seem in good spirits and are happily singing some sea ditty from some far port.

As the party boards the boat; they are met my the Bosun; also called the second mate, he is a stern, heavy set individual and his common is very gutteral and a bit hard to discern. He is the only one you have seen that is armed; he has a sword; axe, three daggers and a lash with three tails.

"Oiv, C'mboard n father mei ta dey Hold of Birthen n pleasure cottondown bedding."

Luckily; his gestures are very clear; he smiles a broken grin; with not so good teeth; matter of fact; several are missing; and as he grins the scars on his scalp and face stand out; as he waves you to follow you notice he is missing a finger and a half on his left hand. He seems in a good mood, but serious and businesslike.

you have entered the gangplank near the rear of the ship; he takes you behind the large drum to a open hatchway in which you see a somewhat narrow stairway. The stairway is circular and lets out in a somewhat narrow hallway; probably difficult for two normal men to pass each other in this hall without touching; there are two doors spaced about 8 ft apart on this hall; and a open passage to the hold; the hold is fairly empty; about half of it has carpendry supplies and food stuffs; there are three people here taking inventory; you guess the ships cook; the carpender; and soembody else; probably would be the cargomaster if there was any cargo; there is some; but it is all in big square boxes and not marked.; everythign is secured to the floor and walls with ropes set in rings. On the floor here are placed a somewhat thinish mattress and rolled blanket.

the bosun tell you what you think are rules; as he holds up his good hand and counts them off on his fingers looking at you all for assurance that you agree.

1) nah fare
2) nah hooka er smoken
3) meals 5, 12; 20 bellz
4) stayv outs crew hay
5) ship n daggers; alls doe catch

Gottsya hawser good?
Ruels good; Capn happy; Rules bad; Capn not happy; (pats his lash)

he gesture you all to choose a matress; there is a box tied to a ring at each mattress; the rings look newly installed.

I shall give the mattresses lying on the outer ends a looksie and select whichever one I think is in the best conditon. I'll place my belongings down on that mattress, look at the others and say:

"So any ye have an idea how longs its gonna takes us to get where we's goin?"

I turn to the Bosun and ask him....

"Exactly how many days a travellin will we have sir and can ye tell me exactly where we's headin? Will these be treacherous waters or sunny days ta follow? Are these waters full of dreaded sea monsters or the skies filled with avian lovely?

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Eive, S'all dat innadae. Mayhap great Khnum, Hapi, or Thoth know answer yours, but naddae eye, Says the Bosun, skiddle down aft a while n ask you Onatutu, the stargazer or da Cap'n; but alls be buxy now.

lest der from you more, I is upside needed.

he turns to go; after a few minutes you begin to hear the lound drum give three sucessive beats; then the noise of the long oars being set and run out the oar locks sounding in great precision; then the a horn sounds; a cheer is given; and the drum begins to beat in a slow rythym, the crew begins a song in Eygyptain; sounds a bit sad but loving in tone.; the oars turn and the ship begins to move.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

ok; ships general routine; the rowers row about 30 minutes in an hour; the ship drives on sail when it can which is mostly in the morning; as it has a square sail; they cannot tack with the wind and the wind needs to be behind them; with sail and rowers they make good time.

once the ship is out to sea; 1/3 of the rowers are off duty; 60 rowers so about 20; they stretch out blankets and sleep in the hold or wherever they can find room; the ship runs three crews so the ship moves all night long; two crews row at a time in rotation.

Between each shift; the navigator; who is a priest of Thoth; does a short service. Also, you can see him using various devices to check the ships position; sometimes he makes decisions and makes course corrections to the two after steerers; the ship is steered by what looks like a long extra wide oar on either side of the ship; usually they are tied in place; also; sometimes an officer will move some rowers to one side or the other if one side is pulling harder. they seem very professional and know what their doing.

The ships cook, also with the carpender and supercargo (dont know the ancient name for this position sorry) also do fishing with nets to supplement the crews meals. there is always rich soup or stew available and tasty flat unleavened bread as well as fruit like apples, figs, dates, raisons. You see no one drink alcohol or smoke anything. To drink there is water and some fairly weak, salty-sugary fruit juice mixer; takes a bit getting used to, then is pretty good.
During rowing breaks; the four youths take snacks, food and drink to the rowers.

so generally; the ship is just a drum beating bunch of happy rowing singers all day and all night; might drive a choatic person a bit nuts.

on their off time; the rowers talk among themselves; play little games; and softly play intruments; some read from scrolls.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

I would like to know who spends time where in the ship; the hold has the most room, but no privacy; really unless you could get an officers room; you have no privacy; but everyone is repectful and non invasive.

places in the ship to be; the hold; the for of the ship; the aft of ship. The parties sorcerous could stand or sit on top of the rail for the main sail and have a good view and hold onto the main mast if she wanted.

Does anyone come out to see the ship leave the shore and stay out for about the first hour?

What is eveyone planning to do while on board?

Male Dwarf Cleric 6 (Earth and Protection Domain)

Erkholt chooses a matress and begins to stow his gear in the chest at the end of it. Being on a ship, and confident that if his gear is stolen he can probably track down the perpertrator before the trip is over, he also begins to strip off the armour he's wearing.

Setting it upon the matress, he lovingly wipes it over with his oil cloth, removing as much of the grime and salt from the armour as is physically possible. He hums a battle prayer of Moradin all the while, lost in his thoughts and this mundane task for the moment.

After the chore is done, he looks around at his companions and says " I'll be prayin' for some new helpin' enchantments come morn. Till then it wouldnae pay fer me to be wearin' heavy armour on this here floatin' piece o' timber. I will be takin' a looksee at Baelinor's gifts to us if any o' you want some guidance in how they function. I cannae identify it mind, but I've got the magic sight available to me still and this may give us some idea as to what they do."

He then casts detect magic and begins to study the rod that Baleinor gave to him.

Spellcraft checks if you want them Val. 16+8 = 24, 19+8 = 27, 14+8 = 22, 2+8 = 10. I'll use these on my item first, then whatever's left over on anyone else's items they like help in trying to identify.

On this point, is mine a weapon (mace) or is it a rod/wand. The description didn't clarify but I got the impression it was mace like.

Sorry for the very late post.

To avoid any doubt, Rama accepts without much prodding the quest laid before him by Baelinor. He thanks Baelinor for his willingness to extend his mighty hand in friendship with the Pharaoh and his nation.

On board the ship, Rama prays before the ship goes underway. He realizes that he needs the blessing of the gods, wearing as he is heavy plate mail. He never learned how to swim.

Actually; it is used as a mace on the light mace table for weapons; but it is not shaped like a mace; it is about a 3ft long octogonoal piece is metal cut off flat at both ends. there is some leather cord rapped around one end for better grip; their are sigils and magic scrawled down each of the eight flats of the rod.

with detect magic and some time of concentration; you can the auras of transmutation, abjuration, univeral, divination, illusion, enchantment; the strongest bing universal and abjuration which are yellow with thick bands of red; the weakest is divination at blue; others are blue/yellow banded but most are yellow.

You would be invited by the Egyptian Priest on board to help with the Underway blessing and sacrifice to the gods. The sacrifice is accepted; the blessing recieved; the augury is good; the crew cheers.

Shrugging because I virtually understand nothing that the man has said thus far, I decide to go up on deck. Once I arrive, I'll fly up and look around. If anyone looks at me in an odd or friendly I'll just wave at them like a little kid might to a stranger. This sailing is a new experience and as long as I don't get ill, I expect to enjoy it. After looking around briefly, I'll fly to the front of the ship and settle down on my feet. I'll stick my head out into the breeze and take a strong inhale of the salt air. I'll look around in the sky for birds, then down in the water for fish, then back up in the air, then in the water. I'll then fly to the back of the ship and do the same thing. After that I'll go to both sides of the ship and repeat my curiousity. If anyone appears interested in me, I'll talk to them along the way.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Lshay; you get a lot of smiles and nods; but most everyone is hard at work rowing; beating drums; cooking and the like; the serving boys all wave and have bright smiles.

The usual sort of birds that I spoke of before are around; lots bugs too; lots of birds chasing bugs; that sort of thing.

the waves are not large yet until you get out to see; the tide is receeding and that is pulling the ship along; the crew is obviously trying to get enough speed to use this to their advantage.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Once the ship gets past the breakers and is out to sea; the undulating waves take their toll; everyone can take a 10 on fortitude and make their seasick rolls; keep in mind; no fey or elves ever get seasick; dwarves are known land lubbers and tend to easily get seasick for some odd and maybe mystical reason hehe. You may roll your save instead or fudge if for roleplay reasons if you feel so inclined.

ok; anyone on deck who want to look at the three ships bearing down quickly may make a spot check; at the moment they are little more than specs that you can tell are masts and sails in the distance; will be a while till they get here if this ship is their destination; figure that the ship your on is going about 10-15 miles per hour average, the high end when rowing; max speed with rowing and sails with a good wind is more like 20 miles per hour.; and they are doing about 30 or maybe faster; I am not gonna mess with knots and sailing speeds; is close enough for estimations. Currently the wind is not in favor of your ship and the sail cannot be used; the other ships dont appear to have that difficulty.

Male Dwarf Cleric 6 (Earth and Protection Domain)

Hearing the sounds of conern from above decks, Erkholt clambers topside to see what's occuring. These rolling waves were beginning to cause some concerns for the dwarf, but his hearty constitution was helping him to shrug off the worst effects fort save 14+7 = 21

When he sees the other ships bearing down on them, and the crew preparing for battle, Erkholt once again ventures below decks. He puts on his breastplate as minimal armour and gathers up his new mace and Grolfnir. He slings the masterwork shield across his back and sighs heavily. "I knew there was a reason why dwarves don't sail often. It's all the damnable water and what it does to people in heavy armour. Moradin, if you be plannin' fer me ta fight on this here stretch o' water then so be it, I'm ready for these damnable pirates."

With that the dwarf moves back on deck and tries to find a position where he can see over the gunwhlaes of the boat and not be in anybodies way.

In our home games we allow heavy armour to be "stripped down" to lighter versions like half plate and breastplates Val. This is what Erkholt has done above but if that's not acceptable for your game I'll not don any armour at this stage. When it looks like combat is going to be inevitable I'll cast mass conviction on everyone within 30ft of me who are considered companions. I'm guessing this definitely means the group from the pyramid and will leave it up to you as to whether the crew are affected. This spell provides +2 to all saves for 50 minutes and may be useful for people to stop falling overbaord or maybe for the crew to keep the ship afloat. Will determine other spells as the situation changes I guess. My swim is untrained so it's strength (2) minus armour penalty (-6 atm) for a total of -4. Yay me.

Things are a bit different in my game; under your plate you have padded mail; so you can just wear that around if you like; plate armor has no chainmail like plate mail does as plate mail is mail with reenforcement by armored plates in critical areas. Half plate armor is an upgrade of this type armor still on a chainmail base; with both of those you can just wear chain if you like and not the plate part; but if you have plate armor you dont have any other options; just wearing the gloves or legs or such doesnt have any real value.

Yay me.

Male Dwarf Cleric 6 (Earth and Protection Domain)

No probs Val, so just padded armour it is from what I gather from your post. This means my swim abilty is better, but I'm much easier to hit. Oh well, lucky I can cast healing I guess hehehe.

I will fly upwards in an attempt to get an idea how the people on board those ships are acting. I don't really know how far away they are but my intent is not to close in and draw myself as a target, so at this point I will fly directly upwards staying above our ship. Does this improve my ability to see what is going on on the others ships?

wow; I expected a bit more conversation; well guess we will continue.

the three ships grow closer and closer; sleek, powerful deadly looking ships. In many ways they are hauntingly beautiful; stirs the blood of primal fears in humans like some touch of antiquity deep down in your bones. These ships are large; two of them twice the size of the merchant vessel the party is on; one about three times it size. Each has armor and towers and sally ports and a whole mess of balista and other heavy artillery to supplement the hundred or so elven archers.

As the ships approach the captain is keeping his cool but is obviously close to terror until Rama approaches and his aura sweeps over that part of the deck and cooler heads prevail as fear is replaced with confidence; the captain signals his men to do nothing unless they are boarded.

The ships get closer and closer; from the various vantage points that pc's are at; many things can be seen; the ships are multidecked; have rows of open ports; have netting all down the center of the ship to the waterline. The ships seem to have calvary of sorts; each ships seems to have about 20 armored elves with shining, sparkling armor who seem to be skating across the water; each elf is pulled by a pair of dolphins on some type of teather and harness and seem to be just standing up on the water as he is pulled by the dolphins. The speed and tactical advantage of this is evident; such a thing has never been heard of by those never seeing or reading about an elven fleet at war.

two of the ships hang back and they all slow as one approaches; the calvary begins to circle the merchant ship.

the party can act at any time during this encounter; just do so.

The lead calvary elf; some officer; Thoron thinks he is a Elven Noble; comes near and says in the native tounge of the Eyptians "I seek thee, permission to board and converse, honorable Captain, what say thee?"

yes; you just see more of what everyone else sees; a more top down version.

The Captain replies "If honorable elf has no evil intent nor seeks to delay or disable our passage which by royal command of the god pharoah himself; come aboard as our guest. Know this ship is blessed and protected by the faith of her crew in our mighty gods. Come in fellowship and peace lest Horus cast his eye upon you."

The Elf laughs in jovality; "Aye, Captian, by guestright shall I then tread upon your ship in but an instance.

Anyone can make a sense motive and spot roll here if they wish.
you may still take a ten if you wish at this point. At this moment I am thinking all pc's are up on the deck; the oars of the merchant ship are all pulled in; weapons have been dispatched to the crew; kopesh swords; bucklers and short bows. The fore and aft desk seem to have some large torque powered slings with bowls of burning pitch or naptha.

The calvary elf comes somewhat near; at some signal his dolphins make a tremondous leap perhaps 10 foot above the water; somehow he pulls up onto them putting a bare foot on each of their backs and makes a wonderous springing leap up and through the air landing near perfectly on the merchant ship some two or so feet from the captian.

"Lord Seavus-Akali Shalecomber aboard with guestright, your Captaincy, as guest, I come in peace bearing gifts of news, warning, and substance. Of old and in ancient times did our peoples band together in alliance to struggle against the boil of war. Stories from our grandfathers four times past are told again and our eyes turn back to ancient scroll and text. Since the 8,000 years passing since our last alliance have your peoples still been friendly to elven blood; never have your people make war against mine and never treated with cold and bitter respite found at many harbors and inns throughout the world. Nay Captain, I come not come in aggression as neither did the Magnificent Host of my cousins come into your lands in recent times and lay waste.

From a pouch he produces a large stone of incredible beauty; "here Captain; for you and your ship; A Starstone harvested under the light of the North Star; enchanted under sun and moon are the four cardnal days attuned to the four cardinal positions; mount this stone at the fore of your ship in easy sight of your crew; and thus will it always show you north; sing in warning when enemies draw near; sound with alarm and light be thou in danger of collision. A gift of the elves to those who faithfully carry out Pharoah's work.

But other things much I attest; Be thou warned of a scourge of black death upon the waters; it is they my noble prince seeks. Three ships that hunt that foul half orc priest Balfic Graa; Priest of the Dark; who sows the fetilizer of death, dismay, and abandonment of hope, cheer and goodwill. Know thee, Captain; these ships are ensorreled in deepest death; with undead crews of the worst sorts; these ships may fly above water; sail the depths; or even upon the surface cloaked in foul mist that saps the wind from sail; blessed are thee who have many oars and good strong backs to pull them; for you will not be as helpless and many of the broken shells of ships we have found. Flee at best speed if you see this scourge; row until your hearts burst if you must; for to die to them is not release from bondage.

We see that thou dost travel north; to the land of the Greeks; I must say unto thee my gracious host; strange portents arise there; mischief upon the wind and sea; capricious are those people and so are their gods; beware for much in not right in that land; verily it is perhaps the price of ones life to go there, there is a vacuum of power in the heavons; their gods walk the earth and sea; but if thou must; then go brave and remember the songs and joys of your homelands and know that our hope for your courage not to falter goes with you; our blessings as well.

{the first mate comes up top deck with a small box and gives it to the captian}

the captain nods to the Cook; he and the carpender bring food and drink; the elf and the captain share it in what seems a ceremony; the ships priest gives a blessing; this seems and ancient sea ritual.

the captain says "Lord Shalecomber, let me bestow upon you a small something that has been in my family for longer than my family remembers, you speak of antiquity I only know from this tablet; perhaps you and your scholars can learn from it; I know only a little for the language is long past."

He passes it to the elf; who opens the box; and withdraws four thin golden strips of pictographs.

Ah, the Leys of Watery Peace, the way of untroubled waves. My people thank your people, Captain; in boon I will hold this in trust; we shall update this Ley and give it back to your people in a more modern version that shall not trouble your eyes or understanding

with this I leave you; we leave you; safe and swift travels."

Anyone can attempt converstation if they wish; though without a good diplomacy or ritual ceremony skill or courtly behavior you are likely to be considered rude or out of place or just ignored.

The elf does give a bit of a stare at the dwarf :) and does nod to our female fey pc :)

ok; description
the elf is a sea elf; has gills, webbed feet and fingers; blue and green in color; his armor is some kind of multicolored scale; he carries three javelins on his back; a long spear in hand; and a sword and dagger; he has a small buckler on his left arm. His belt has several smooth pouches and he wears a small smooth pack. He does not appear overburdened or have anything bulky. His gaze is imperious; as if talking to children. His armor glows blue green; his spear glows yellow; his sword and dagger yellow. (in my game most magic items glow; swords almost always; most armors; but only a few things like rings and trinkets.)

Thoronhen, you think he is probably mid 400's in age, probably a ranger.

LShay; you would probably think him too serious and like most elves, being lost children of faerie, having lost the joy of the waves and the song of the sea. Poor lost sea elf...

Except for the dwarf; and long dark times of war that was between elfs and dwarves over the power of runic magic; you guys have no particular predjudice unless you tell me you do.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Unless there is any banter; questions; or such; those ships leave and the voyage continues same routine as before.

soon the captian says that they should sight land in two days; already some outlying island are evident. Out at sea close to those island are an occasional 3 to 5 fishing vessels; but that is about it; the captain has some concerns about pirates; but nothing yet....

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

the sky has been clear for the last 4 days; and a steady gentle wind as if the gods truely have blessed the voyage. But now strange things begin to happen; a dark storm appears on the southern horizon coming in fast; all the birds leave the sky; a tense lul is in the air; the southern sky crackles with storms and lightening; after a couple hours the sea becomes much rougher....

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

and windier; and rougher; spot rolls if you wish. Magic is in the air...

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

The winds still increase the the ship is tossed about on the waves; the sail is taken down for fear of the mast breaking; the ship creaks and groans. the crew and officers are all holding steady to something to keep from being thrown overboard; what do the pc's do; the weather is getting way to rough to fly with any reliablility.
