In your mind basically. You would still pray to the god as normal, but you would also give thanks to the dragon at the same time!

You could think of it like the old Greek gods. The ancient Greeks saw Zeus as the greatest of the gods, but they would pray to Aris for favour in battle or Poseidon for a good sea voyage.

Neemer Kresh, Inquisitor (I don't need to see full traits and equipment lists at this stage but I would like to see a little more under the heading of roll. What core skills will you bring? What function would you have in an encounter? Etc)

Character Name: Neemer Kresh

Scale Colour: Purple
Class: Inquisitor
Attributes: Str 9 (-1), Dex 20 (+5), Con 12 (+1), Int 12 (+1), Wis 14 (+2), Cha 13 (+2)
Role: Scout, Tracker, Ranged Attacker, and Monster Knowledge Specialist. Skills: Survival, Heal, Knowledge (Nature), Perception Neemer likes to wander far, and has excellent senses. He's also a survivalist, able to live off the land on his long forays away from home.
Description: Neemer found a small human child's hat a year ago that he has taken to eternally wearing on his head because it fits him. It resembles a green beret. He thinks it looks great. He's purple-scaled and only about 2'6" tall, with long narrow fingers.
Background: Neemer's brash confidence and arrogance as a young kobold led to him getting beat up a lot. Now, as an adult kobold, he wants to return the favor. He's ingratiated himself (partially due to the color of his scales) with the Chief's good graces, and serves him by tracking down dissenters to his rule and silencing them. He takes a lot of pride in his work.

-----------------------------------------

How's that? And I'd be totally open to having previously-formed bonds with other PC kobolds. Just need to think of what form it will take!

Dragoor, Neemer's elder brother, inherited all the size and strength of the family and left none for him. Neemer, meanwhile, got the brains. The two purple kobold brothers were as different as can be, but both strove to serve the Chief and the Blue Dragon God in their own ways. While Dragoor stayed behind, relishing the attention and respect of the other kobolds who looked up to his strength and raw power, Neemer left, and wandered far afield, learning all he could of the outside world. Neemer still returns home every time (Kobolds don't last long as individuals), and he still has high regard for his older brother, though he does resent the adulation he receives sometimes.

I like it. Now let's see what I can come up with to go with that...

Neemer, Dragoor's younger brother, is nimble and quick of mind. While Dragoor has always demanded respect from the various tribes through his sheer size and demanding personality, his brother is one of the few that Dragoor has respect for. As children, it was often that the two found themselves skirmishing with each other and it was during these fights that Dragoor was taught one of the most important lessons of his life. Being stronger than your opponent means little if you can not hit them. A lesson that has helped keep him alive throughout the years of combat he has faced.

While it is true that Dragoor hated his younger brother for his slippery ways while they were children, he has grown to respect him throughout the years for their shared zeal to serve the Luminous One.

Is this still up?

Yes I'm still going ahead with this. I've just had my engagment party this weekend so I'm being a bit slow.

I'll catch up with everything tomorrow, when all the booze has worn off.

Sorry, I could have sworn I posted my backstory. Here is a little, More to come.

Fluff:
I was the only one of my clutch to survive. I eat the others. But as their flesh filled my stomach, their souls fulled my mind. It was wondrous. But as with all things, their was a price. As I had taken the lives of the unhatched my destiny was decided. The tribes shaman was witness to my deed, and decided I was to be his student. I was to learn the ways of the spirits. As with all younglings I made mistakes, but I was determined. Now I see my place. As a Healer, and Spirit Guide, I will lead my tribe to greatness. I have learned the ways of the tribe. How to keep to the shadows, craft clever traps, mine for riches. But I have also learned to live of the land and talk to the humans. Not to forget my knowledge of the gods and spirits. These thing will help me gain prestige in my tribe. To help them see I am worthy.

@CaptainFord - I need that all in one post please

@All - I'll close this up on Friday and we'll have a few days of rolless RP then the players who are picked can get get their full sheets together and hopefully we'll be up and running by late next week.

Yay im not too late to get in on this!
Lets see what the dice have to say :)

Colour: 1d12 ⇒ 3 Green. +2 to any skill, +1 trait
Str: 2d6 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 - 4 = 10
Dex: 2d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 + 2 = 15
Con: 2d6 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 - 2 = 14
Int: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13
Wis: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14
Cha: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Reroll: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Hmmm. I could add the re-roll to str and actually have somewhat of a decent front liner (12 str, 15 dex, 14 con)
or a very skilled skill monkey bard (15 dex, 16 int, 15 cha, bonus to skills and extra trait)
Actually, if i can pull off a paladin or cleric, i think that i would enjoy that the most. I would play up my devout revernence to the Big Blue as much as possible :)

Cleric would probably be better, since Blue Dragons arent(usually) in line with Paladins.

Gobo you need to choose which one to re-roll before you re-roll it. It would be unfair to everyone else if I let you away with that. Please choose an atribute and re-roll it again.

Does the +1 magic item count against our gold total? What IS our starting gold? That's all that I have left to finish in my profile. :)

This really doesn't help character who don't use armor, weapons, or tools. I won't say no to a +1 Light crossbow though.

I would take that as you could have a +1 Cloak of Resistance or Bracers of Armor +1. Basically, some kind of magic item with a +1 enchancement on it.

You will still have to buy it. You will have max starting gold for a 1st level character + 1500... I might give you a little more...
You will not revieve any platinum coins. All that has gone to Luminoth.

As I said you don't need to create a full profile until you've been accepted. There will be time set asside for all that later.

Yeah, don't take my completed profile as me assuming that I'll get in. I just felt like fleshing it out since Pathfinder character creation takes awhile.

Wait there's rolless RP? My perception has failed me!!

In the discussion thread!

Well, considering I've spent the last few days going "Man, I want to play a kobold, I'm going to read every entry on kobolds... ever. It'd be nice to play one of these funny little guys." I think I'm in the right place!

Out of curiosity, if I wanted to have taken the mixed scales feat, what would happen with the basic color roll? I'm guess that doesn't really translate into extra bonuses, or anything. But do I pick the second color, roll again to see what I get?

I'm afraid you can't have a mix of scale feats. They need to all match up with the colour you rolled up randomly.

Scarab Sages

Is it too late to make a character?

We're open until Friday

Fair enough, let's see what we get!

Dexterity: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 4) + 6 = 16

Strength Reroll: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13

Ok, got a concept, and everything written up. Here it is, let me know what you think. I'll probably drop into the discussion thread to get some RP with this done.

Character Name: Ipreek "Clashing Boom-Boom"
Scale Colour: Green
Class: Pistolero 1/Trench Fighter 3
Attributes: Str 9, Dex 18, Con 12, Int 13, Wis 15, Cha 12
Role: Ranged DPS/Switch-Hitter/Sneaky McSneak/Common-Speaker
Description: Standing at a short (even for kobolds) 2'6", Clashing Boom-Boom does his best to stand tall amongst his brethren (he' still working on it). Covered in his green scales, he's found himself trying especially hard to stand out, and perhaps it's finally starting to work. Wearing a tri-corner hat, a double-breasted long-coat, poofy pants and a pair of cleated boots with small heels in them, Clashing Boom-Boom has managed to get his height up an inch or so and is quite proud of it. Along the front of his jacket, he's stuck on every pistol (or boom-makers, as he tends to call them) that he's managed to get his hands on.
Background: Ipreek was a green kobold from a far off warren during his childhood, but that didn't last long when a party of adventurers work through the traps and defends as a methodical business of a long afternoon. Fleeing in whichever direction seemed good at the time, Ipreek eventually stumbled his way into a port-town of the big people. And the halflings, they were funny.

Scurrying from house to house, Ipreek worked himself aboard an apparently empty ship, and tore into their rations. He was very hungry. Half way through his third hardtack, the heavy clomp, clomp, clomp of boots on the top deck resounded through the little hold. Ipreek tried to hide, he really did! But it didn't take long for the men aboard to follow the trail of crumbs into the back of the hold. "Well look what we have here!" "Looks like a young one!" "Li'l filcher's been eating has he?"

Ipreek could do nothing as he was dragged out into what seemed to be some kind of common area, where the ship-men spun him, beat him, jeered and laughed. Eventually the only little one, a halfling tossed something at Ipreek. "You wanna fight back, here you go!" The kobold clumsily caught it, and shortly a loud BOOM! filled the room. The halfling dropped dead, blood pooled across the floor, their was a smokey haze in the air, and their was silence. "What was that damned fool thinking?" "It actually made that piece of crap go off?" Eventually the largest, meanest looking human stepped out of the ring. Ipreek quivered as the man stooped down and picked up the hat off the halfling and stared at it for what felt like ages. The man then spun on his heel and stormed towards Ipreek. Ipreek shrunk away from the massive hand coming towards him... and put the hat on his head. "WELL LADS! LOOKS LIKE WE'VE GOT OURSELVES A NEW SWABBY!!!" The announcement was met with a roar of laughter and cheering.

Things proceeded for several years like this. Swab, get kicked around, swab some more. But they always let him have the little boom-maker (their fingers were too big for the trigger). Yet Ipreek cherished the pistol, it made him feel like a red dragon, full of smoke and fire and killing. Under the tutelage of what he learned were "pirates" their common tongue, how to sail, climb rigging, swim, take abuse like a champ, sing on shanties and so on. Eventually, deciding that while a life of "YARS!" and "SHIVERING TIMBERS" and "FILTHY LAND-BLUBBERS!" had its charms, he had his boom-maker, and was happy. Leaving the drunken sailors, the kobold took his newfound power of language and turned them towards sneaking off the ship and notifying the local authorities that the men aboard the ship were responsible for many of the ships that had gone missing over the last few years. What? Vengeance is as vengeance does, Ipreek hated swabbing. Not staying to see the aftermath, Ipreek hit the road with all the "Booty!" he had managed to swipe just before leaving and traveled in search of real company, of kobolds. Wandering for a while and looting whatever lone travelers he could find with all the bluster and flare that he could manage, which happened to work surprisingly well and often.

Eventually, Ipreek managed to begin to find the old forgotten signs, the old paths and tracks of a kobold warren. With giddy-glee, Ipreek walked into the warren with a well-practiced swagger and bluster declaring himself Clashing Boom-Boom, a green scaled kobold with the heart of a red dragon! They initially laughed at the young kobold, they stopped when he fired the pistol and smoke, fire, and sparks suddenly lit up the cave. Making a space for himself in the warren, and eventually learning of the presence of the glorious Luminous One, Clashing Boom-Boom has worked for the good of the warren ever since!

Let's see what we have to work with.

Scale Color: Red
Classes: Inquisitor 4
Final Attributes: Str 14 Dex 16 Con 14 Int 14 Wis 16 Cha 13
Role: Melee (But can be a secondary for most other roles)
Description: Standing over three feet tall, Kax makes an imposing figure… for a kobold. His armor is always polished to a mirror shine, and he takes great pride in the luster of his blood red scales.
Background: Hatched under a blood moon, Kax enjoys closer ties to dragonkind than most of his kin. He is a fanatical enforcer of the luminous one’s will and will go to great lengths to punish not only insults, but even the slightest failure to honor their liege’s reputation. Neglecting the traditional kobold arts of trapmaking and cowardice, Kax’s training focuses primarily on unlocking the draconic potential within himself and utter devotion to the Luminous one.

I’m quite looking forward to playing this guy, if picked. Planning to pick up Scaled Disciple at level 5, then Dragon Disciple from 6 on up.

Larkin, what is Leumoth’s favored weapon? Unless it’s natural weapons, I’ll probably swap out the spear for whatever it is.

I believe the idea (Looking at other posts in the thread) is that Leumoth, not being an actual deity has no favored weapon. So you still need to pick a regular deity, and the domains/inquisitions/favored weapons that go with it, your character just attributes these things to Leumoth's glorious Luminescence. :P

Whoops, so I did. Thanks for catching that, want sure if I'd add the 4th level our not since it wasn't full build time yet, but here's the sheet with the fixed stats.

DEX: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13 +2 Racial

WIS: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
CHA: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 12

Okay, cool, with those stats I'm gonna put the +1 into Con and make a furious reptilian barbarian! Gonna reroll that Wisdom since it's the only really low one of the bunch.

Character Name: Dreeko
Scale Colour: Red
Class: Barbarian
Attributes:

Str: 12 (+1)
Dex: 15 (+2)
Con: 16 (+3)
Int: 11 ( 0)
Wis: 13 (+1)
Cha: 12 (+1)

Role: Warrior - Dreeko eagerly participates in raids and skirmishes with other tribes, and claims a trophy from each memorable foe he defeats.
Description: A hulking brute by Kobold standards, Dreeko towers over most of his reptilian kin. His brilliant crimson scales mark him as one of the tribe's protectors, and he thoroughly enjoys the fear he imposes on those smaller than himself.
Background: Dreeko was the second-largest Kobold in his clutch, and as he and his clutchmates grew, his larger, smarter, and more talented sibling always outshone him in every competition, outdoing him in trapbuilding, trap-dodging, even muscling him away from food. Dreeko became obsessed with overcoming him, but failed at every attempt. A burning rage built within him, until he finally took the opportunity to sabotage his rival before a dangerous and lethal trial. In the end, Dreeko learned that the strongest Kobold isn't necessarily the biggest - it's the one that survives the longest. In the heat of battle, Dreeko has learned to trust his rage, believing it is a gift from his draconic forebear that will guide him to his destiny.

You said we can have a maximum of one +1 item. Can I have/afford an Amulet of Mighty Fists? Dreeko uses natural weapons extensively, and that would benefit him the most.

It's unlightly that you'll be able to afford the amulet from the start, but I may re-evaluate the starting cash... Then again it may be something you pick up on your way...

Alright, cool. If I get selected we can hammer out those details later. :)

I will have to revisit Draagor as well if he would happen to be chosen considering I had incorporated an Amulet of Mighty Fists into his background and everything.
