Cantion |
Cantion facepalms at the paladin's nonchalant greeting.
Okay. Maybe he had a little to much at the tavern. I'll have to monitor that later..if there IS a later.
"and I'm the cleric", spoke the fawn with a small wave.

The woman pushes the skeleton to the side to get a better look at you, and you now know where the feathers are from. The woman is a Harpy, although she is quite beautiful for one. Her clothes are very reagal and she wears a glorious crown incrusted with gems and pearls. She carries a bow, a drab thing compared to the rest of her, for despite it's master craft it could hardly amount to the wealth she wore.
Ah, a group of heroes? You want minotaur they are all over the island, but they are not here! her wings ruffle, the splendid and silky feathers seamlessly move with great grace...
even though her wings are perfect, feathers fall away, losing their shiny gloss almost immediately. And they wings appear completely normal, as if the loss of feathers doesn't effect them in the least
Titaia |
"We do not seek the normal Minotaurs, we seek the one who sired them all." Titaia explained. "The one said to be deep underground, whose roars shake the very earth."
She stepped foreword from the group and gave a courteous bow to the Harpy. "We took some time to get the lay of the land and find its layer, which is what brought us here. I am sorry we intruded."

Nessius has little patience for deceptions such as this, and backs up a few steps, giving him some space to charge if needed. What's this? he thinks.

The clean clothes flicker... this harpy isn't beautiful at all! I'm fact she is quite ugly, and in poor shape. It seems the crown is the only thing she has that isn't glamoured... that or it's what's doing the glamouring.
The harpy huffs. You seek the labyrinth? she sneers, but her more beautiful overlay appers to be smiling. Yes... I know it's entrance... and I have a proposal!
She takes off, flying to a gargoyle. I will show you the entrance! But, you must first defeat my gaurds! The Harpy queen commands: gaurds, fight them to the death! she cackles and ten of the skeleton line their shields up and present their shortspears.

Cantion |
Cantion takes a 5-ft. step toward the skeletons, holding his holy symbols aloft.
I think my other players widdled down the skeletons to a safe number where my Selective Channeling will not injure any of Cantion's comrades..which is what Cantion would love to call this adventuring party!!
"Suck Lord Bacchus's Mighty Rays!!" shouts the cleric. Using mythic point to exclude Marcus from channeling damage.

The fawn was nearly knocked down by the force of his own channel.
Quickly catching his breath, Cantion looks at his hands and sputters, "Z-Zeus! By the Gods! That was amazing!!"

The Harpy queen growls. "Fine! You wish to go into the Labyrinth? Then there you shall go!"
She swoops down and lands gracefully onto the ground. "Follow..." she says, striding towards a poorly kept door. The halls here are not made For a Centaur, and are quite cramped otherwise. You come to a set of stairs and the Harpy leads you down deeper. You pass a large prison cell covered in feathers and come to a large bronze door. Apparently the dungeons where ment for something far larger than a centaur, for the celing here stands over 15ft up.
This is the door, the first door the Harpy queen says. Beyond is the Labyrinth, and the home of the minotaur, the first minotaur. Long ago Slain by A hero named Perseus. But legend has proven that the most powerful monsters cannot be simply slain... she smiles and gives you a bronze key. Have fun... no-one ever returns... with those words she shambles off... her walk not quite as graceful as before.
Cantion |
"Thank you, miss", says Cantion in a cheerful tone as the harpy walks away.
The fawn then pulls his trusty ioun stone from his pack, and tosses it near his head, where it now orbits.

The doors swing open, to a slope leading down slightly... it seems to go endlessly before Turing dark. Torch scones line the walls every twenty feet, all unlit. The air is dry, yet you hear the distant sound of dropping water. The Hall is 10ft. Wide, and 15dt tall.
You can't help but feel lost somehow... even though you haven't gone anywhere.
Navigation of the Labyrinth acts as if you are all trapped inside a Maze spell(CL:20), and works the same way, only each successful INT check instead navigates your way through the maze, instead of out of it as well as you can also make WIZ checks in place at a less effective resault. Each failure results in a random negative effect, based on a table I have personally made... decide which of you is the lucky Navigator...
Also, the Labryth is essentially a path through the Astral plane, and can exit out anywhere in any of the planes of Existence. Therefore you can encounter anything here, And almost everything you will encounter will be very strong. Best to avoid combat.
Cantion |
Focusing his ioun stone head of him, Cantion walks toward the open door.
"It looks like my stone shines brighter than torches, I'll go first."
Looking back one last time, the fawn adds "Stay close and stay ready."

The tunnel goes 50 feet before coming to a T. Caution heads right, feeling the wind go in that direction means it must lead deeper into the Labrynth, and The minotaur must be in the deepest parts. After a few more turns and what seems like hours you come to your first Corpse. A relatively fresh body of a Half-Minotaur. He is wearing a bronze breastplate and a Slivery Greataxe sits at it's side.
Alchemical Silver Greataxe
there are no visible marks on the body, and it appears it died of starvation.

Looking over the body, Cantion sees the tell-tale signs of starvation.
"He must have been down here for a good long time to stave to death. But he won't be needed his armor or weapons anymore".
The fawn hold out an imaginary mug and toasts the dead man.
Kandoo Krom |
Just a small thing: on the action with the skeletons, I put a small reminder to keep my retributive reach in mind. One of the skeletons probably would have provoke an AoO. It's no big deal, but it might be even more relevant for the future ;)
Kandoo's eyes take a more falcon-like shape as he advances. When he notices one of the skeletons touched him before and left a scratch, he stops and touches his arm.

The fawn scrathes his chin beard in contemplation.

"Oh crap", yelped the cleric. "Some slithering serpent seeks slaughter in this shadowy stao!"
