On a different note, but one that will keep me busy as well, I'm being deployed on Wednesday (Sep 2) to the island of Saipan (a US territory) to help clean up in the aftermath of Typhoon Soudelor. My available time and connectivity are both difficult to predict at this point. I return on September 24 and will post as I'm able.

Belated congratulations to you, Ulgrim. I think my last post on the subject got eaten by goblins or maybe I only dreamed that I replied.
@Corso: M'lord, it would be best for your, and the Duchess', health if we left this putrid shop as soon as a cure can be located and paid for. :P
I have some bad news. I have decided to withdraw from, or end most of my participation in PBP games. Getting into the Top 32 of RPG Superstar has shown me how much time I was dedicating to PBP that could be better used elsewhere, and how I am in too many games for me to do them all justice. As a consequence of over committing myself, PBP games often feel like a chore for me instead of fun, and I have to make difficult choices about which ones I prioritize, while other people wait on me to post. Therefore, I’m limiting myself to two games as a DM and a few games as a player where I have invested the most time/posts and had the most fun.
I apologize for withdrawing from this, but it’s a hard reality I have to face. As much as I love PBP there is limited time in life, and I can’t be fully invested in so many disparate ventures. I've been in this game for a long time, and I had some good times here. That being said, it moves slow enough that I'm not really invested anymore.
In the future my availability may change, and I hope to see you all around the boards. Again, apologies for failing in my commitment. I wish you all the best of luck, and that all your rolls be critical hits!
Sorry to hear it, Ulgrim! I understand, though. I have had busy periods where keeping up with all my games just felt like a source of stress, rather than a pleasure.

I'll be sorry to see Ulgrim go, he was a great character. That said, I definitely understand the need to cut back on PBP time. I wish you the best of luck in all your future gaming.
Disappointed to see Jelani go, but I understand the feeling completely. I tend to over-commit also, and my games are showing the signs of it.
Without Ulgrim and with Arianna AWOL since 7/20, I think we need to decide how to proceed.
Only 3 PC's left, and while I enjoy this game, I am looking to trim games as well. Are we at a point where we go find another player or two, or do we just call this a wrap?
I've been greatly enjoying the game, so I'm personally inclined to keep it going somehow. I like the characters and our interactions, so I'd be happy looking for another player or two. If you're feeling too busy, then we can potentially at options for resolving that.
I feel the same. If you want to beat bushes for players, I am game. I really don't want to look at open recruitment if we don't have to.
I've shot off a few PMs, so we'll see what comes of it. DW is already here, so that eliminates one of my go-tos. :P

Sorry to see you go Jelani! I certainly understand where you're coming from.
I love this game and wish to find two (or three) new players. CotCT is usually popular. I don't mind posting a recruitment thread if needed. I'll also look at my current game and send some PMs.
I'm in about the same spot as DMDE, meaning I could go either way. It's an enjoyable game and I'm curious to see where the AP goes, and I've been enjoying the interplay between Corso and Iozif. But I've got a lot of games going and wouldn't mind trimming some back.
That said, if you guys come up with another good player or two keep us going, Gyllan isn't about to abandon the city he loves. I'd agree with DMDE's reluctance to do open recruitment, though - I'd prefer adding good, known players.

A divine caster in some flavor might be handy. Iozif can cover some of that, but the big status effects will be more tricky without UMD or something. A bit more ranged power might also be handy, but I think we can be pretty flexible overall. :)
Also, FYI, TarkXt (Tark the Orc) has replied to my PM and has expressed interest. I think he was looking at some sort of full caster (didn't specify arcane vs divine).
We will hold spots for those two then and see what they come up with. Encourage Tark to post here
Casters would be good, divine and arcane. I've seen Tark around on the boards a lot, though I've never played with him - but I would be happy to have him. I don't know markofbane at all, but I just looked at some of his PbP posts and he looks solid and like he'd be a fun addition!
I can certainly plug into any of those roles. I tend to play wizards a lot, so I may try to stretch here into a divine or full BaB. I'm curious to see what Tark might offer; I haven't gamed with him, but I've seen him submit a lot of cool concepts in recruitment threads.
Up to the group if you want to go to 6 players. I usually go with 5, but will stretch it if needed. No big deal to me either way.
I'm the potential #6. I run Age of Worms for Corso (and markofbane). I'm ok if you stick with 5, I'll keep an eye out if Tark decides against it (He is a good player as well as markofbane so you can't go wrong with those two)
