Cleo Gingerberry |
Once everyone is outside, she'll poof holy energy on everyone.
channel: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8
channel: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8
She'll fret over everyone checking to make sure everyone is back to not near death, seeing that takes care of most. She'll hand the two cure moderate wounds potions to the remaining two wounded Helgarr and Grunyar. Drink she orders both. Watching the burns to make sure they don't need anything else.
Maria the Great |
I really, REALLY hate Lamashtu. Maria mutters as she basks in Cleo's holy power.
Vandra Geaux |
As Cleo once more sent out waves of healing energy, Vandra was scared, bordering on terrified, as he felt nothing. Nothing, not a single scratch, was affected by her powers. As Jeaux gave him a worried look, Vandra just shook his head and tried to hide it. "So, uh, w-where to now?" he asked nervously. "That fight took a lot out of us, we should probably rest up or something." 'Not to mention I need to figure out what's wrong with me... And why am I so hungry...'
Alandrian Verium |
Ali stood there duly, head hanging low, the picture of perfect health.
'One little screech and I lock up, tighter than a vault of Abadar. What the hell Ali, pull your head out of your ass and start performing or you are gonna get your friends killed. Stupid bloody...'
Helgarr |
Helgarr stands there amidst all the carnage for a few moments - her breath is labored and hard as the young barbarian stares at the most horrible of scenes she has ever witnessed - "This is the foulest desecration and monstrosity I have ever..." - she lets the thought linger, and doesn't finish her sentence, following after the others, and basking in Cleo's healing light - "Thank you my friend" - the woman manages to smile at her friend - "Are you well? Is everyone well?" - she adds, laying a hand on Cleo's shoulder and looking at the others.

Looking at the map I would say:
"I believe we should be almost done Vandra - if this was not the center for evil in this place, I do not know where it will be" - she replies - "Though I agree we probably need to rest, and I want to take another look at the horrors we have just put down"
Cleo Gingerberry |
don't forget to drink the potion Helgarr, and also Treasure for Grunyar
Maria the Great |
I'll look around some more. Best to get it cleared out now if we can. Maria sneaks towards the left of the room. (d9) Sneak: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
DM TreasureFox |
CMW Grunyar: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 8) + 3 = 14
"Thank ye, miss Cleo." Says Grunyar as he takes a hearty swig of the potion as if it were a mug of ale. "It was terrible in there. I felt like if I tried casting a spell, it just fuzzle out. Everythin was haunting me. Does that make any sense?"
Maria opens the door to find herself on the other end of that terrible hallway that had demons emerging from the bas-relief to torment her.
Cleo Gingerberry |
It is how I felt as well, like Erastil almost didn't exist anymore... just that horrible mother. she looks over him and asks Are you okay, do you need any additional healing. I have some left, including... she pats herself down until she finds it, the slim eloquent wand of cure light wounds. ... This! I forgot all about it.
Honestly I did forget all about it. You guys should invest in a healer with a better memory and maybe not so unfortunate spelling skills. No telling what horror I'll mistype next and give our dear GM ideas. :)
Helgarr |
I'll look around some more. Best to get it cleared out now if we can. Maria sneaks towards the left of the room. (d9) [dice=Sneak]1d20+9
"Do not take any unnecessary risks Maria" - the barbarian warns.

"I will not die from it, but more healing is welcome" - Helgarr actually chuckles at Cleo's forgetfulness.
Helgarr is at 17/42 HP
Vandra Geaux |
Vandra moved off to the side, inspecting the small acid burns along his arm. 'Why...why won't it heal?' he thought as he looked over at the others. His mother was sitting down next to Helgarr, cleaning her glaive, and his shook his head at her glance before covering his arm in his sleeve. 'I can't let them know, there's no telling what happened when I died.'
Maria the Great |
I'm just checking. Maria heads across the room to the opposite door and opens it.
Cleo Gingerberry |
Then drink the potion Helgarr. Cleo gave her a potion of cure moderate wounds. Plus the two channels should have gotten her +16 hit points. Was she at 1 before?
DM TreasureFox |
D13
Maria opens the door to this empty room, which from the lower four feet of the walls are covered with crude drawings in mud, blood, and paint. Most of the drawings show goblins engaged in some sort of violence against humans, horses, or dogs. One picture on the north wall is at least three times the size and complexity of the other scrawlings. This image shows Thistletop from the side, the goblin stockade perched atop it like a crown. A cave has been drawn into the center of the image, and looming inside is what appears to be an immense, muscular goblin with snakelike eyes and a dogslicer in each taloned hand. If the scare compared to the rest of the drawing is to be believed, this goblin must be at least thirty feet tall.
D14
A large table surrounded by chairs fills much of this room. A slate board to the north is covered with scribblings in chalk, but the map of Sandpoint that has been carefully inscribed on it leaves no doubt as to the purpose of this room - this is doubtless where the recent raid was planned. In addition, smashed on the floor near the stairs leading up are the pieces of some glass container, with a pool of green liquid surrounding it.
Cleo Gingerberry |
After Helgarr DRINKS THE POTION and becomes my minion... I mean becomes healed... Cleo will shuffle quietly after the two troubled teenagers. Maria is too quiet and Ali seems to be suffering without his companion. Cleo doesn't have the words to help either of them though, so instead looks around the rooms, slightly despairing at the stairs, meaning it is not over yet.
Ali, Vandra, any idea what this liquid is?
Aggah, any idea what that is? she asks pointing at the "immense, muscular goblin with snakelike eyes and a dogslicer in each taloned hand."
Helgarr |
Actually Cleo, Helgarr is much better than I thought :D She was at 17, then took your channel for 7, and the two next ones for 16. So in total she received 23 points of healing, which bring her to the grand total of 40. My bad, sorry :P
"I am not as hurt as I initially though Cleo - please keep the magical potion" - the barbarian nods, then follows after her companions.
"Yes." Answers Aggah. "This is Spirit of Thistletop. Deadbutt good artist, show us Spirit we all feel. Even now, Spirit calls me."
"Have you ever seen this Spirit Aggah? In person?" - Helgarr questions, as she surveys the rooms.
Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo takes the potion back, muttering about never getting ANY minions EVER. She had a plan, riding the giants back, fighting in the arena, and harnessing energy out of pig gas... but Noooo.
Suddenly she realizes her mind has wandered again, blaming the mother of monsters for infecting her brain, and just nods sagely at whatever Ali comes up with on the green liquid.
Maria the Great |
We must encourage Cleo's newfound megalomania
Do you have any stories about this spirit?
DM TreasureFox |
Ali gazes at the puddle and learns of its divination properties. Apparently, this puddle is the remnant of a recently knocked over potion of Detect Secret Doors.
Ali's K.Arcana: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Aggah hesitates for a moment. "Down in bottom of Thistletop lives Spirit, it who eats. It who eats is protector of Thistletop."
Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo suppresses a shudder. Hopefully it is little more than a myth. Like the stories of the evils of big people her mom would tell her to never ever want to leave their home. Otherwise, if they have to fight that... she looked around at her friends, more of us will die.
Um, we should look through the notes and things before moving on and if Ali shares about the potion, keeping an eye out for secret door.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
DM TreasureFox |
Cleo doesn't notice anything that would suggest a secret door. While studying the chalk scribbles and the notes on the map, Cleo learns that a second raid is planned. It doesn't have a specific date set to it, but it has a list of conditions that must be met. The objective is to "Completely eradicate every man, woman, and child. To burn every building, and lay waste to every farm."
- The whispering beast is tamed
- Goblin tribes from the Fogscar Mountains arrive
- The minor runewell of wrath has emptied of sinspawn
This room has 3 doors. One leading to the goblin art, one leading up a set of stairs, and one leading elsewhere.
Vandra Geaux |
"Well, let's hope that we don't have to face this spirit," Vandra said quietly as he moved to the door with the goblin 'art'. "So, anybody want to examine the goblin artistic abilities?"
Cleo Gingerberry |
Maria... I think he means you. Cleo prompts.
Maria the Great |
Yeah yeah. Maria examines the mural looking for anything out of place. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Cleo Gingerberry |
What about the unopened door, Ms. Maria? Cleo asks. Last one than to the stairs?
Helgarr |
"Well, let's hope that we don't have to face this spirit," Vandra said quietly as he moved to the door with the goblin 'art'.
"I am not sure we will be so lucky Vandra" - the barbarian comments - "In fact maybe we should actually seek it out, instead of risking its existence and threat to Sandpoint"
What about the unopened door, Ms. Maria? Cleo asks. Last one than to the stairs?
"Agreed" - Helgarr waits for Maria to scout it, then moves after.
DM TreasureFox |
Maria doesn't find any traps, but upon closer inspection she notices that the hinges of this door have been damaged. The door sits off-center and fails to close properly. Through the cracks, Maria spots a wooden table, and a set of shelves that hold a shovel and a lantern.
Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo sighs not knowing what this all means. Back in the main room she looks at the others. Gesturing at the map, We aren't done. They were going to wipe out the entire town, every man woman and child. Every single person we've grown to care about, whether they are halfling, human, elf, dwarf, or... goblin she gives a smile to Aggah. We've not faced the ones responsible yet. These longshanks that started it all. We're tired, seen a good friend die, and went through trials not meant for simple people like us... she shudders at the memory of the testicles ... but if we let these people get away they will come back. So... shall we go down the stairs?
Maria the Great |
I can continue. The question is can you magic folk?
Cleo Gingerberry |
I have a magic wand, plus one or two more tricks. I am good.
Cleo Gingerberry |
Wait, the stairs went up? Cleo is confused. Then remembers the potion of secret doors. Personally she's never seen a secret door, other than the one her creepy cousin would refer too, but that is best not thought about ever again. Should we go back and look again, or... she goes down into the throne room where it looks like their allies are still in full party mode. Still looking for those longshanks you all mentioned. Is there a secret door or something leading further down?
DM TreasureFox |
On her way to where she suspects the throne room to be, Cleo runs into Gogmurt and Tangletooth. He jumps, obviously startled. After Cleo explains the situation, he says "Gogmurt thinks so. Longshanks disappear for long time. Gogmurt not know where door is."
Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo sighs, then suggests to the others going back down and searching again room by room until they find it.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
She thinks the trigger to the door must be tall people height. The world is not made for the proper sized folk.
Cleo Gingerberry |
As if hearing a voice from somewhere else, Cleo spends more time looking... maybe get a stool as well to search higher.
Take Twenty gives her 24...
Cleo Gingerberry |
Cleo gives the young man a slight smile, and a squeeze on the hand. Thanks Ali, we'll get through this and get you back visiting pretty young bakery girls in no time.
