Cleo looks at Maria and then Furnok for several seconds, face torn between something sacred and something horrified, but then weariness takes over and she looks away, saying a quick prayer over the pit before someone sets them alight.

This strange room is a fifteen-foot-diameter sphere. Several objects float in the room, spinning lazily in space - a ragged book, a scroll, a bottle of wine, a dead raven surrounded by a halo of floating and writhing maggots, and a twisted iron wand with a forked tip. Yet perhaps the most unnerving aspect of the room is the walls, for they are plated in sheets of strange red metal that ripple every once in a while with silent black electricity that seems to coalesce into strange runes or even words far too often for the effect to be chance.

As Vandra enters the room, his body is picked up by the magic, making him completely weightless. He assumes that the entire room is enchanted with a permanent levitation spell. The scroll, he identifies as a scroll of burning hands (CL3). The wand is a wand of shocking grasp (28 charges). He has no idea what the book says, as it's written in a strange archaic language.

As Furnok ropes Vandra like a cattle hand, he was quick to start grabbing the things around him. The wand and scroll would be useful, and the book could contain untold treasures of knolwedge! Just the thought was enough to make him giddy. That and the fact the room was just so much fun!

As he finally landed back into the other room, Vandra couldn't help the grin on his face. "I say we leave the room like it is," he said as he stood up. "In other news, I got some neat stuff floating around in there. Looking forward to seeing this wand in action. So, floating skull, right? That's new."

Don't forget the stairs?

The group gathers within the hallway, awaiting Furnok to open the door to the flying head.

Water ripples quietly in this circular stone pool, the rim of which is lined with skulls.

Quiet no longer, as Furnok opens the door, the flying head shakes away with a powerful shriek. The sound pierces through everyone's ears, driving them near insanity. By the time the shriek ends, several members are completely paralyzed in shock! Ali, Furnok, Helgarr, and Maria are completely incapacitated!

Shalelu springs into action and fires an arrow which grazes the creature's face. It yells out and dashes towards Furnok.
Even through Furnok is paralyzed, he can still see the flying head approach him with it's lips pursed. Though he can do nothing about it, the creature lands a forceful smooch upon his lips, and he immediately feels sick to his stomach.

Normally this would require a spell such as Remove Paralysis, since this is not a fear effect, but I find that unfair. So at least for this situation, Remove Fear should be fine.

As Cleo casts her spell, Helgarr feels her muscles relax. She has been freed!

Well, Furnok is in the way for a charge, but I think Azeri could weave around and then make a bullrush. Maybe something like a good ol' smack with his paw. Wouldn't be able to charge though."

Azeri squeezes past Furnok and smacks the flying head with his paw. The head gets thrown back a good 10 feet, while Azeri steps forward to guard Furnok. Unfortunately, the head gets a nip in just before getting smacked, and Azeri feels the wound burn. Azeri takes 1 damage, and a strange effect occurs!

Shalelu fires another arrow at the flying head, but this time it misses the creature completely.

The flying head charges forwards to Azeri, and gets another bite in. This time, Azeri doesn't feel the burning sensation, and the damage is still negligible. Azeri takes 1 damage!

Helgarr, Cleo, Azeri, Vandra, and Jeaux, you're up.
