I'd go with 3 move actions to douse the blanket, 1 to retrieve the blanket, 1 to retrieve a waterskin, 1 to liberally soak the blanket. After that whatever move distance you need to make and a standard action to drop and put out a 5x5 area.


Grinning as his friend grows in size, Warren uppercuts with his sword, hoping to catch the monster off guard.

Irina moves closer and sleep hexes the remaining beastie.

Seeing the beast drop Markov glances towards them.
Once you finish there I could use some help stopping the forest from catching fire.


Warren quickly slits the creature's throat before it wakes up.

The second creature lets out a single gurgling breath and expires.

The flames from Markov's bomb continue to crackle, a thick smoke rushing skyward. They haven't spread any further yet, but that is only a matter of time.


Moving over to the fire, Warren casts create water on it until all the flames are gone.

Alma moves to aid Markov in putting out the fire.


With Warren's magic the flames are quickly doused, a large puff of steam releasing into the air. Sounds of wildlife return and all is peaceful.

Alma moves over to search each of the beasts in the event they have anything interesting.

Between the two creatures you fine 50 gold pieces, but nothing else of value.

Retracing your steps you then begin the climb up the path following the side of the mountain. The footing is uneven and cliffs to either side leave you with only a little room to maneuver. You continue to ascent for an hour and half before seeing up ahead a hole opening into the side of the cliff.

A large statue stands at the north side of the entrance. A dwarf towering 9' in height looking out over the canyon. One arm is missing from the statue. The other arm is curved downward where a great dwarven axe is held, head of the axe resting on the ground. On the south side of the entrance are two stumps to what was presumably once a similar statue. The statues has dark splotches covering it from top to bottom.

The hole itself looks to be rough hewn stone. A pair of doors probably once closed over this entryway, but they have long since been smashed or removed.

"So Who wants to go in first?"


"I'm sure Alma is willing to do it, especially if we give him some light." Warren says as he gestures and Alma's sword begins glowing.

"Indeed."

Alma holding his sword up light the darkened cave, moves with caution but steady motion.


Standing in front of the opening you can see that the statue is very weather worn, much of the detail that was once there blasted away by the winds. The face and beard of the dwarf has been smeared with fecal matter and who knows what else.

With sword glowing softly Alma leads the way into the opening. An unpleasant smell comes from within, unwashed bodies and traces of something more foul. The walls are of worked stone, though showing a little wear for age. Bits and pieces of trash and the bones of small animals are present on the floor. The ceiling is vaulted, rising a good 15' feet overhead.

The passage heads east for about 60' before coming to a intersection splitting north and south. To the north, along the east wall you can see a large set of stone double doors.

Alma and Irina what would you like to do with your horses. They are a bit skittish about coming into the area.

Alma ties up his horse at the entrance, knowing full well that this may be the last time he sees his loyal steed alive.

After going back into the cave, he decides to head northward.

Markov drinks one clw extract.

Irina leaves her horse with Alma's and follows them inside.


Following the passage northward you come to the double doors. They nearly reach to the ceiling. The doors are engraved pictures representative of dwarven greatness. Large stone rings on doors rest at about two and a half feet in height and if not for the garbage and trash pushed aside you would not be able to see the path the doors follow as they open outward.

The passage continues on northward into the darkness.

All but Alma:
From the northern passage you hear a muffled rumbling. It lasts only a second then all is silent again.

I should get init rolls from everyone before you running into something dangerous :)

With a hushed tone, "It's quiet.... too quiet."

Coming up to the double doors, Alma slowly opens up the left on ready to strike should something come at him.

"Anyone else hear that?" Markov looks at the others. "I don't like the sound of that."

The door opens on silent hinges, a dim light coming from within. Peering in Alma sees a number of goblins squatting around something on the floor. The sound of their voices softly reaching the partially open door. The goblins so far seem oblivious to your presence.

Alma finishes opening the door, and he charges the one directly in front of him.

With a sigh at the paladin's rush, Warren walks into the room and prepares to attack anything that rushes him.

Going to assume this time that Alma gave some warning before charging in so Irina and Markov could drink their potions.
This is a surprise round so only a single action is aloud - using Alma's charge to hit one goblin only - can't cleave and use a charge action in the same round even in a full round.

Alma rushes into the room, taking the light with him, stabbing the first goblin in the chest just as it stands up and turns around. It still stands, but its knees tremble weakly.

Upon entering the room in full you can see four ever burning torches, one in each corner, are providing light to the room. At the back of the room is a dais, littered with filth and garbage. The goblins were playing a game of dice, but coins are scattered across the floor as they rise from their crouched positions. Two hounds with rat like faces are also in the room, the hair on their bodies thin and wispy. Where you can see the skin through the hair it is blotchy. They immediately take up barking loudly, which comes out half as a bark, and half almost like a cough.

There are no visible exits from the room other than the one you entered by.

Irina, Markov, Warren:
The hounds are goblin dogs. Filthy creatures. Touching them with bare skin or being bitten by them will frequently cause the person unfortunate enough to do so to break out in a itching rash.

Markov and Irina may each act in the surprise round if they wish, taking a single action each. Then the party may all act in the full round action.


Charging forward, Warren slices at the goblin Alma already hit.

"More behind us!!" Irina calls out a warning. She lays a sleeping hex on the dog that bit Alma (or the other if Alma killed it).


Pivoting 180 degrees, Warren quickly uppercuts the goblin between him and Irina, then turns again to make sure nothing else is next to him.

The dog howls in pain as Alma puts a deep cut in its shoulder.
