In the morning, I will seek a blacksmith out to add silver to my sword. Cost 20gp?
I intend to meet with the magistrate, unless the party has a real reason not to.
Based on my reading of the rules I believe this actually needs to be done when the weapon is crafted, and is not something that could be applied after the fact (it doesn't actually state that in the rules but that seems implied considering that section of the rules is talking about crafting weapons out of various materials). So to get a silver longsword you'd have to pay the 300gp for a masterwork weapon, the normal 15gp for the longsword, then add another 90 on top of that. So 405gp total which would give you a second masterwork longsword, one of which was silver. Or you could do non-masterwork at 105gp, but could not later enchant that blade if you wanted to.
Just FYI, I will be at E3 all of next week. I will still be posting, but my posts will likely be very short (posting from phone).
Depending on how much digging/asking of questions/etc the group decides to do that could result in the next combat type event starting in the middle of next week. If that happens the game will probably need to go on hold till I get back home to be able to post maps.
250 is a lot for just one hour. It might be easier to just buy silver copies of all our weapons that we can use against lycanthropes and such. The horses can probably carry some of the stuff if we're worried about weight.
Did everyone lose interest or did summer vacation strike? So long as we have 4 players still interested we can continue, else we will need to decide to either kill it or do some recruitment.
If it's a pacing issue don't hesitate to say so so I can fix it if possible.
I'm here. It's just that this type of interaction is the kind where Irina takes a back seat. Speaking with priests is a dangerous affair, and walls on wagons do not interest her in the least. I can make simple I'm here posts with Irina being in the background, but rest assured the game is quite interesting and I'm not going anywhere.
I just got worried when almost no one was posting at all for the week. Checking in every 3-5 days when you aren't in a fight or actively involved with the role-playing would be appreciated though.
I sent Heligar a private PM, but have not heard back from her. If she returns soon I'd like to keep her in the group, but I'm assuming at this point we are down to 6.
It has been pointed out to me that at least some of the group is feeling very rail-roaded. If others are feeling the same way please don't hesitate to send me a private message about it (or any other frustrations) so I can attempt to fix issues like this. Conversely if at any point the group feels at a loss for plot hooks don't hesitate to let me know there either.
I'm expecting over the 4th of July here that at least some of you will not be around to post (not sure how many of us are U.S. based). I will still be lurking around though.
Irina is updated to level 2. Markov, no worries that Irina will step on your toes, she'll take two levels of alchemist at the very most. She'll be learning the infusion and tanglefoot bomb discoveries, all in her dual role as "debuffer" and "potion b@#%%", as well as the handy-dandy double Int bonus on Knowledge skills.
So I'm not sure what is up with Cedric. I'd sent him a message, he'd gotten back to me that he had been away camping but was back and wanted to continue in the game, but given he hasn't posted since then... I'm assuming he is probably gone.
I don't. Having a dedicated healer will save us a lot on wands and potions, and it will be nice to have the fifth person in case any of the rest of us drop.
Assuming Markov and Irina are also fine with that, have him generate his character at 2nd level, starting max gold + 500. Max HP for first level, he will need to roll HP in this discussion thread for this 2nd level.
Just as a heads up, I will be gone most of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week. I might be able to post in the evenings, but most likely I will be using that time to catch up on sleep.
Warren, after you attack this round, if you will 5 foot step out, I will jump back into the tanking position. Though, I will need heals (at 14 hp), since the boss werewolf hits pretty hard.
I will likely be using my last LoH this round as well.
Tower: You should have gotten a PM from my co-worker who wants to join as a cleric. I realize it may take a few days to get him integrated. But wanted to make sure you received his information.
"So let me get this straight, we put some blood on this mysterious coin which is probably cursed... drop it in the well, and then some scary person or beast will come seek us out; who is capable of skinning us alive. Why do I get the feeling we're living through a ghost story?."
Not waiting for an answer to his semi-rhetorical question. Alma uses his blade to to cut his left forearm just enough to for blood to come out. He wipes the wound with the coin and tosses it into the well.
"Yeah, I'm sure it will turn out all right."
Make a DC 90 will save or become chaotic evil, be cursed to always walk on your hands, and go three hundred years back in time every other Thursday.
I'm a bit confused by the map. The building far right (king of by itself) is the inn where the sarge is setting his watch, and we're to guard the other four buildings? One of them is a good deal further south than the other three, but I thought we were guarding the northern edge of the settlement. Are there only the five buildings in the village proper?
For clarification, is the green area, considered impassable? For some reason, I was setting up my defenses as to protect only from the side via the brown areas.
