The one problem I have noticed about this though is that the bomb actually goes off in my square when I die, meaning that anyone I am fighting who kills me wont actually take a direct hit from it, which seems a little lame. Are there any rules on entering into someone's square so that it goes off there?

Actually the way I've always understood splash weapons is that they actually have to hit the target for the full damage, just setting it off in their square makes it deal only splash damage to the "intended" target.
The rules are kinda hazy about this and I don't feel like hitting quotes for something that is a gray area and up for debate, but it seems to me as a GM that the bomb would be unable to deal direct damage.
In loose terms, the rules for splash damage state that an attack roll is required to "hit" the target with the bomb and that a "miss" makes it go in another randomly determined direction. It also states that if you don't directly his a creature then you pick an intersection, then deal splash damage to those 4 squares.
I'd rule that the bomb being inside of you and such you have 2 options, "hit" yourself with the initial damage and deal splash to all targets within 5 feet or pick a corner of your square to use as your chosen intersection for splash damage.
That's just me though, then again I'm not about to reward a kamikazi player either.

The Implant Bomb rules state that it is used like the Delayed Bomb option, because you are required to have it before you can Implant an bomb. In those rules, it states that anything in the square when the bomb goes off is considered to be directly hit, so I needed a way to enter into their square. Since you can enter an prone creatures square, I would simply need to knock them prone in a full attack action, 5 foot into their square, and then commit the seppuku. Obviously this isn't something I PLAN on doing, because I don't want my character to die. I like him a lot. But he would have no problem doing this if it helped his crewmates survive/win the battle. Plus it helps me figure out my future feats as well. Being Level 7 Gunslinger, I already have all of the really good ranged feats, so now I am just down to the flavor, and Improved Trip and Combat Expertise are some pretty good feats to have up my sleeve.

Alright, chalk my answer up to ignorance as far as the ability. I took the rules for splash weapons into consideration without thinking to look up any exceptions printed into the Alchemist ability. My apologies then, the whole thing seems sound with all of that taken into account. Enjoy your "Last Stand". lol
Reminds me of the Call of Duty perk "Martyrdom".
