Ashara gasps as the dark energy saps her strength. Seeing Mykel fall she marches towars him and tries to pull him out of the haunt's range nontheless!

The haunt is compelled to answer, but may answer however it chooses.
If the haunt is still active, and Hydris can funnel the haunt into himself he will do so and let the Haunt posess him to save everybody else from the negative levels.

Hydris pulls the haunt to himself and damages it, hearing an extremely deep bass voice saying "Sacrifices" in amongst loud laughter, sparing his companions its fury

"Oh, a clever trick!" she says. "One that will make it much more difficult to complete our mission! Perhaps we should rest for a bit!" she says. "The dead will wait..."

"If this haunt is an indication of what we face, we would be best advised to withdraw while Hydris recovers. It may be that I should adjust the magic I have at my finger tips... that said, apart from Hydris we appear in good condition."
Happy to rest up or press on. But with 4 negative levels, Hydris will be at a huge risk if we press on

"Is everybody okay?" he asks meekly.
"Just give me a few minutes to clear my head, and some water please."
Hydris will take at least a few minutes to get himself in order, probably at least 15.
After resting a bit
"We should press on, even if we've dealt with the haunt for now, who knows when exactly it'll be back. I think somebody else should take point though."
My vote is to press on, even though I'm the one suffering.

"No we should not, trust me on that. We should heed Calypso's suggestion, get out of her and rest. The effects of the haunt will dissipate over time while pressing on might mean death for some or even all of us" says Ashara in a serious tone.

Yeah, we need to rest for sure. We ALL took negative levels (that was touch AC to hit), and a couple of us took 4 levels. We're going to be pretty crippled without rest, and I don't think there will be any negative consequence to resting, except we all use an extra trail ration.

and I moved you back to the entrance of the room as there is a threat, just have to see if you see it before it gets its round
