Arishat's eyes blaze with devilish fire as Moghadam hits here.

Male Halfling Monk 18 / Ghostwalker

Lanthair shrugs off part of Moghadem's assault, relying on his years of training to withstand the attack.

Immediate Reaction. Iron Dragon Defense. Damaged reduced by 14.


Arishat's eyes blaze with the fires of Bael Turath and Moghadam too burns briefly. Lanthair manages to deflect some of the attack, but neither Lynore nor her shadow twin can do much damage in the darkness.

For a possible future turn, how would jumping off the ledge to land on Moghodam work as an attack? Arishat would take the falling damage from 40(?) feet, but would dropping 40 feet onto your target count as a charge and/or do extra damage?

"Oh look, the paladin is flagging. What a shame she can dish out damage but doesn't have the determination to keep going when she takes it, the poor dear." Arishat sends a jab at Raya, and a javelin towards Moghadam.

@Arishat. I think you can do this. Your fall through Moghadam would deal falling half damage (forcibly breaking up his ether-sphere). You would take normal falling damage, but can offset that with a successful DC18 Acrobatics check to reduce the damage to yourself by half.

Sounds reasonable enough. One tiefling kamikaze dropping soon. Move, crash, Acrobat Boots to stand as a minor, and try and hit the ****er.
There should be another 1d6 ⇒ 6 bonus hit points for Raya, since Inspiring Word goes to 4d6 at 16th level, and another +1 to the attack roll (which still misses) because Mogahdan is bloodied.

Needled by Arishat's comments, Raya pulls herself together as Barel swings and drags Moghadam's feet out from under him. Had the wraith any substance the crash would have been a mighty one. As it is, he simply subsides like an unsuccessful tent.

Ouch bloodied, at least I don't start in his aura. Full update comes when I learn the status of those about me. Okay I recently read that opportunity attacks and immediate reactions aren't the same thing so I think I have a window do to both of these.

Barel reels with pain after his attack...but takes it stoically, with the exception of a single explosive expletive.
Does the 24 damage to Barel include the vulnerability. I assume that I need to actually take 34 damage, but wanted to make sure before doing so. Barel was just bloodied in either case.

Sorry I keep overriding your marks, Barel, but I've come to a conclusion especially against this boss, that combined with my radiant damage, the fact that its inescapable is just too useful currently. Two thoughts here, if I drop Moghadam (obviously not in this attack), I can subdue instead of kill, and he can't do any fancy ghost stuff to teleport away right? I was thinking of subduing him, using Sune's Voice (one turn domination) as an impromptu coup-de-grace to interrogate him. That sound applicable, even though I think the other players are going to off him before my next chance?

You're quite right and you can't. I forgot about half speed for climbing. H9 it is. I'm guessing she won't want to run at this point.

Barel heals himself (and feels much better for it), moves towards the undead creature, and then swings his hammer at it again, while saying "Get Over Here", as thorns wrap around his gullet and pull him over the pit.

Damage=(7)+13+2+3=25 damage and I pull him one square towards me. Please center him over the pit trap...I know he won't fall in, but at least he will be easier to reach.

Raya--no problem on the mark. Barel's mark is pretty weak anyway; it is mostly a defensive tool.

Barel is almost completely healed--HP=131/144, HS=15/17.

Lanthair hacks viciously at Moghadam with fists and feet as the wraith visibly weakens.

Moghadam flies clear of the irradiating zone and draws on his inner resources to once more shares his mental anguish with the party.

Raya's blade swings instinctively as Moghadam passes, before she drops unconscious to the floor. The blow sears the wraith and his own blade smoulders reprovingly in his hands.

Moggie's swift departure takes Barel by surprise, and his hammer strike goes appropriately wild.
