Sorry, everyone, for not being around for the last few days. We've had a theft, locally, of 900m of valuable copper wire. Specifically, from the local telephone connections. I've had no telephone access at home for the past couple of days, except in intermittent patches. This has had some slight effect on my ability to access the internet.
it's worth a shot at least, Barel. With your extra reach and having it marked, it either suffers penalties to hit me, and provokes from you, or will get edged into the corner if it keeps moving away. Sort of like an archer paladin concept. Mark, keep distance, but keep the threat, therefore it suffers the penalty. Unless this thing has a close attack or reach I don't know about, it might be a good tactic...And we all know Rev doesn't ignore marks. >.>
I'm traveling to South America this week. I should have access most of the time, but Sunday and Wednesday are the travel days, so it will be spotty at least then. Please NPC as necessary, here and in Lost City!
It occurs to Arishat that mentioning some of the things that she, Lanthair, and Lynore have been doing might not be entirely effective at increasing the regard in which a certain paladin holds us.
She's been pretty good about not being the ole stick in the mud, even being tongue in cheek at times, like when she said 'maybe there's a cat up in a tree I can rescue or something'
Unleashing slaads on a city though, may cross that line.
If it's any consolation, we don't know that was Chloris' intention, and in separate ways we're all doing things to ensure that doesn't happen anyway. Lanthair and Lynore appear to have moral objections, and Arishat has a perfectly legitimate reason too.
oh this is interesting. You guys stole a dangerous box, give it to someone who can do ill with it, and then when the giths, who recognized the danger, arrive to ensure it does no harm, you kill them.
Arishat is exactly the sort of person to kill things just to get them out of the way. On the other hand, she's perfectly willing to talk things out of the way too. It's not how the problem is removed that matters to her, it's that it gets out of her way.
She likes to cheat, as well.
Anyone want to play cards?
Edit: I'm just a little puzzled. What's a moral dilemma?
I hate to do it, but with real life my time is getting shorter and shorter, i do not want to slow you all down more than I have already. I am going to have to pull out of the pbp. I wish you all well and hope it keeps going as long as it has already.
and here I thought it was the Defenders in the group. Heh, yeah Rev's games are always a lot of fun. Any thoughts on what Lynore will do? Maybe hunt the agents of Acererak where we cannot follow?
she's paranoid enough, but probably not chatty enough to feign being a soothsayer. Personally, I love the Shadowfell agent hunter idea, since Lynore swore her oath, or at least as much as she deigned to.
