@Arishat: I am sorry can you ever forgive me, I will always be yours forever...(did she buy it...I certainly hope so, he he)

@Zerombr: Gee, thanks for the hint, he he.

@All: The way I interpret it is, once Arishat fails the second save, the Dominated condition ends, to be replaced by another condition. Let's call it the Controlled condition. Since there is no longer a Dominated condition, then Thom's succubus could indeed dominate her for that one round. Once the dominated condition ends, then the Conrolled condition returns.

As for being dominated by more than one creature at the same time...I would rule the creature gains the dazed condition and loses all actions, as the conflicting forces freeze her in place.

Human

@ Arishat and Thom - you two clearly have some issues to work out.

@ Zero - cunning indeed.

I'd go with Thom's interpretation above, although if he's planning to add Lureene to an already volatile mix, he probably has no chance of avoiding that quiet talk Arishat has up her sleeve.

The Exchange

M

heh I actually wasn't encouraging Thom to do anything. I thought he already used Lureene today, anyway. so overlapping domination on domination might work, but not against controlled. Alright then.

Why don't you step over here so we can discuss it without having to shout? The mist is lovely and warm.

The Exchange

M

since Raya has (moved) next to her name I assume that means her following Arishat was her turn? I'm fine with that, since I'm not exactly sure what this eladrin is up to yet.

(thinks) Wow, I think she really wants to get to know me bett--...waitaminute, she sounds just like Lureene! UH OH!!

The Exchange

M

this entire Thom/Arishat conversation here is headcanon by the way.

You moved, but you still have a minor and could use an AP, so I left it open :)

It's a family thing. One can't help but be influenced by one's ancestors.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

Now we know; Barel does care. He's willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for his friends.

Or rather, the penultimate sacrifice. Shaving cream is onvolved in the other one.

The Exchange

M

so when does the domination effect hit? on the Eladrin's turn?

All i know is my next action, if not dominated, will be amusing in response. :D

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

If it's like some other zones, it would attack at the start of your turn if you start a turn inside it, as well as when you first move into it. Although they vary.

The Exchange

M

Well I'm certainly interested to see where this leads then.

The Exchange

M

worst thing about this is that we're playing into Thom's hands, oh what a cunning one he is...

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

We can handle Thom. Or manhandle Thom, whichever is more appropriate.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

Arishat getting dominated seems to be a theme just lately. Superior Will next level, I think.

Silver Crusade

Female Human 18 Paladin/Heartwarder

One point of will is nice, but that pre-turn save boost is why I took it, of course in Epic you can always become Saint Arishat and never worry about it again.

To me the real question is Raya going to slap you again? :D

I imagine Lynore's going to hit that acrobatics check, so it might just be a moot point.

We can certainly hope so. She needs to be closer for Arishat to stab her.

'Saint' Arishat. Possibly a little less likely than Empress Arishat II, I think.

Silver Crusade

Female Human 18 Paladin/Heartwarder

Ahh passive aggressive in-fighting, I am truly accepted into the party now.

Human

Well, there are some quite robust warrior saints out there, so it's not utterly impossible. Just fairly unlikely.

Silver Crusade

Female Human 18 Paladin/Heartwarder

yeah, and no one in this group at all would go that route >.>

nope, noboI WANT TO BE CALLED SAINT IATOS!!!

oops ; ;

Hee hee hee, Fake Raya will be unarmed, I totally wasn't thinking of that when I dropped the blade!

Hmmm. In DM Rev's next post:

As a Minor Action, Fake Raya bends down and picks up the sword that's lying at your feet.

The Exchange

M

a calculated risk, but amusing to see that backfire.

How well you know me.

The Exchange

M

not that I have an issue with it, but wouldn't she have to occupy the square I'm in to get to it?

Human

She would indeed and doesn't actually have to as the simulacra has a copy of all your weapons. It's just such lovely image :)

The Exchange

M

It is, especially with the wry scowl from Raya 1.0

The Exchange

M

very nice, Rev. Of course YOU can get that thing to hit. Heh heh

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

This could get complicated. Can you do an immediate reaction to an immediate reaction?

Human

Don't see why not.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

Time to break out some Inspiring Words. And rather than let the (less) b$#%!y version of me keep her side upright, I think she has to be the priority target.

The Exchange

M

Rev, why you better at me, than me? XD I'm cringing at what I know is next round.

Engaging your alter ego will result in 15 damage every single attack, hit or miss. I made sure to let you know IG of course.

*ponder* does evil Raya have Mummy Rot too?

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

I may be posting erratically for a while. My father has had to go into hospital.

Human

The best of wishes to him and you.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

My father is out, and his heart is back to it's normal rhythm. It turns out to have been a virus causing it, and antibiotics took care of that.

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

If it was pericarditis, my father had that, and he made a full recovery with antibiotics. Best wishes to you and him.

Male Halfling Monk 18 / Ghostwalker

I am liking this combat. I kind of feel like Lanthair is in his element in this strange room. And it flexes dormant areas of the geometry parts of my brian.

Human

It's interesting for sure. Raya is in real trouble here. She'll be pushed to get to anywhere close enough to hit the thing and if she makes a mis-step could just end up splatting about like a ping-pong ball.

Thanks for the good wishes. He is greatly improved, his appetite is better, he has more energy; all round, a great improvement and a great relief.

Lanthair wrote:

It does seem to be a place where Lanthair is shining.

I'm half inclined for Arishat to bellow at Raya, telling her to stay near Thom to protect him. Don't want to get too spread out.

Human

Hmm. Good idea on Raya. I'll move her back on her next turn and hope she rolls well enough to make it without splatting herself.

M Hobgoblin Battlemind/Quicksilver Demon 17 (Foe Killer)

Yayyy for leveling!

Traded Accelerating Strike for Mindblade
Retrained Improved Defenses to Superior Fortitude (resist ongoing 6)

Will update sheet when I can, probably Monday.

Human

Good, good.

Post here when you're all sorted if you would.

M Hobgoblin Battlemind/Quicksilver Demon 17 (Foe Killer)

Ready to roll.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

Sorry. But Thom's record with the ladies invites a certain type of comment, and I couldn't (or at least didn't) resist.

BAD GIRL!! Someone deserves a spanking, he he.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

"See what I mean?"

The Exchange

M

just a heads up, I'm back in the land of the living now, ie: at home. Let me catch up, I'll be back in both games momentarily.

Human

So glad to hear you're on the mend.

M Hobgoblin Battlemind/Quicksilver Demon 17 (Foe Killer)

Back.

And she said "yes."

*goofy grin*

The Exchange

M

congratz, man! what a great way to kick off a new year!
