Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Ah yes, American Thanksgiving is this week. We did that back in October.

Go get stuffed! With delicious food. :D

Also, don't get trampled with all your Black Friday-ing!

Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}

I celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving in Ireland this year because there was a Canadian at the farm I was volunteering on... my first Canadian Thanksgiving ever :)

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

One of these days I'm going to get to celebrate boxing day...

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Boxing Day is great. Lots of leftovers, and plenty of post-Christmas sales if you can stomach a busy store.

After not posting for a few weeks, I have removed Cassandra from the game.

Thoughts on replacing her?

Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}

She was our positive energy source, yeah? Fairly important... eventually Darren will be going Paladin, though. I'm okay continuing without a replacement, but things might get hairy without somebody there who can heal everyone at once.

Shadow Lodge

F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}

Well dang. She was active enough in the other game I was in with her, so I didn't see this coming. Sorry, since that was my endorsement. I have some positive energy, Darren will eventually, but it still wouldn't hurt to look for a replacement.

Were there any others in the last recruitment thread that looked promising? Maybe you could try messaging them to see if they're still interested.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

That's a bummer, I'm for bringing in one of the other recruits if possible. Maybe just retcon and say they were rescued at the same time as Darren?

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Dern, that's a shame. Is there an alternate we can pull from the last recruitment drive?

Apologies for not updating last night. Internet was down for me, and my 7 mo old was cranky. Will do my best to update asap.

I'm reviewing applicants from the past few recruitment threads to see if I can find somebody. Also, I'm open if you guys know anybody who might be interested.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

No worries Haldhin. Take your time. I hope you're getting enough sleep. My 8 month old is mostly sleeping through the night, but there are still the occasional rough evenings.

Shadow Lodge

F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}

Ok, in the last recruitment thread we had 4 other healers submitted:

Joy - Lysa Arianna - Human Female Cleric of Pharasma
DarkLightHitomi - Scara - Tiefling Cleric (Scroll Scholar, Crimson Scales)
Jib916 - Keno Hamill - Halfling Cleric of Milani
Bilbo Bang-Bang - Brother Thomas Carnegie - Human Cleric (Merciful Healer) of Milani

Obviously, a Cleric of Pharasma would fit very well, thematically, with the campaign. I'm concerned a tiefling might not work so well. It might be interesting to have a second follower of Milani in the group (especially since she's such a minor deity), but neither of those characters really jump out at me.

So...my vote would probably be for Lysa, if she's still interested. Otherwise I guess we could open up another recruitment thread.

Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}

I can vouch for Bilbo Bang-Bang as an active player. I've been in at least one PbP with him in the past, and he's still posting these days.

I actually drafted Lysa for another one of my CC games, so she's not available. :)

If everyone is okay with it, I'd be up for PMing Bilbo and asking if he's interested.

Male Gnome Wizard (Fire) 3 (HP 19/24 AC 13, T 13, FF 11/ F +3, R +3, W +3/ Init. +2/ Per. +2)

I have no problems with Bilbo though I don't think we need a priest specifically. Any divine caster would be a good fit, I think.

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Cripes I'm the worst at posting. Figures we'd get into combat while I'm not paying attention.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

No worries Roland, looks like Haldhin will still let you post your action for Round 1. As for me, it looks like I used up all my good attack rolls on that javelin.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

Also, Haldhin, please do PM Bilbo, and if that doesn't work, I can think of several regular posters from other games I'm in that I could ask.

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

I don't think it's out of character for Roland to have been standing there horrified for the first round - it's all good. ;)

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

Just out of curiosity, is there any reason that Roland doesn't use his bomb ability?

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Close quarters. I'd throw them around, but I'm afraid of hitting everyone else.

Honestly, I should be using more mutations (especially considering the direction I intend to him) - but I've been falling for the "save it for an emergency" pitfall.

Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}

Hey guys just letting you know that I'm going on a long flight today. I'll be arriving in Bangkok sometime on Tuesday evening local time and it'll probably take a while to figure out hostels/internet, so it might be a day or two before my next post. Hopefully I won't be gone long!

Male Gnome Wizard (Fire) 3 (HP 19/24 AC 13, T 13, FF 11/ F +3, R +3, W +3/ Init. +2/ Per. +2)

You get to travel to some interesting places. Whenever I think of Bangkok I can only think of the song Abba wrote for the musical Chess. A few weeks ago I was excited just to be able to go to Seattle for the first time (though it wasn't exactly Seattle itself that I was excited about).

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

Ah, good old Murray Head. What was in Seattle, Oorin?

Male Gnome Wizard (Fire) 3 (HP 19/24 AC 13, T 13, FF 11/ F +3, R +3, W +3/ Init. +2/ Per. +2)

The filming of Gamers 3: The Hands of Fate. Though I did enjoy Seattle a lot. The cost of living out there is crazy high though. My house in Ohio is valued at about $140K. A similarly sized house in Seattle runs almost $750K. I just can't see how anyone could afford that.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

Very cool Oorin. How are you involved with the Gamers crowd? I like their videos a lot. Now, if only we knew what you and Haldhin are whispering about in the game thread.

I grew up north of Seattle about an hour, and knew of a lot of people who would live as far out as I did and still commute to the city for work (my mom included). Now she does actually live in Seattle, but in a basement apartment in one of her friend's houses, haha.

Male Gnome Wizard (Fire) 3 (HP 19/24 AC 13, T 13, FF 11/ F +3, R +3, W +3/ Init. +2/ Per. +2)

Until this Seattle trip, I wasn't involved with them at all. I backed the Gamers 3 kickstarter at a fairly significant level; high enough to get me (and the others who backed at that level) a small, but still credited, speaking role in the film. It was fun but the best part was just meeting everyone. I can't think of a single person who wasn't nice and I made a lot of friends out there. Now I'm just itching for GenCon so I can see them again (also, I think the first screening of the movie is happening there).

I talked to someone who was paying $3000 a month for a one-bedroom apartment. I'm assuming there are financing options that make it possible as I just can't see paying four times the cost of an apartment/house even with a decent paying job. I did like it out there though; seems a very cool place to live.

That's really neat, I can remember when the original Gamers came out. :)

Just to update everyone, I am in contact with Bilbo and he is working on a character concept.

Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}

If you don't mind the rain, haha, it's a pretty neat place. I've come to prefer Portland, Oregon, though: has more of a small-town feel, the weather is often more agreeable, and it's much cheaper. People say Portland is like what Seattle was 20 years ago.

I've heard a lot about the Gamers videos, but never actually watched them. I think I'd get a kick out of them, but I'll likely wait until I get home so that I'm not pirating it just because I'm abroad :P

Just wanted to let everyone know we've cleared 1,000 posts - the second of my campaigns to do that this past week. Really an awesome feeling as a DM, thanks everyone!

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Super fun so far! :D

Our new player is going to be joining us today. Let me know if the group wants to do anything else on the upper level. If not, they will meet somebody as they head down the stairs.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

I'm done. Bring on Bilbo Bang Bang!

I gotta say - I will be amazed if we make it through this entire place in one day. As a player, I have to say it's a terrible idea to even try. Shanoa's been out of spells and daily abilities for quite some time. But I can't think of any in-character reasons for her to want to stop - to the contrary everything that's been happening has been urging her further on and on.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

Everyone should be at full health and we still have 4 spirit siphons unused. Maybe Shanoa can take over on those.

Shadow Lodge

F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}

Not a bad idea.

Male Gnome Wizard (Fire) 3 (HP 19/24 AC 13, T 13, FF 11/ F +3, R +3, W +3/ Init. +2/ Per. +2)

Oorin's doing fairly well on spells. Most of his fire spells and abilities, except for one Produce Flame, haven't been needed or was hindered from using (didn't want to set the sheets on fire when they're wrapped around a companion) so I've been using the Xbow a lot. When that stops being efficient he'll probably switch to using his wand.

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

I've also been keeping my better abilities in reserve. That said - I'm keenly aware that that's not the case for everyone, and was actually going to suggest we break before heading downstairs. That is, until Cassandra was pulled into the abyss.

Shadow Lodge

F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}

Just out of curiosity, are we anywhere near leveling?

Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}

Hey guys sorry for being silent recently. I moved to spend some time on a small beach town and at the same time basically ran out of money. I can afford internet periodically, like right now, so I'll be slow posting for maybe a week or two (but still here)!

Please DMPC me, or somebody else can feel free to take over, if I'm ever slowing things down.

3 Cleric (Crusader) AC 19/ HP26/26 Fort 5, Ref 1, Will 6, Initiative 2

Hey guys, I am finally finished. Looking forward to carving up some beasties! Franc is powerfully built man with blue-black hair. His skin looks as though it has not ever been aged or exposed to a harsh ray. His connection to Ragathiel has given him an angelic appearance which is tempered by his brooding rage.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

Welcome aboard Franc. Glad to have you! (Were we supposed to level up to 3?)

That is what i received as the specs....lol

Shadow Lodge

F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}

Alright, alright. First off, welcome! Glad to have you on board!

Second, if you're gonna use Old English, do it right. Sorry, but I was an English major and it's just a pet peeve of mine. It's "Who art thou" but thou is a singular form of you. If you're referring to all of us, you would use "ye".

Ok, I think I'm done there. Gets off grammatical soapbox

Karl the Bastard wrote:

I told him to start at 3rd because I knew the rest of the group was very close. As fate would have it, I was correct (or lucky!). Finishing with the upper level gave everyone just enough for 3rd level!

So go ahead and level, just let me know if you're taking something really unusual.

Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)

Oh, oh! I'm going to multiclass as a Ninja! :D

The preceding statement does not reflect the true intentions of this player.

Ah, excellent. Time for my first monk level. My goal is to be first level in every class.
I have a +5 bonus to sarcasm.

Shadow Lodge

F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}

Ok, level up complete. Got a handful of new spells, weapon focus, and precise strike. If anyone else wants to grab that teamwork feat go for it but for my purposes I can use it with any ally (Solo tactics).

Karl, with your level in rogue you and I should probably try and flank things whenever possible so we both get the benefit.

Half-elf Ranger (Guide) 4 / Rogue 2 HP: (37/37) 49/49 / Init +4; Perception +16; AC 18/13/16; F+(3) 5, R+9, W+5; CMD: 21; Conditions: Mummy Rot - Con Damage: 4, Cha Damage: 4

How are we doing HP again? Straight roll, half+1, something else? I forgot, and can't seem to find it in the discussion thread.
