I would like to apologize to you for disappearing for the most part of the week. Circumstances beyond my control have left me no choice. My home city of Marikina in the Philippines was flooded for the most part since August 7, 2012 until today August 10, 2012. Water rose to as high as 20 meters. Power was cut to prevent electricity related fatalities, hence, the lack of posts.
For many of us here, this is the second time since 2009 that our homes have been flooded. We are still lucky since we are still here to celebrate our survival.
Now that power is constant, expect my posting to return to normal.
You definitely don't need to apologize! I'm stunned that this happened, and very happy you're well.
I feel dumb even asking, but is there anything I can do for you? I'm literally on the other side of the planet, but can I get you (and your family) anything via the internet?
Apologies for not posting last night. My wife and I are trying to adjust our sleeping schedule to better match our baby's schedule, and we both crashed early last night.

No, I'm still here. I apologize. I was at GenCon Wed. through Sun. but I thought with my new iPhone that posting would be easy and convenient as its Internet capabilites are far superior to my old Blackberry (the Blackberry wasn't a bad phone it was just lousy with the Internet).
But the phone was only a small part of the issue. I still didn't have much time to just sit down and post plus I didn't have my books or HeroLab files with me. iPhones seem to need almost constant charging whether they're used heavily or not. All in all, it didn't end up being easy or convenient at all.
Playing catch up has been hard. I do I.T. for a public school system and school just began which, for us anyways, is the worst time of the year. This year had the bad fortune of having GenCon the weekend before the schoolyear began (which I thought wouldn't matter because I expected to be able to keep up at GenCon and couldn't).
This link leads to a shared folder, and will be used for all maps going forward. When you click the link, you should see the current map, just click it to enlarge.
Sorry I've been quiet. Wife and I have been co-fighting something, and I pretty much spent the weekend in bed.
Regarding the pace of the game, summer is over (schools, no more vacation, etc), and we had a long weekend last week. I would be more concerned if this was the only game that slowed down, but it's not just us.
Anyway, I'm up enough to post again, so hopefully we'll get back up to speed this week.
Belated congrats to you! I hope you have a super fun time! Also, your response to "missing a bunch of posts" was perfect. Alone in a haunted prison indeed.
Hey Roland, congrats on your wedding! Thanks for the heads up too. Perhaps we can use the time to refill our ranks. (Don't know if that's feasible while we're in Harrowstone, but hey, doesn't hurt to ask I guess.
Awesome, you're still noobs then (according to my wife, any couple under a year is still new)! Seriously, congrats and have fun on the trip, I'll put it on my calendar so I won't forget.

Grats on the honeymoon then! It does remind me a bit about the play Guys & Dolls where two characters have been engaged for 14 years. But the female lied to her mother (who believed in big families) that they had been married for years and had 5 children.
Our group is a bit of an odd foursome: a Ranger/Rogue, Alchemist, Inquisitor and Wizard. I actually like the uniqueness of it but there's zero margin of error with only 4 characters. A dungeon's a lousy place to bring in another player but if Harrowstone is large I'm leery of going through it with a botted character that I'm going to continuously forget is there.
Male Human Alchemist 4 (HP 28/28 - AC15, T13, FF12 - F+5 R+6 W+2 - Init+2 - Perc+8) (Effects: +2 save vs Poison)
I admit, I'd also be more comfortable with another player being brought in - preferably a cleric or a fighter to help cover off our group's weaknesses.
F Human Inquisitor 4 {HP32/32; AC16/12/14; F+5 R+4 W+8; Init+7; Perc+10}
I wouldn't mind bringing another player or two in either. I agree - this is quite an interesting mix we have, and while we could probably make it work with just the four of us, we do have some weaknesses as Karl pointed out. I have some healing ability but not nearly what a cleric or oracle would have - I'm more like a divine bard.
I will post a recruitment thread tonight for 1 or 2 more characters, preferably one with full BAB progression, and another with some kind of positive energy healing.
I will also have a fairly short deadline, hopefully we can get a couple into the game by the end of the week.
Also, as previously noted I played with the changeling Oracle of Life before, in fact in this very campaign before it fizzled (didn't make it into Harrowstone). Also a good character and role-playing for his part.
We've got a couple of tiefling submissions and a half-orc...honestly I'm not sure how well they'd fit - this town seems to be a very superstitious and untrusting bunch and I'm afraid they'd just be run out of town on first sight.
The Aasimar and changeling I think would fare better for the most part.

Oracles are an interesing class; I've never played one though so it's hard for me to comment. I always find the Witch, Inquisitor and Oracle to be hard classes to judge because they can be so multifaceted.
I openly admit I dislike Aasimar's and Tieflings. Part of that is bias. I remember when they were first introduced in Forgotten Realms; at the time I didn't like them as it seemed to be part of rapidly increasing power creep of the setting. Not only that, it spawned a whole menagerie of half and partial races some of which were quite absurd. I've never been able to bring myself to like any version of them since. In any case, I think a Tiefling would be viewed with great suspicion in this AP.
As far as the fighter types, I like Barbarians but I'm not sure this is the AP I would bring one along on.
Thanks for the invite, DM Haldin. I was just checking the thread before heading off to bed (I have a 5 a.m. training class I have to attend). I will get Cassie updated to 2nd level and add an additional trait tomorrow.
I look forward to joining up with everyone soon.
Hiya, garabbott here, and I'll be playing Darren. I'll have an alias up and running within the next couple of hours! Thanks for choosing me, and I'm looking forward to gaming with all of you!
Human M Human Fighter 3 Paladin 1 {HP37/37; AC19/11/18; F+7 R+4 W+4; Init+5; Perc+3}
Here's the alias. I'm currently in a place IRL where my internet access is relatively limited, but I should be able to meet the 1 post a day request easily enough. It might take me a while, though, to read through the whole gameplay thread. I will read it all when I get to a more convenient place for doing so!
Darren and Cassandra, apologies, I'm not yet finished with your intro, but I will have it up first thing tomorrow morning. I'm guessing you both will get into the game this weekend, or Monday at the latest.
