Frostine |
She kinda gives another slight shrug, "That nasty old geezer in the forest made me realize something....that just a few of us at a time aren't gonna make a difference here and I'm sick and tired of feeling like my whole life is being driven by someone else. I'm done with that $hit." She says as her eyes grow a little darker, her hands that had been at her sides a few moments before had curled into fists once again, a slight chill resonating off of them.
Taking a deep breath she shakes out her hands and gives him a small smile of her own, "You're right...I don't need to hide anymore and I'm gonna make sure that by the time we're done here....little Ms Princess Prissy Pants will learn that there are some people you just do NOT Fu<k with. I ran once....I'll never do it again."
Frostine |
Getting herself under control she looks at Jerrica, "Sorry...guess I kinda got carried away again? I guess if you're really hungry we can eat." She says with a kind of smirk of her own as she shrugs her shoulders. Looking over to Corrie she says, "Could we get something to eat too Ms Corrie?"
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
Sig tries and fails to hide the grin that comes from Frostine's new found assertiveness. There was a lot more steel in her spine than she gave herself credit for.
Frostine |
Taking a deep breath she sits down at the table and waits for dinner. Looking around she asks, "Okay...so is everyone introduced then? If so I officially call this first meeting of People against Princess Prissy Pants to order." She says with a look of all seriousness.
Frostine |
She cocks her head to the side slightly as she gets a puzzled look on her face, "Hhmmm.....is it too obvious? I don't know, but calling ourselves the rebellion or whatever just seems so.....cliche, don't you think? If someone has a better idea for a name Id like to hear it. Otherwise, lets just move on from here. I've already stated my position on "thinning out" the competition. I will NOT attack another "player" unless threatened or provoked into doing so. Everyone is free to decide for themselves how to deal with being put in this hell place, that's just my choice. While Nolletta is recovering, the rest of us need to get stronger so we can get through this. Am I being clear on everything so far?" She looks around the table, fully aware that her ideals and ways of looking at things might not be accepted by everyone. That was okay, anyone that didn't agree was free to leave and deal with everything on their own.
Frostine |
Sighing quietly she acquieses Jerrica's point, "You're right, it's not the name that's important but the intent that's behind it. Just something to show that pile of cow dung that we're fed up and won't take her crap lying down." She says as she bangs her fist on the table for emphasis.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
"Drawing attention to a rebellian when still in it's infancy is usually a sure path to having it crushed, so a bit more subtlety is probably a good idea." Sig chimes in thoughtfully.
Frostine |
She nods, "Yeah....I can see your point there too. Well...we'll just keep doing what we're doing...we just have to be careful not to draw too much attention. I'll try to keep it low key, but I'll be honest and just say that I'm super pissed off at this situation we've been forced into and I'm not that good at subtle really....I'll try though okay?"
Frostine |
She sighs again and moves some food around on her plate before taking a bite and swallowing, "Fine.....so what? We rest tonight and start fresh in the morning? I guess we'll just take it a day at a time....that's all we can really do right?"
GM Boobear |
"We don't want to move as a large group," Risque says. "Tactically speaking, we lose an advantage to being in a large group and it seems that this Princess sends more monsters to counter-attack with. It would be better for us to work in teams of four unless we encounter something larger."
Thorgr ponders the changeling's advice. "She's right, not until we are stronger. Plus a smaller group draws less attention to us and our cause."
Frostine |
She almost chokes on the piece of food she's chewing before looking up at them, "What? Who me?! I've never led anything in my life. I don't know anything about tactics or the sort. I'm just a....I'm just me. I may be pissed off as all nine hells about this crap...but I don't think that makes me a leader....at least I'm pretty sure it doesn't. What am I supposed to say, and how am I supposed to choose?"
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
"You pick either the groups that are more likely to work together, or well balanced. For example one group would have Dangren and the other would have Gumdrop. People who have worked together in the past are probably better suited to it in this case." Sig says thoughtfully.
GM Boobear |
Thorgr nods at Sig. "If we take four who are not healers, perhaps we can 'cheat' the system a little and take Gumdrop with us."
The fairy thinks for a moment. "As long as I adhere to the other rules, I think that would work."
"So...since you four seem to get along well, why don't you go ahead and journey together?" Risque asks Thorgr, Jerrica, Sig and Frostine.
Frostine |
Taking a few bites of food she listens to the others as they try to work things out. Hearing that familiar sound in Gumdrops voice her heart goes out to the little fairy. Looking up at the others she takes a drink of water and says, "Yeah...that makes more sense. Fortify what we have here, while getting stronger along the way. We'll work out specific details about how to get each group stronger later. Also...I don't think amassing a hoard of people and bringing them here would be a good idea. Too many people equals too much attention as some of you have already wisely pointed out. We help others where we can....but we don't put ourselves at risk in the process. If someone comes at us, we defend ourselves if need be but we will not openly attack someone for no reason. I realize not everyone will agree with this way of thinking and that's okay. We don't need everyone to do what needs to be done. Hopefully others will come to the same conclusions I have about this mess we're all in and form their own alliances against the one that has wronged us all instead of taking it out on each other."
She takes a drink of water before continuing, realizing that she's becoming long winded. Looking at Thorgr, Sig, and Jerrica she nods, "I think that's a good idea. We'll head there first thing after breakfast and deal with things as they come. Thank you for being so patient with me, I just....I know I can talk a bit. We'll start on this tomorrow and hopefully when it's all said and done, everyone will get to go home."
Frostine |
Finally she looks at Gumdrop, "Don't feel bad okay? You're doing the best you can in awful circumstances, just like we all are. Everything will be okay. Just don't blame yourself for what she did to you."
Frostine |
Getting up from the table she nods to the others, "Excuse me please." As she leaves half of her food on her plate again, she goes into the kitchen to find Gumdrop.
"Gumdrop? I'm sorry if I upset you."
Frostine |
She sighs as she leans against the counter, "You're not useless, and what she did was very very wrong and we're going to make her pay for that. We know you're doing the best you can, don't feel bad okay? Besides...some healing is better than no healing at all right? We'll just work really hard to keep each other safe and try not to make your job too difficult, just hang in there and I'm sure things will get better. I'm still happy you're with us ya know."
Frostine |
She nods and gives Gumdrop a little smile, "Me too Gumdrop, me too." Thinking over the things the others had said she heads back into the common area, "Actually....I've been thinking. It's not "cheating" at all since she never actually constituted how many people could be in a "group". All she said was that groups without healers would be assigned a fairy. So...we should be fine." She says as she sits back down in front of her plate and takes another small bite before drinking some more water.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir |
"Doesn't really matter al that much. I get the impression she'll change them on a whim anyway, so barely ant point to learning them." Sig mutters taking a drink.
Frostine |
Frostine nods her head, "You're right....but she's no freakin' princess either. Not all princesses are apparently spoiled brats who....never mind. I don't think we need to call her anything at all. She is so low that she deserves not to be acknowledged. We just need to concentrate on doing what we need to do to keep ourselves safe so we can get through this." She says finally finishing her water.
Frostine |
She shakes her head, "Oh....okay. Well, I suggest then that we finish up eating and get cleaned up and well rested for whatever lies ahead tomorrow." She says before pushing the half eaten plate away from her and standing to go find the wash room so she could get cleaned up.
