The trip back is uneventful. Marleen stops at the foot of the mine path to inspect her tent. "It's ruined..."

Frostine looks at the tent and then back at Marleen, "What's ruined? Your tent? We can get you another one if you want. We're just glad that you're okay." She says, trying to give the young woman a reassuring smile.
"Ah kin find my own way home," Dorcas says, giving the group a slight bow in thanks.

"It's not jus' my tent," Marleen sighs, tears welling her eyes. "It means Ah have t' go back t' my da' and Ah don't want to."

Getting a strange look on her face she tilts her head slightly while looking at her, "I'm sorry....why don't you want to go back to your father? Is he mean to you? Has he hurt you?" She could totally understand if it was something like that. She knew how it felt not to want to go home.
I don't think anyone told Frostine who you were looking for.
Almost as an afterthought she looks over at the others, "Did we find who you were looking for, or do we need to go back in there? I really think we need to figure out a way of seeing in the dark if we're gonna have to go back in there because that was not a fun fight. At least one of us...if at all possible."

"Yes actually. Marleen, your father is why we ended up finding You in the first place. He recommended your work and told us where to find you, which is how we discovered what happened." Sig says.

Don't forget about the ore deposit he gave you to give to her as a peace offering. I think it was silver...but I don't remember for sure. I've been re reading stuff a lot lately. It's the only way I can remember anything at all. Lol

Jerrica digs around and produces the piece of ore the blacksmith gave them. "Your father told us to bring you this as a peace offering."
"No, it's nothing like that," Marleen says before Sig and Jerrica interject. She looks at the piece of ore. "Ah suppose Ah can forgive him, though. So what's this about my work?"

"Let's get you home first, then we can talk about it," Jerrica says, leading the way back to the blacksmith's.

Confused by what was going on she shakes her head before putting a hand on Jerrica's arm, "Wait...so are we like done for now, or are we gonna go back to fight more of those ugly things?"

Blushing slightly she nods, "Yeah....I don't think I have certain...things out of my system yet." She says with a sly wink and a smile as she looks up at Thorgr.

Sig chuckles, giving the couple a grin. "Well off you go, back to it then."

She nods at her friends before they head back, "Thanks guys." She says before they head back to their host's house. Getting to the door she goes inside, "Bruldora, are you home?"
"In the kitchen, dear," Bruldora answers.

Frostine goes in the kitchen with Thorgr, "Well...we found the young woman they were looking for and she's okay. The others are taking her back to her father, the Blacksmith. We can't do much else there until the others have a chance to heal and rest.....so we were wondering if we could get that key back from you? We'd still like to be alone tonight...if that's okay?"
"Of course," Bruldora says, handing the key to Frostine.

She gives Bruldora a hug, "Oh thank you....just for everything. We'll see you in the morning okay?" Taking the key she puts it in a pocket in her dress before turning to Thorgr, "Ready to go love?"

Thorgr carries Frostine over the threshold as they re-enter the cottage. "I hope there are no more interruptions."
The blacksmith beams as Marleen walks back in. "Ach, Ah'm glad t' see ye."
"Same here, pa," Marleen says. "Ah'll tell ye about it later though."
She turns to face Jerrica, Dagmarr and Sig. "So what are ye after?"

After they get inside the little cottage she peppers his face and neck with soft kisses as he carries her over to the bed.

"Well, we were thinking to get our friends a pair of interlocking silver necklaces as a wedding gift." Sig replies.
"Ah can probably do that for ye, but Ah might need a picture t' see what ye have in mind," Marleen says, producing a piece of parchment and a pencil from her bag.
