Figgy, please move yourself on the map. You couldn't see any of them where you were. Also use the color coding people, it makes it easier on me.
Figgy's bomb splashes besides Red. Reflex: 1d2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Badly burning the small green creature.
Olimpia takes a quick step into the room and casually slices and dices Blue. They only have 5hp, overkill much?
Roga followed her in, his heavy blow just missing Yellow.
Awaiting Raktar and JJ. Red is badly wounded, others untouched.
AC16 and 5hp for these pests.
Jeremiah Johnston |
"I know what these are, Vegepygmies. I think they are created by a rather nasty mold and are basically plants."
"Those are vegepygmies, little plants. Use fire!"
JJ cursed when he heard the word fire. "Figures that the one piece of loot that would come in handy for these guys is also one of the items we sold for money! He yelled as he rushed for a position to open fire on the little enemies. What he lacked in fire, he (hopefully) made up for in firepower as he picked his target. "Roga! Olimp! Firing through!

Raktar Garnok |
Raktar has no idea what these vegetable creatures are, but the mention of them being created by a mould seems weird and wrong, so he charges forward before the mould can create any more.
He waits until JJ has fired before slipping past his friends into the mouldy room, moving round a fungus covered object in the middle of the chamber, and tries to crush one of the little creatures.
Move Action to move into the room next to purple (can I be moved please?), Standard Action to attack purple.

Those outside the room here another door hiss open and a Slightly larger Vegepygmy steps out of the west room, a glowing light hammer in one hand as it turns to face the party.
The party can now act again.
Dilana Hemlock |
Dilana ducks and dodges around to get a line of sight on one of the plant folks. Her eyes flash as she tries to lower the creatures armor.
Evil Eye DC14 -2AC vs Purple
Jeremiah Johnston |
Splattering one of those things gave JJ a sense of satisfaction. When he saw the bigger one coming towards him is when he started to panic a bit, especially since this one seemed to be better armed. "You picked the wrong opponent to try and flank!" He yelled at the walking plant as he reloaded and fired at it.

Jeremiah spins around, yelling "You picked the wrong opponent to try and flank!" at the new arrival. Showing he was telling the truth when he blew a large part of the creatures head off.
Sadly despite the gaping hole where it's brains should be the creature keeps moving towards the party.

Seeing Roga has killed Green Olimpia steps back into the corridor and casually ends the existence of the large Vegepygmy. Still confused as to what had just gone through his mind he doesn't even see the Android who calmly takes what is left of his head off.
Red has 1 hp left, catches a splash of Alchemists fire thrown by Figgy and dies alone and in despair. :)
This is the last for this level so I decided to wrap it up quickly.
Loot for the fight and rooms C6, C7 and C8.
Light hammer + 1 from the Vegepygmy chief.
In Room C6 you find the remains of the Brigh worshippers, their bodies marked by Russet mold infection and clearly the source of the Vegepygmies.
Silver holy symbol of Brigh 3 (25gp each).
Light hammer MW 3.
Chainmail MW.
Ring of protecton + 1.
Potion of Cure moderate wounds 3
50gp.
Nothing of any value in the other rooms.
So it's time for the magic elevator ride. Which floor are you selecting first?
Figgy Greasefitter |
Figgy will walk over to his fellow Gnome's, "Sad loss for Brigh this day, all that knowledge is now lost."
Figgy will pick up the holy symbols cleaning them off and putting them into his bag. "I will return these to the temple once we go back up."
is the gear gnome sized?
Dilana Hemlock |
Nice pile of stuff.
Dilana takes one of the holy symbols and puts it around her neck to wear.
Roga, savage technologist |
Roga, happy to see the plant-people finished, goes over and inspects the loot they found.
He weighs the magical hammer with his own warhammer but is not keen on keeping it, "If only it were a little bigger. I can hardly get my two hands on that thing."
He excuses himself and pockets one of the potions, "I think I need these more than you all do. But I'm happy to share if you ever need it."
--------------
ELEVATOR
Roga looks to the smart people to make a choice, "Is this the only floor we have been to?"
-----
I'd like the ring but I'm sure lots of people of do as well. :(
Can I use two hands on a light hammer?
Olimpia Beta II |
Olympia would like a potion healing too. She would love the ring but has magic armor already and has a better AC than Roga, so she is ok with Roga taking it. She gets the next one. :)
Dilana Hemlock |
Needless to say Dilana wants nothing.
Raktar Garnok |
Kneeling by the bodies, Raktar says short prayers to both Brigh and Pharasma, asking that the priests' knowledge be returned to the minds of others before their souls are sent to the Boneyard. He stands, dusts off his trousers, and moves on with the rest of the group. "Where are we going next then? Are you sure this lift is safe?" he asks Figgy.
I'd like to throw my hat into the ring for that ring. I don't mind where we go next.
Figgy Greasefitter |
"Well lets go up the to the top floor, then we can go down?" Before waiting for an answer Springy will hit the button to go to the top floor. Figgy will give him a stern look.
GM_DBH |
Moving back to the elevator you find that touching the destination deck on the panel will move you to your chosen destination.
Deck 4: Engineering
Deck 3: Science
Deck 2: Crew
Deck 1: Docking
Touching the Deck 1 or Deck 2 lines results in an error message in Androffan: "The deck you have selected is off-line-please make another selection." Tapping Deck 4 causes the elevator to lurch, and then rise up to the upper level-the doors to area D1 open automatically after 2 rounds of travel.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
After a quick but eerie journey upwards the elevator stops, as the doors open you become aware of two things; the constant loud sound of machinery working away, and an overwhelming stench.
Perception checks please people. It's dim lighting in this area.
D1
A cloying, animalistic stink fills the air of this hemispherical room. To the north and south, curved ramps lead up to hallways leading out of the room, while several doors sit in the east wall. Flickering lights flash and strobe on the ceiling, and the gray metal walls are scorched, dented, and partially broken in places exposing colorful wires or metallic struts within. Four mounds of rubble, cloth, and bones lie scattered about the room.
You see 4 Thylacines who have been pacing and waiting for the elevator doors to open so they can attack.
New map up top. Engineering deck. Please inform me who has taken which item from the last encounter please.

He kept repeating JJ's instruction in hopes of finally landing a hit with his pistol.

"Not as bad as the sand room, but still kinda dark..." JJ commented as he looked around as Dilana lights things up with Roga's weapon. "That'll help things a bit." He added as he readied his pistol for danger.
I need nor want nothing from the last encounter. While a potion would be nice, I'm not a front line fighter, so I'm not as likely to be damaged unless it's from ranged attacks.

I too took one CMW potion. While I'd love the ring my AC is better than both Roga and Raktar so I'll defer for now. I think that starting with normal wealth put me a little ahead of everyone else wealth wise anyway.
Jeremiah Johnston |
Sorry if it's not clear. You are in combat, it's dim light and you can make out the dog things a bit, and hear them snarling. They heard the elevator coming so were waiting for you.

Raktar struggles to see much of anything in the dim light of the upper floor but the noises and stench of the animals are pretty clear. Again he uses his magic to guide the blows of his friends, channelling his power into the metal of their weapons with a quiet word and a flash of silver.
Standard Action to cast bless on everyone.

Ok, combat is starting.
Jeremiah & Olimpia you pick out the Fanatic (red) lurking in the shadows.
Olimpia you also pick out the Fanatic (yellow) lurking in the shadows on the other side.

Raktar, you didn't see Yellow or Red due to your position in the elevator, when you move forward you'll see both.
Figgy Greasefitter |
Figgy will wait for the larger folks to move out of the elevator, "I still cannot see, I cannot be of any help this far away." Figgy will play around with one of the batteries he has acquired.

Dilana fixes one of the animals {yellow} with a withering stare as her eyes flash red and she emits a small laugh.

Olimpia Beta II |
Calling out to her allies Olympia announces the presence and locations of both Red and Yellow fanatics. Do we know anything about these fanatics already? Jeremiah & Figgy your actions please.
@Olimpia. No, this is the first time they've encountered these Fanatics. They did have information that an Android woman had lead a band of Half-orcs and Ratmen into the ruins a few days before anyone was aware of the their existence, and before the Torch went out.
