Not that I expected to find a magic wakizashi anywhere in the loot, but I have now spent all my money on items that we have found. +1 weapons and armor. I think I have gone from being the best equipped based on my starting gear to average at best. Oh well.

Somehow I am thinking that nothing in this AP is going to drop a headband of vast intellect or anything else cool like that lol.

Figgy is not really Melee, if it would serve the group better to sell it then so be it. If not he would take it.

I think everyone should have an enchanted weapon and it makes good sense for a gnome to have a hammer to tinker on things. Just have it out when we need to flank with you. :)

I'm gonna get myself a few batteries while we're in town. Gotta have something for when that techno gun when I run out of charges. I got it, might as well make some use of it from time to time. I think... 10 Batteries ought to last me a while, so that's a 1000 Gold. I only wish I could build techno guns so I could save for those. Alas, I'd have to spend a feat on it since I doubt Gunsmithing alone would count.

Borrow Beads are always great. Once you get a few good potions and alchemical allocation to reuse those potions you are gonna wand some second level beads. They are pretty pricey though at 4k each. But for now each 1K bead lets you reuse a first level extract.

I seem to recall that you can actually have someone else cast spells for your item creation feat or even use scrolls and UMD, if you have UMD.

Also you can skip some of the prerequisites for item crafting by increasing the DC of the crafting check by 5. So if you don't know the spell you need, it's just slightly harder to craft rather than ruled out entirely.

So I spent a very productive day theorycrafting characters, based on last week's discussion of other Adventure Paths.

Does anyone else have a list of characters they'd like to play in each AP, or is it just me?

Next for my live group is The Ironfang invasion, and I'm thinking hard on what to play? Since my current character is Arcane, and the one before was a divine caster I'd like something different.

I try to play something different for each game rather than having a particular type I always play.

That's what I do, and why I came up with at least three different characters for WotR - an inquisitor of Iomedae, a high guardian fighter aiming to get into the Heritor Knight PrC, or an unchained summoner who fights alongside his archon ally.

Ironfang Invasion might be the next AP once our group finishes Mummy's Mask. I've narrowed it down to two choices - a gnome hermit herbalist who gets caught up in the attack and carried along with the group (probably a witch or a shaman) or an elf whose family was killed by the Ironfang Legion and has vowed vengeance against them and their kind (probably a slayer who worships Calistria, a slightly darker woodland Batman [Batelf?]).

Yeah, I have a mental list for what I would want to play in most. Amazing I still want to finish RotRL with a cleric but every group peters out.

I just started Ironfang Invasion with a pure wizard who starts at 79 years old and we are using age modifiers. I have a feeling it is going to be a brutal game.

I had a brawler all decked out for Ironfang but am now using him in another game (similar style).

I have narrowed down my choice to a dwarf geokineticist or an elven magus (eldritch archer).

Any ammo with those battered pistols? While being the group's primary source of bullets and powder is fine, I also wouldn't mind getting some from the wilds.

They had 10 bullets each, so after the shots fired lets say 75 bullets and power. The guns are crap though. They were Gunslinger1/Rogue1. So the standard gun that only works for the Gunslinger.
