Agreed on chipping in on 'party supplies'.

BTW, a couple of my games are on their 'death throes', meaning they have slowed down considerably and the GM is 'disappearing' for longer and longer periods of time. For those new to PBPs, this is a sure sign of the game soon coming to an end. :(

Anyway, let me know if you are aware of a game that moves a decent pace (1 post per day) with a committed GM needing players.

If I can have a day, I'mma make my gun Masterwork via Gunsmithing and get 11 bullets and powder made up. I may want to retrain to Techslinger, but I may save that for the end of the first book, whenever that may be.

I'd like to buy a masterwork breastplate, a masterwork earthbreaker, and a set of masterwork weaponsmith's tools - if such things can be found at short notice in Torch.

If it's masterwork then it's available, even the Earthbreaker has a good chance of being around. Plenty of the more barbaric types in Numeria. :)

It will take some time for Khonnir to be healed, so you have plenty of time for retraining and shopping.

Agreed. You cannot expect to play a 2-3 year long game and not have people take vacations, be extraordinarily busy, sick, etc.

With having at least 5 players, it makes it easier when one (two?) players are missing and the GM can hopefully still move the game along.

In one of the games I am GMing the players have started subbing for each other if someone is out. It came up because of a honeymoon one of the players had the nerve to book for two weeks. Not a bad idea at all.

Some bad, bad and good news.

My brother was operated on nine years ago for a malignant brain tumor, it has just made a return and he's in for another operation on Wed 19th. As he's down in Dunedin and living on his own my mother is heading down to be with him while he's in hospital. Mum was a nurse for over 50 years and is the master of these sorts of situations.

This means I'm heading out to look after my father again, as he's getting a bit forgetful in his old age. So I'll be spending two days out there and coming back to my place every third day.

Good news is they have a nice new PC, and a connection that isn't being upgraded with glacial slowness, I did this last year and had no problems running the game. In fact it will improve with a decent connection.

Just got word from Tybalt that his computer is now well and truly a fancy paperweight. He's been having troubles with it due to it's condition ever since the job transfer, but it's finally gone the way of the dodo. He'll work on getting a new one, but his phone is his only option at this point and I know how difficult it is to try and post from such a device.
