Dilana, that wand of Ray of Exhaustion is listed on the loot sheet with your name on it. You had said it was a UMD roll for you so Olimpia was gonna take it. But I checked and Ray of Exhaustion is on the witch list, so unless its somehow not on your list, you should certainly take it. Did you have it recorded?
Hmm today is the day I learned all online databases are not created equal. Guess I picked the wrong link when I looked at that one.
I recorded the enfeeblement. I can take the exhaustion as well, gives me more debuff tools.

Okay, if everyone is good with the split we can sell the rest. Everyone gets 2,905 gold pieces and 1 copper piece.
Dilana Hemlock |
Hip hip hooray for Valeria.
Figgy are you just trying to buy or saving money and getting mats?
GM_DBH |
Thank you very much Valeria, I appreciate your hard work.
I've been bumping up the encounters, and as I've told you adding more to increase your loot, a party of six needs more than one of four after all.
How do people feel about their level of wealth and gear? Good enough, or a few more randoms with some equipment you can gain?
And on that note, if you can afford it Wulfgar has it, so buy what you want.
Raktar Garnok |
Thanks for your hard work Valeria, really appreciated.
I think I'm doing OK gear-wise, based on the automatic bonus progression baseline. The smart armour was a big boon for me, as it means I probably won't need any further armour upgrades (other than making it more magic).
Now that we've got some cash and some time, do people want some weapons and armour crafting?
Raktar Garnok |
Weapons I can do now - though the actual manufacture of things like that takes an age so it'd be quicker if people had the masterwork versions already so that I can enhance them quickly.
Armour will probably have to wait until next level when I can put some ranks in Craft (armour), but again if people want to get masterwork armour and the magic components now then I can get things done quickly next level.
Dilana Hemlock |
When I purchased crafting materials I now see a typo in my post. It should have been 2000gp which is what I had deducted in Herolap. Just want to be transparent.
Also purchasing 2 Spring Loaded Wrist Sheaths for the wands, 5pmg each assuming they are available.
I would love to take the time to craft the headband but lets see if we can deal with the Chimera first. SHould build our rep.
Raktar Garnok |
GM - what's your feeling on straight swaps of equally priced items?
I'd like to trade in my ring of protection +1, which is already somewhat obsolete as I can cast shield of faith and will only become more so when my spell bonus goes up to +3 next level, for an amulet of natural armour +1? They're the same price, so I'm hoping Wulfgar will go for an equal trade.
Olimpia Beta II |
Valeria, does that total include the 297 you mentioned earlier? I am betting it does.
As promised Olimpia pays Roga back the 1800gp loan.

Unsure what your priorities are but Olimpia would like her masterwork cold iron blade enchanted to +1 so that both her swords are enchanted. She should be able to just afford that after paying Roga back.

No, it doesn't.

There's the spell Masterwork Transformation which would help in crafting items.

I can do that in one day with 1000gp worth of crafting materials.

That's true, but I don't know it and the material component cost makes it prohibitively expensive to use on a wand or scroll. The only effective way we could use it would be to club together to buy Dilana a scroll so that her familiar can learn it.
I'll need you to tell me if you're going to rest up and do some crafting, or head after the Manticore now?
Remember Dinvaya's temple has a work area you can use.
I'd favour taking a day or two to make stuff. I don't think we're on a clock, and it would give time for news of our destruction of the Smilers to filter round town.
Dilana Hemlock |
I am fine either way. Manticore or two crafting days to make my headband.
Olimpia Beta II |
I vote for Manticore now and crafting after.
Olimpia will give Ratkar 1000 gp for him to procure the need materials to enchant her masterwork blade.
Valeria Starr |
Actually it would take four days to create the headband. Per the Magic Item Creation Rules "Creating an item requires 8 hours of work per 1,000 gp in the item's base price (or fraction thereof), with a minimum of at least 8 hours". The Headband's base price is 4,000 gp, the material costs are 2,000. From Craft Wondrous items feat "To create a wondrous item, you must use up raw materials costing half of its base price".
Dilana Hemlock |
I was operating that there might be an assist roll available to help with the time which might not happen. Kind of going off the idea outlined earlier.
GM_DBH |
You can easily have 4 or 5 days for crafting, as I've said, you have an area that is protected and has a workshop. Dinvaya is actually glad to have some civilized company and conversation.
@Raktar, Wulfgar agrees to your request for a trade. You get the amulet in place of the ring.
@Dilana, you get the spring loaded wrist sheathes, lots of people like them in Numeria.
Raktar Garnok |
Thanks GM - was a silly oversight a few levels OK, thanks for letting me correct it.
Dilana Hemlock |
OH a GM on painkillers.
You do still remember saying that something went very right on the headband I made at it came out +6 Int instead of +2 right? Sure you do.
Olimpia Beta II |
Traveling and lost my laptop in airport security. They found it and are mailing it back to me. But I will be without it til Tuesday. Please not me if needed. I can read posts and so simple responses on my phone but complex combat is beyond me.
Dilana Hemlock |
It will be 100% Dilana's own fault that she is dead I realize and I doubt a wand in the mouth of a dead woman will help. The trauma kit was a good thought but she really catastrophic.
As a player I should have been more defensive, I did not really register the scope of the damage that was coming in. I have not really played a full caster enough to see how fragile they are. At least I have an idea for a backup if it comes to it.

Not a wand down the throat but a CMW potion.
I know Roga's barbarian but he's not that stupid. :)
Dilana Hemlock |
LOL I read it quite a bit before I posted it and then was listening to a real play podcast since then. I am clearly confusing things thinking of your referring to being useless with a wand. My mind put it together as healing her insides lol.
Sorry Roga. Perhaps she will live, I have no idea if the healing would be cumulative when that far below zero. I have never had a character this far below zero not just be ripped in half dead.
Olimpia Beta II |
So Olimpia wants to help. I could have sworn I posted an action for when the enemy was 100 feet away. Please have Olimpia hide as that action and take a show with her musket as her first round action. Sneak attack if possible of course.
Jeremiah Johnston |
Welp, I may have been absent for a bit longer than I would have liked, but my life is stable now and my return is now. I've been in contact with the GM and he told me that moment was the right time for JJ to come back.
I apologize for the inconvenience of my sudden departure back then as well as the inconvenience of my sudden reappearance, but if it's all the same, I am happy to be back.
Olimpia Beta II |
I'll be at a small con Friday-Sunday and will have little time to post. Please bot me if needed.
Dilana Hemlock |
lucky
Raktar Garnok |
Just a heads up that I'm off on holiday at the beginning of next week. I'll normally be posting from GMT, but the wife and I are flying to Mexico on Monday so it may set some of my posting back a little. We're only there for just over a week so things will return to normal after that.
Jeremiah Johnston |
Sorry you had to bot me. Would've posted this morning my internet not been out. Only just got it back and I'm too exhausted to post now. Will try to get a post in before work tomorrow.
Olimpia Beta II |
I am leaving for a 10 day trip tomorrow. My posting will be limited to shorter posts from an iPad and likely only in the evenings. Please bot me if I get behind. I travel home on the 17th and should be back to normal on the 18th.

Has everybody leveled up?
What are you doing now, straight at the Lords of rust, or back for some rest and restocking?
Looks like we be heading to the temple. On that note though, I do believe Roga has yet to level.
