Interesting note, because I love sharing knowledge and a daisho is my RL favored weapon set,
Samurai don't need to use whetstones. European weapons do because the europeans made softer blades so they wouldn't shatter when blocking with the result the the edge wouldn't hold well. The japanese on the other hand developed swords that had a hard edge that would stay sharp and a soft back that could withstand blocking, that and the process to produce such is why they have one edge instead of two. Besides the sword polishers use a variety of very expensive whetstones for over a year to make the blades as sharp as they are (Sharp enough to to slice human hair long ways,and can cut bullets without taking damage, even a 50 cal needs multiple hits to damage a katana), and used properly will stay that sharp.
Well, I wasn't reffering to that, it was just interesting stuff you reminded me of. I don't expect the game to be actually realistic, I mean, they put a staff as a simple double weapon, that alone should tell you they don't simulate combat ability very well.

Sorry about the recent lack of posting, we've been trying to complete code before thanksgiving because right after it, it will go live. I've pretty much wrapped up my part and shouldn't be working insane hours from now on.
This week with being a Holiday week we all know it is going to be tough for anyone to post. I will have no internet access at all from Wed night till Monday morning, when I come back to work, so I will not be able to post too much if at all, The GM has the right to NPC me till then if needed, I will hope how ever that the GM will keep my char in tact and not do anything out of the norm for my PC

@wilrana: If a number of people will be gone, I'll pause the game until after the holiday weekend. And I never harm bubbled people.
@john: You can either swap or use survival. Take your pick, although I surmise Survival will be more useful in the long term.
