Sterron Stargard |
What gear did the Elf Girl have
"Does the Elf girl have any gear that can help us?
If Garox allows Sterron will search her for useful gear
The Maiden of Gold |
"Hsss. Wide open. Unclimbable walls. Stealth seems out of the questionsss." Errgh, stop hissing!
"Perhaps we should throw caution to the wind. Perhaps Zar can distract them with one of his dogss? They will send someone to investigate, and we can take advantage of the chaoss."
The Maiden fidgets as she hisses yet again.
This isn't what I wanted at all...
Sterron Stargard |
"One way in... yup.. Lets go in staggered to not present a target"
Zarzuket Endiwahd |
Scroll 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

Scroll 3: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Scroll 4: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Yes, I could summon up something that could cause some distractions. Either that or if we don't see anyone, maybe we can hurry across and get close to the wall.
Sterron Stargard |
Sterron moves up to the wall close to the entrance
Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
The Maiden of Gold |

perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Doing a very poor job at both.
The Maiden of Gold |
The Maiden closely follows Garox. She notices the fey guard come alert and stare at Sterron.
I don't want them to ambush Sterron...alas.
The Maiden prepares for a KO blow in case either creature passes her unaware.

Zarzuket Endiwahd |
Once figuring out what the scrolls were, Zar hands them over to Sterron as he has no way to use them at the moment.
Seeing the guards and watching them come alert, Zar lsips his wand out and attempts to hide within the forest near him.
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
And apparently, I'm standing out in the middle of the area.
Also, any Knowledge rolls to see what the creatures are?
The Maiden of Gold |
The Maiden continues to crawl close to the entrance, hoping the beast didn't notice her.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Garox Fang |
Garox stands at the ready should either of them attack, readying an attack once it comes into his reach.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
GM Baerlie |
Zarzuket knows that the creature is a fey, has low-light vision and it can fly. It has 0 ft. reach and is very small. diminutive It can speak with animals and if the fey is invisible, it can make sneak attacks. The dog is a usual riding dog.
PF: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
PD: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Non Lethal Damage + Sneak Attack: 1d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (5) = 8
Zarzuket Endiwahd |
Unsure where the fey has gone to, Zar hurries his steps toward Garox and Sterron.
Be wary friends. The little one can inflict serious wounds now that it's invisible.
Garox Fang |
Seeing that his associate attacked the dog, Garox moves in due to lack of a better target and does the same.
attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
dmg: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12
Not sure if getting sneak dmg here, but if so. 1d6 ⇒ 1

Sterron moves into reach range and swings at the dog as well
Fauchard: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 141d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
GM Baerlie |
I consider your attacks as a 'surprise' for the dog as it did not act, sneak attacks are ok
The Maiden and Garox attack the dog, but only The Maiden is able to kick it. Sterron's attack with the fauchard defeats the dog.

fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
"What the..." Garox says as he starts to shrink to the size of a halfling.
He looks around to see if he can find the little fey who cast the spell on him.
I assume we can hear / see him now? attack with earthbreaker if I can reach him otherwise bolas
Garox moves to attack the fey with either bolas or earthbreaker.

Garox Fang |
How long does it take for Garox to get to his normal size again?
"Wait! Is this something permanent or temporary? I do not prefer to be in this size."
Zarzuket Endiwahd |
I'm not sure, but I don't believe that something that went down so quickly could change your size permantly. Anyways, what's wrong with being this size?
Zar gives the now same-sized man a level stare before smiling and following the others into the canopy.
Sterron Stargard |

GM Baerlie |
Until there is something which can spot you or if you do something which creates noise or a lot of movement. I will tell you if I need another one. Just tell me that you are sneaking or hiding or something.
Six hammocks hang suspended from the thorns here, crisscrossing along the thorny walls. Two oaks provide shade and shelter from wind and rain. A few clothes hang from the thorny walls. The hammocks and clothes seem simply made. Near one of the tree trunks is a large, sturdy chest. Near the other is a smaller chest, whose open lid reveals several scrolls and tomes. Gaps in the walls allow exit to the northwest, north, and northeast.
The Maiden and Sterron spot a secret exit in the west wall.
The Maiden of Gold |
The Maiden approaches the large treasure chest, keeping quiet and looking for traps.
If she's not detected, she will try to unlock it.

If needed he will help with unlocking the chests.
DD: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
GM Baerlie |
The Maiden and Zarzuket try to open the chests. The larger chest is locked with a good lock, but the smaller chest is unlocked. While The Maiden picks the lock Zarzuket goes through the content of the small chest and finds nothing more of interest.
I assume you want to try the key with the lock of the large chest
Zarzuket hands the key over to The Maiden and she easily unlocks the chest with the key. The large chest contains much more interesting stuff: a birch wand and patterned leaf.
The wand and the patterned leaf are magic
The patterned leaf that acts as a scroll of grove of respite.
It is a wand of eagle eye with 12 charges remaining.
