Cathryn eyes the ravine, staring down into the darkness thoughtfully.
Its been dangerous thus far, though that danger will likely be trivial to what lies ahead.

Turning back to the Dragon, Cathryn smiles warmly.
"Master Vallonzo, I would greatly appreciate such a spell. I have the ability to fly when needed through magic but it is of short duration and I am not at my best while doing so through such magic."

Doppel stands impatiently for there to be an accord.

Well, for the GM's benefit, either way the spell will be cast. All that changes is who has it. I believe we can assume everyone without permanent flight will take it. So, onward?

"The longer we dither over things like this the bigger the chance the enemy finds us. Cast it and let's move on, Valonzo."

Probably won't matter but it's worth noting that Valonzo's Fly is, likely, at a higher caster level. I might just be paranoid though because I really suck at flying.

Male Human Monk 5 (Qinggong Master of Many Styles from the Sacred Mountain)/Fighter (Brawler) 3

Need is kind of irrelevant since it's not like Mass Waterbreathing or something. It affects a set number of targets with the full duration, o there's no downside. Besides which, the headband is at CL 8, while this spell is at CL 22. Meaning it gives you a +7 Fly skill bonus over what your headband's Fly spell grants you, and lasts for 220 minutes (since Mass Fly is 10 min/level in duration) instead of 8 so you won't have to worry about getting caught with your pants down mid-combat as much. How about we assume everybody accepts the spell and moves on? We've already waited a week to properly get started, no reason for further delays over something so silly.

When Valonzo makes everyone invisible, Cha'Tima doubles down on becoming undetectable, shifting partway into the Ethereal Plane.

Activate Anchoring Spirit. I am now invisible and incorporeal (which means I move perfectly silently and have no smell, foiling most uses of Blindsight and Blindsense since they're generally sonar based, as well as Scent, and effects that detect living creatures since it actually grants me the Incorporeal subtype). To everyone here, I basically just vanish off the radar, save for those with See Invis and True Seeing up.

Round 1

Finally, Doppel drops the facade of playing along. Until now he had only followed instructions out of convenience; faced with no other tempting alternative. Now, however, a prospective challenger descended upon them from above. With a mighty roar of his own he quickly ascends to meet the dragon.

Free Action to enter Mighty Bloodrage; casting Burst of Speed on myself as part of entering the bloodrage; casting Resist Energy (Cold) using Arcane Bloodrage; casting Displacement using Greater Arcane Bloodrage. Swift Action to activate Quick Runners Shirt; moving 50 ft towards the dragon. The remainder of my actions will assume this puts me into melee range; as I can't see the map right now I will spoiler them in case that is not the case.

If I make it to melee:

I misread whtknt's earlier post. Here is what I will do instead:

"We need to drop it quickly. Hit it with everything you have!"

Rowan's words seem to carry more gravitas, and you feel your limbs fortified. They also seem to resonate with your weapon(s), causing them to vibrate ever so slightly. Inspire Courage as a swift action, which will give everyone effected by it +1d6 sonic damage on all weapon attacks.

Rowan will then fire off a volley from his sling:

Cha'Tima decides to try and take it down with a single well placed shot to its Ki nexus. He reappears on the Material in a flash, fingers dripping poison, and notches an arrow, taking aim at the dragon's heart chakra point.

Swift: Activate Poisoner's Stance.

"If this works get ready to move in case it has friends."

Damage: 1d8 + 24 ⇒ (3) + 24 = 27 Sonic damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

5 points of this damage is Fire, in case it has resistance, immunity, or weakness. I ignore 20 points of Fire Resistance (and reduce Immunity to Resist 10, effectively).

The dragon needs to make a DC 37 Fort save or die, its body (but not equipment, if any) reduced to ash and leaving no trace. If it succeeds, it instead takes 50 extra damage.

Cha'Tima fires first, seemingly even before the rest of you spot the great reptile. The arrow flies true, striking the beast right in the breast. You wait with anticipation the span of a few breaths, but the mighty creature does not burn! However, the challenge that it roars indicates that it was injured by the attack.

The Warlord is next, three shots flying from his sling. The first hits the dragon in the head, the second and third shots bouncing off its scaled body.

Doppel is next, moving to engage the dragon. As he comes in close, he suffers an attack by the lizard, which catches him in the left shoulder. (Doppel takes 48 points of damage.) Still, two of his swings connect, tearing away scales and flesh. The dragon roars again in pain.

Amarilis moves in, also slamming an attack home against the beast. The dragon howls again, but attacks Doppel with its bite. (Doppel takes another 46 points of damage.) Amarilis is quick to shout, "Not on my watch!" as she slams another blow into the great beast. The dragon screams in rage and pain and slashes at Amarilis with its claws. Based on the previous round, I guess Amarilis hit 7 of her 9 attacks, confirming one of the crits, for a total of 429 damage.

If the dragon attacks Doppel:

Attack (wolf's fang), greater rage, inspire courage, mythic heroism, power attack: 1d20 + 34 + 5 + 4 + 4 - 6 ⇒ (11) + 34 + 5 + 4 + 4 - 6 = 52

Round 1, Initiative 10

Cathryn stares at the dragon for a second, eyes lighting up with fire. She levels Sacred Avenger before charging the Dragon herself, rushing through the air in quiet fury.
Full-Found Action, Charge of the Battle Cat
Charge of the Battle Cat w/ Mythic Power Attack: 1d20 + 36 - 6 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 36 - 6 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 2 = 63
Damage: 1d8 + 21 + 27 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 4d6 + 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 21 + 27 + 4 + 5 + 5 + (4, 4, 5, 1) + (4) + (2, 4) = 90
Technically the Charge also requires a DC 24 Reflex Save to avoid being knocked prone... Don't think Dragons can be knocked prone, at least not in mid-flight, but just in the off chance. The short-description for the maneuver says the movement doesn't provoke any AoO's but the long description doesn't mention it.

Also, first 4d6 is weapon damage, 2nd is Sonic, 3rd is Holy

Charge of the Battle Cat:

Like the charge of the mighty lion as he takes his prey to the ground, the Golden Lion disciple charges into battle, heedless of his enemies, to crash into his chosen foe with a mighty strike, knocking him to the ground at his feet. The initiator makes a charge attack, inflicting an additional 4d6 points of damage.

Additionally, the foe must make a Reflex save (DC 24) or be knocked prone from the strike.

She then let's out a shout "Move!
Swift action using "Circling the Prey", all allies in 60 feet can make a free 5 foot step.

Active Effects:

Mythic Heroism
Golden General's Attitude
Divine Favor
Mass Fly
Inspire Courage

Fire Resistance 20, Negative Energy Resistance 10, 25% chance to negate a negative level, Continuous True Seeing, +4 to save vs. sonic effects.

The Warlord will continue shouting orders, encouragement, and instructions. Letting Inspire Courage go to lingering.

The Warlord will cast a spell targeting the three melee characters:

Haste on Doppel, Cathryn, and Amarilis.

"Tima, Shoot it again!"

Using Decisive Strike as a swift action on Tima to give him a Ranged Attack with +1 to hit and make it bypass all of the dragon's DR.

Amarilis feels magic around her, trying to affect her in some way... she does not know what it is, but she doesn't want it!

Fortitude, superstition: 1d20 + 24 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 24 + 10 = 40

If she saves against Haste, she gains 3 temporary hp.

Dragon miss chance on Doppel.

Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 32 (high bad)
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 99 (high bad)

So only the first attack hits you, Doppel.

Cathryn slams into the dragon with all the force of an arrow striking a target. Her attack slams into the head of the dragon, splintering bone and spraying brain matter over everyone present. The great beast plummets from the sky, the corpse slamming into the bottom of a ravine.

So that's only 39 damage after everything.

Doppel lowers his weapon, disappointment palpable. Apparently he had hoped for more from the dragon.

Stalker 20/Trickster 1|Perception +37, Sense Motive +34| Uncanny Dodge, Blindsight 30 feet| Resist Negative Energy 5, +2 saves vs Death/Neg.Levels/Energy Drain/Necromancy spells and SLAs

Since round 2 never happens, I assume everyone saves their spells?

Tima grunts, impressed with Cathryn.

"Nice work. We should get moving though, before anything else jumps out at us."

"Agreed. Let's head out."

Cathryn watches as the body falls through the air, wiping a small bead of sweat from her bow. Before agreeing with Tima.
"Nicely done everyone, we came out of that surprisingly well. I agree, we should keep moving. Does anyone need any healing before we press on?"
I can LoH's for 72 a pop.

Amarilis calms down and nods at Tima.

"Right, moving on!"

Since Amarilis is using the unchained version, she gains temp hp with the fury, losing them first, so she is not harmed at all.
