Hello everyone! My name is Steve and I am addicted to sports.
Why do they look so confused?
Oops, wrong group.
Hi, my name is Steve and I am addicted to gaming.
[Hiiii Steeeve]
I was just recently invited by Mike to join this PBP group and I just wanted to mention that I am really excited and grateful for the opportunity.
I have been gaming off and on, mostly on, for (34, is it 34? minus 12... or was it 13?) over 20 years now. That isn't to say I know what I am doing, but I get a great deal of enjoyment out of the experience and the story. I am working on soaking in as much information as I can on the boards about the hows and whats of PBP gaming, and I will have a character idea submitted to Mike as soon as possible.
I'm not sure what else to say, or what you might be interested in about me, so fire away if you are curious! I look forward to meeting all of you and having fun with this story. Thanks again for the opportunity!

Just a note for Mike the GM, I have updated my character profile to make it easier to read...
I have finished reading through the gameplay thread, I can't wait to jump in the fray here. You are all great at telling a story, I feel like I have some big expectations to live up to.
*edit* better get used to posting as Mr. Bilgehammer...

Okay, I'll be taking a look to make sure everything checks out and I'll have an intro post up for the two of you soon! Thanks again for joining. And serving House Thrune.....

Just an FYI that I have been terribly ill this past week or so, thus the slowness, but I am at nearly full operating function once again and I'll be posting soon!
Summer break is so close... I'll have so much free time... sooooo much!

Gahh! Glad to hear you are on the mend. Very much looking forward to the adventure!

Friends, thank you for your patience and continued interest. Life has been a whirlwind, one thing after another. I recently started another game and I am going to have to back out of it; this one, however, has been going for nearly a year and I'd like to see it through.
As the game continues I will likely need to make some changes in how I've been running it; the computer I once used to do all of my mapping is no longer functional, and my new computer does not have photoshop. I will need to find an alternate way to do mapping or do away with the grid altogether. I am open to suggestions on this front.

MapTool might be a possibility for drawing stuff. It's was I was going to use for my aborted Ravenloft PbP.
MapTool is free open-source VTT software written in Java. It has basic but effective mapping tools, including a grid overlay. It doesn't have particularly good export capability, but you could draw what you want and then use your computer's built-in screen-capture utility to copy out sections as JPGs. You could then use those JPGs in Google Drive.
GIMP is another possibility if you're having trouble with Photoshop.

I hope not too! I had fun reading everything you guys have done so far, I have really been looking forward to getting started...

Hi everyone. I'm still breathing. Bad news at work (for everyone, not just me!) meant I wasn't able to get this game started back up quite yet. There still seems to be a lot of interest and that is encouraging, so I still plan on finishing up this game. I will get up an intro post for our new characters as soon as I can, by the weekend at the latest, and I can commit to posting once every day or two for a while and then 1+ times per day once my summer starts up.

Thanks for the update, Mike!
I was feeling a little down when I posted the "Are we still alive" comment: the two other PbP's I've been playing in went belly-up in the same week!

My sincerest apologies, everyone. Obviously I was not able to uphold my commitment to get this game started up again. A combination of things have led me to have much less computer time than I used to, and many more things to do during that time. Yesterday was the last day of school, but I'm working summer school starting tomorrow and going through July 17. While I'd love to say "let's do this thing," I only see myself getting more busy this summer rather than less busy. Soon I'll be writing a PFS scenario, teaching, moving, traveling... and then it will be August and school will be back in session. I've even contacted my local friends to put our weekly Mummy's Mask game on hold for a month, because all my weekends are booked...
It saddens me to say, but I doubt I will be able to commit the time necessary to do this game justice. I apologize to those who stuck with the game and stayed committed despite the slow pace, and to those new recruits who never got a chance to get started. It was a simple decision to stop the other PBP commitments I had--this was a much more difficult decision.
That being said, if you (or someone you know) is willing to take up the GM seat, I would be willing to send over my materials and transfer ownership of the forum. I'm pretty sure that's a thing the Paizo tech folks can do...
I'll still be around on the Paizo forums, particularly the RPG Superstar forums when the contest starts up again in the winter. I hope to see all of you, and if I ever find myself able to run or play PBP again I will be sure to get in touch.
Thank you for your understanding, and again, I'm sorry I could not see things through.

I am sad, too, and very sorry :( When I pitched the game I could not have imagined a more awesome group for it.
Will anyone be at PaizoCon this weekend?
