Basically, if I want to run a one-off short module, if I want to test how I work with a group, if I want to do something short and sweet and at least a little bit wierd... it goes here!

All together, by pooling their intellects, it becomes clear, quickly - the creature before them is a unique fiendish plant monster of some sort.

Though essentially akin to a glabrezu, it has much more involved with it than merely that.

Statistics-wise, it is a devil-bound (contract devil)-genie-bound thronefused fungal green warden glabrezu, with a few unique abilities, because, at this point, it doesn't really matter. CR 26, though with relatively low HD for that CR. It has a large number of "contracts" engraved into the throne - you piece together that these are the mephits turned to fiends - and the long, flowing scrolls across its body is its own contract... with, from what you can tell (which, to be fair, isn't much, as it's hard to read from so far away - you'd need close examination to be sure) seems to be with... itself?

And then... Inarus... remembers. He... recognizes... this... demon. More than that, he recognizes all three creatures: Posubaesnes ("the growing corruption" a glabrezu demon seeking to use his abilities for his own gain instead of mortals'), Noztonaniel ("blessed of darkness" a contract devil cursed by a powerful angel he slew, whose contracts always went poorly for both recipient and himself), and "'Shah' Gulzar-Jahangir" (an arrogant efreeti wish-merchant obsessed with plants and his throne, but deeply indebted to various fiends). Inarus Dishadraluongg, the Dragon Knight remembers these - remembers making deals, and contracts with them; remembers their wishcraft becoming etched in his own body's scales, flesh, and shadow - their wishcraft even making such a union possible in the first place, after he had paid much for them to "find ways" to turn that craft to his service -; remembers their duplicity and cunning ways; yet remembers how much they mutually owe each other, and he them, and they him, and how powerful their union was, together.

And now, these three powerful but relatively straight-forward creatures have been... almost fused somehow into a singular being. A singular body. A singular mind. All. That. Power. And then... devoured by some sort of... fungus. Replaced.

Inarus suddenly recognizes the handiwork of an exceptionally powerful wish - series of wishes, actually, probably each conflicting with the other and twisted to nonsensical degrees - gone very, very wrong.

Also, the source of the various creatures that were becoming fiendish.

This plant devoured and replaced some sort of wish-fueled nightmarish fusion of a set of monstrous allies of Inarus Dishadraluongg, from a previous life. Allies that owed Inarus Dishadraluongg much. Very much.

The unbidden rush of emotion, complex and unclear, rushes through the connection between the two heroes, and affects the jewelry at Usawoti's hand as well.

Mope's sheer hope and good will surges back through his master, chasing away whatever darkness just passed through.

"Please. Allow me to offer the generosity of a... host." it says.

"Of course, if you would prefer to be straight to... business..." the creature shudders with anticipated pleasure, "I would be... delighted... to do that, as well."

So: how would we like to proceed?

Intersting! Should be fun! I will handle the ES init and actions (but please ask them to do specific things, if you like), but it'll take a bit to finish some things. I may update tonight, or I may not have the ability. We will see.

Inarus, your turn first, then Usawoti.

They have not. The third round will be the one on which you take your action, now. The most powerful spell is a Strong aura. As a reminder: you need one Kn. (arcana) check for each aura; so far you have made one - it will apply at the beginning of the next round.

Greater Dispel Magic - as per targetted dispel.

Targeted Dispel: This functions as a targeted dispel magic, but it can dispel one spell for every four caster levels you possess, starting with the highest level spells and proceeding to lower level spells.

Ideally I'd like to strip FOM, but I think since I didn't get a chance spellcraft it, it probably won't happen - as per

You can also use a targeted dispel to specifically end one spell affecting the target or one spell affecting an area (such as a wall of fire). You must name the specific spell effect to be targeted in this way. If your caster level check is equal to or higher than the DC of that spell, it ends. No other spells or effects on the target are dispelled if your check is not high enough to end the targeted effect.

Dispel check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

Otherwise, apply the following:

Targeted Dispel: One object, creature, or spell is the target of the dispel magic spell. You make one dispel check (1d20 + your caster level) and compare that to the spell with highest caster level (DC = 11 + the spell’s caster level). If successful, that spell ends. If not, compare the same result to the spell with the next highest caster level. Repeat this process until you have dispelled one spell affecting the target, or you have failed to dispel every spell.

But probably with that, it didn't work anyways.

It blinks.

Then, "Or perhaps, you'd just like to speak your minds more plainly?" it says, suddenly snapping to some semblance of "normal" (though that concept could only loosely apply, at best, to this thing).

There is a brief pause, before it continues, "Indeed, we could philosophically discuss the merits of pain and suffering and what, exactly, counts, and who, and for whom and what purpose. After all, what living thing does not feed on death? And what is death if not suffering? And what is suffering if not a facet of life itself? Is thus not all life abominable? Should it not be extinguished? Or does it all serve some greater purpose in the whole? And if so: what is that purpose?"

As it does so, Inarus pours over the scribbles. It seems that they are contracts of a sort with various creatures, akin to the contracts with devils of the same name.

As Inarus plumbs the depths of his mind, he... understands. Rather, Dishadraluongg remembers. This was always "the plan" - find a way in, find a way to claim power over the whole - one bit at a time, if necessary - and then become an actual god, or close enough to it that it doesn't matter.

He recognizes the elementals, now. Not because he ever knew them, but because he understands the thing's plan - or at least the plan insomuch as the fiends it had to devour to become itself had.

The elementals are bound by contracts they entered. The "why" isn't important - they probably were enticed into it by circumstances, likely set up by the fiends and/or the plant monstrosity itself. Regardless, their contracts were ill-chosen and made with short-sighted or weak-willed reasons and intents.

Destroying contracts destroys his claim over a layer - but that is nearly impossible without destroying the creature itself. Forging a new contract and using it against him allows great potential - but potential danger.

Indeed, from your guess, it could be defeated with a properly worded wish and willpower, but you'd have to push more willpower than it, and you'd have to shove at more than a few of the wildmagic "strings" it has lingering around... and who knows with that stuff. You could erase - either by spell or claw - various contracts, but it looks like that'd be pretty hard to do (not impossible, but hard) without defeating the creature itself, considering it likely has several magic-contingent wards (and you'd need to touch it); and it's a really hard surface well-protected by potentially-devastating attacks. The contracts likely bring it a sort of power, but are a manner to gain power from it. The creature likely gains influence over a given level the more living creatures from a given level (dead are also valuable, but living are more-so) it holds contracts with. A curious quirk that such creature's power is devoted to this specific realm. It must have come into existence here, then. You are uncertain whether or not it is trying to "snag" you or it's just insane. New Sense Motive checks would be needed for that.

The world turns to darkness.

Strange flora begin to explode throughout and across the hall, forward and backward, running the length of everything you can see, and choking off all vision, as the world turns to darkness, swallowing all light. The vegetation doesn't stop, as it floods - and continues to flood - across your bodies, tangling and intrusive, grasping and demanding, binding and everywhere.\

Anarchy explodes across reality, as sounds accompanying no visible events play out, and people generally find themselves unable to tell what is truly happening.

The smells slam into Usawoti in lieu of sight. He feels Inarus solidify under him, and feels a sudden explosion of heat as fury washes over and through him.

And suddenly, the connection with Inarus is gone. It's like his friend is suddenly just... not there.

Inarus:
Inarus recognizes the wrath for what it is, and feels it run across him, even as he feels his second new body twisting and becoming... other. Its already bizarre elements twist and shift and become... something new. Something other.

His body stretches out, becoming... flat.

Becoming... a script.

Inarus has become himself, in a fundamental way: his new form is a series of mobile, connected runes declaring himself Inarus and wrath and fire and gluttony and air and half-orc and dragon and demon and plant and magic and flesh.

... and eternal.

The script races away from the assaulting elementals, wrapping around his newly petrified draconic body, inscribing himself into the statue, and reaching deep into his own magics, whipping himself, his friends, and Eternal Seeds - as well as all mephits who would desire to do so, and you shift yourselves out and across and up, and enter into the previous level of safety:

... and suddenly you are at the hole that lead to the lower "hell" - and this time, the billowing smoke isn't, and all is pleasant and growing and green, even as living things choke the hole below you, but are slowly transformed by the very mists seeping down into them.

From below Usawoti, he feels several presences... drip. The pool out, and coalesce, spiteful, hateful, cruel, and hungry.

Usawoti realizes his friend seems to be a statue.

Quiet-Gazer is in a mild panic, urging you with emotions, strongly trying to warn you about how dangerous this is.

You see a horned blue-skinned sensually-shaped female covered with sores; a two-legged dragon ringed in frost and fury; a green one with a long thorny spike tail, two black-silken-robed and veiled monstrosities, each licking the air with triplicate; what can only be described as a "moon flower" twitching on the ground; and a hazy nightmare too terrible to contemplate; all beneath a giant tree that grows to quickly fill the passage with its noose-like branches. All of them are cloudy, on fire, and clearly starving and furious. Also, dead. That... doesn't seem to stop them from twitching and flopping about, demanding to eat you.

Roll initiative What do you do, my friend (you go first in initiative). They are currently affected by your hampering hex: they have 10 rounds remaining on the debuff. They are also currently prone (except, I suppose, for the tree). They have 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 1 = 5 rounds before they are no longer dazed.

Inarus:
You will soon, hopefully, get control of "your" stone body - within 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 rounds, to be precise. You still have your telepathy, but currently are dazed and a little uncertain as to where you are; also unable to take any actions in this first round. Once that occurs, treat it as a standard huge animated object. We will discuss your ability to change forms - and how to accomplish that - after the combat!

'Looks like were not getting out without a fight.' Usawati realizing a fight seems to be imminent, casts Righteous might. As he enlarges he tells the assembled deviants or are they a disassembled deviant? "You still have the chance to leave, this is your final warning."

Usawoti's warning falls on dazed ears, as more things continue to spew from the dragon, one a new arrivals a fourth dragon-like creature itself.

Welp, you've three more rounds, now, of them being dazed. They are on the floor below you (you still being astride an Inarus spewing the things out onto the floor below you). There are now: four dragon-like creatures, three fiend-like creatures (four if you count the hazy creature of pure Usawoti's horror), <-creature in parenthesis, two plants, three dragon-like creatures, and nearly a hundred fifty orbs-with-gnashing-teeth (note: all still dazed). And the number is growing by the round.

Inarus:
After Usawoti makes his next action, and I confirm it/respond to it, Inarus will be able to act. If you wish to animate your statue form, it will be a full-round action (plus full Concentration) to do so; after it is animated, you will have full control of your faculties and may "run" the animated body as if it were your own - treat it as a huge animated object with your full natural attacks (bite, 2 claws, gore, tail slap) but no slam, augmented critical, faster, resistance (all), and is wearing your armor (at the reduced effectiveness, as it was for you). It has the clunky drawback for the first round, but loses that immediately upon its second round. It can be animated for up to 36 rounds in a row, at this time.

Alternatively, and, as just as much a valid option, you could try to go "somewhere else" on the battlefield, and/or use your SLAs, and/or physical attacks. For now, if you make physical attacks, presume that it's the same as your dragon full attack. Any action you take except movement and telepathy or animating your body, however, will have either a 70% failure rate for the first attempt (if physical) or a 50% failure rate for the first attempt (if magical or mental), with a decrease in failure chance by 5% for each attempt thereafter (so 75% on your first melee attack, 65% on your second in that round, 60% on your third, and so on; round 2 picks up with where you left off, so ~50% failure on your first attack, 45% on your second, and so on). Generally speaking, presume to have access to your class abilities, spells, and SLAs, but otherwise probably not, at present (so, for example, no breath weapons, sound imitation, or other abilities).

Effectively, the initiative is:
- Usawoti

- GM

- Inarus: attempt full-round action (+) full concentration, or[i] talking/telepathy-and-moving-and-trying-to-attack, [i]or something else

- Usawoti

- GM

- Inarus: gets to probably start doing lots of actual stuff with stuff? I'unno, you surprise me often, so this might just be clean-up. :)

Also, I... wouldn't worry about where things are headed. You may soon get back to being the old new you... ;)

Hope that helps!

NEW THIS ROUND:
Other (new) green dragon-like: jungle drake
Dark dragon-like: shadow drake
Shadowy figure: shadow

All of these have the following templates: juju zombie (even the incorporeal creatures; the incorporeal creatures lose the typical immunity to magic missile, however), drunk, ravenous, enraged, and lesser variants of the smoke creature and flame creature; and are under an effect similar to a continuous (no limited duration) barbarian rage (no rage powers, but other effects assume their CR = their effective barbarian level). They also have a variant of the young simple template which does not reduce their size, but otherwise negatively affects them.

This basically makes them all nearly-mindless (even though relatively intelligent and tough) killing- and eating-machines.

You're reasonably sure these are the embodiments of all the contracts, sins, and corruptions that you - the ex-plant you - used to have before the other-you (the dragon) had uttered its wish. These monstrosities are literally all that evil congealed into material form.

One more question: we are now fighting "Sin" and Usawoti will be using his Holy Hammer. By definition is "Sin" evil or just immoral, unethical and antisocial??? :-)

Edit: I mean gluttony, it's unhealthy but is it truly evil? And anger, there is a quote that says "Be angry and sin not." so if you can be angry without sinning...

'Excellent, Dragon Inarus is moving! I may as well hit something.' Leaning to his left as Inarus attacks the new incarnation, Usawoti swings his hammer at pustule filled female.

since Inarus is the one doing the moving is this a full attack for Usawoti or a movement and attack? If it isn't a full attack please ignore the second attack

full Attack: + 1 Holy flaming earth breaker
attack: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (9) + 21 = 30 for damage: 3d6 + 23 + 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1) + 23 + (4) + (2, 6) = 41
attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29 for damage: 3d6 + 23 + 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3) + 23 + (1) + (3, 5) = 40

You know, that's a good question. I think it's considered that you take a "move" action to "ride" whatever "mount" you happen to be on, lacking something like Pounce - hence the functionality of RageLancePounce - so it would only be the first attack. Doesn't matter, though, because...

Usawoti's hammer connects with and explodes the undead fiend's head, causing the corpse to shatter into ashes and compressed malice.

The remaining creatures surge forward, their fury and rage thrusting them forward in pure hatred, finally overcoming the dazedness of their creation!

They begin swarming the two of you, clawing at the stone dragon and trying to grasp and pull down an enlarged Usawoti into their ravening horde.

Due to exceptionally poor rolls on my part - no damage this round!

did any of them move enough to give up an AOO or three?
please delay Usawoti's attack after Inarus' I went ahead and rolled cause I'm headed to bed.
'Well, here they come. "Are we Going to stand here and let them hit us or are we running? Can you tell how Eternal Seed is doing?" Not taking the time to speak Usawoti communicates with friend dragon Inarus telepathically while he screams and whacks away at any evil undead left standing after Inarus' attack. 'Aaarrrrrggghhhh!"

Usawoti will attack the largest threat remaining after Inarus' attack. If were staying in place please use both, if Inarus is moving use just the first, and feel free to roll for any AOO's the undead horde may give up...

Full Attack: + 1 Holy flaming earth breaker
attack: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (20) + 22 = 42 for damage: 3d6 + 23 + 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) + 23 + (2) + (5, 6) = 50
attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (18) + 17 = 35 for damage: 3d6 + 23 + 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1) + 23 + (3) + (2, 5) = 38
confirm drit: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (4) + 22 = 26 for damage: 6d6 + 46 + 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 3, 5, 6) + 46 + (1, 2, 2, 1) = 76 does the holy count on the crit? I didn't think the fire did
