female Human Rogue 4

Just realised I should have done 1 more damage to Nik and Oleg thanks to Res.

Angalia laughs as Oleg hits her and she feels something break inside.

Female Human (Gypsy) Dreamspun Sorceress 4

"Now is not the time sweets" Tif mutters to Nate, her eyes turn towards the Strongman this time as she repeats the spell that lay poor Nik low.

Sleep, Lullaby bloodline power imparts a -4 to the Will Save, DC14.

Angalia: noted.

Oleg's save 1d20 ⇒ 15.

Oleg manages to resist Tiffana's spell, potent though it may be. In his barbarian's rage, it is difficult to convince him to sleep.

Update coming later.

Again, the rings on the floor shift, as if in rhythm with the wild organ music.

Nathaniel shakes his head, the haze and strange images that had been filling it vanishing like morning mist. Hefting his axe, he jogs towards the strongman.

Move to N9 and attack Oleg with battleaxe. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7. I have factored ‘human’ favoured enemy bonuses into these rolls, if Oleg is not human please subtract 2 from to hit and damage rolls.

Edit, not that it will matter with that roll ...

Will delay to see if I can set up a flank with anyone.

Eliva moved into the center of the room and glared at the dancing women. "Erastil judges those that destroy the harmony of a community! I am here to make sure you can not continue this evil!" she growled as she called Erastil's judgement of destruction down on them. She drew her bowstring back again, ready to strike the first woman that attempted to cast a spell on her or her friends.

Eliva moves to O8 and readies an action to shoot the first of the two women that attempts to cast a spell.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 - 1 = 22 (point blank shot and curse)
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7 (+2 from destruction judgement, +1 from point blank shot)

Erfan cackles, waiving his hands about and finally unleashing another pair of missiles at the strongman.

Magic missile. 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 2 = 7

Chuckling to himself, Erfan draws his spear and waves it menacingly.

Partial defense as a move action, +2 AC.

female Human Rogue 4

Will move to M9 and hope Urdin provides a flank.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 - that's -2 if he doesn't.
Unlikely to hit, but just in case it does,
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 damage
2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 SA if flanking and if it hits at all.

Playing for Urdrin.

Urdrin moves to set up a flank. He swings at Oleg with his axe. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

The strike is vicious, and Oleg goes down with a heavy thud.

Angalia, it occurred to me that if you are looking for a sneak attack, you could go for Zaria. She is stunned and therefore loses her Dex bonus to AC (the PF equivalent of granting combat advantage in 4e).

Res and Nathaniel, as if in tandem, succeed in finally silencing the twins. They fall to the ground, but still the automated contraptions of the chamber play on in mock festivity. The rings on the floor continue their rotations; the organ never ceases its wild playing. Again, a shrill laughter peals through the chamber.

Male Human Ranger (Skirmisher) 6; AC 21; touch 13; ff 18. HP: 59/59. Fort +6; Ref +8; Will +6

Is there any obvious way up to the organ?

EDIT: N/m, I re-read the description, there is a ladder.

Male Human Ranger (Skirmisher) 6; AC 21; touch 13; ff 18. HP: 59/59. Fort +6; Ref +8; Will +6

Nathaniel stands panting, the twin’s blood dripping from his axe. A tear comes unbidden to his eye as he stares down at the conjoined women, both beautiful and horrific in death. After a moment he steps off the rotating ring and stands for a moment, dizzy from the spinning floor, the maddening strains of the organ and the shrill laughter.

If we are still on init, Nath takes no action next round other than a five foot step, as he mentally recovers from the battle.

female Human Rogue 4

Unable to help herself and filled with self-loathing, Angalia finds herself pointing at the bodies and laughing hysterically. The music pounds through her brain.

Male Human Ranger (Skirmisher) 6; AC 21; touch 13; ff 18. HP: 59/59. Fort +6; Ref +8; Will +6

It is Angalia's hysterical laugh, and the horror behind it that shakes Nath back into action. Looking about, he spies a ladder that appears to lead up to the organ loft.

We're out of initiative.

Female Half Orc Inquisitor 5 {HP:28/30}

As Eliva climbs the ladder, the organ begins to play. She can clearly see that the organ loft is uninhabited. While the organ playing is eerie, nothing changes as she approaches the instrument.

While the ladies examine the organ, Nathaniel gazes slowly around the room, waiting for another peal of the manic laughter, trying to determine its point of origin. His gaze rests for a moment on the door in the other corner of the room.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 (further +2 vs humans for the laughter if applicable).

Female Half Orc Inquisitor 5 {HP:28/30}

Eliva mutters a quick prayer for insight to Erastil and looks around for magical auras in the organ loft.

Casts Detect Magic

Male Human Cleric/6 {HP:49/49, AC 16 (11 touch)

While the others investigate the organ loft and the room, he begins the grim task of searching the bodies for keys, papers or other clues to the mysterious laughing plaque. Also, if he finds any other useful items such as potions, weapons or armor he retrieves those items as well. perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

Between Angalia's investigations and Eliva's detect magic, you are able to uncover a great deal about the organ. No mechanical system causes it to play itself; the instrument is enchanted. It's a very large, very heavy magic item. It's activation is astoundingly simple: there is a switch to turn it on and off. Between the two of you, you are able to ascertain its effect, which is rather banal for such an elaborate instrument.

The instrument increases the save DC of any bardic music abilities employed by those within listening distance by 1. It might be worth some money, but it weighs several thousand pounds and is anchored to the floor.

For those investigating the laughter, roll a Will save.

If you roll greater than 14 on the save:
The laughter is an illusion.

Searching the room, Res finds:

Oleg and Nik have mundane gear only.
Zorya has a ring and a scroll, while Zaria has an amulet, a potion, and a set of keys.
Unfortunately, he does not find any letters or other particularly revealing items.

Detect Magic on gear:

Ring of Protection +1
Amulet of Natural Armor +1
Scroll of remove fear
Potion of Cure Light Wounds
The keys are just keys, but who doesn't love keys?
