Sorry, tried to do a re-cap post. But I cannot find/remember the info on the Necromancer that's found the skull in the swamp & is thinking of selling it to Tetsulin/Gilbraith. Which I believe we wish to stop?

Here is what you know from Dr. Savarre:

Dr. Savarre wrote:
"The land of Souraigne is a vast, festering swamp with many secrets. Most civilized folk live outside the swamp, but there are some forsaken communities within it. It was within one of those communities that the skull was discovered. It was promptly seized by a necromancer known as Monerre. Many learned men with whom I correspond were interested in this item, and disappointed to see where it now resides. Monerre has taken residence in a necropolis on a island within that swamp where, presumably, he studies the relic's power. If this Gilbraith is nearly in possession of the skull, then he must have traveled to Souraigne himself."

link

You believe, based on Tiffana's visions (which haven't led you wrong so far) that Gilbraith is seeking out the artifacts related to the Grey Gates on Tetslin's behalf. The vision was that Gilbraith was on the trail of this one in particular. You were hoping to beat him to it and take possession of the Skull by whatever means necessary to keep it out of Tetslin's hands, since whatever he wants with it cannot be good.

Also, apologies that the hiatus was longer than I intended. I had travel woes, which forced me to combine two separate trips into one, since I was unable to head back north due to inclement weather.

34/34HP , AC17

That's fine, the holidays combined with the terrible weather in the US. Thanks for the information, I couldn't find it.

So everyone, sounds like we need to find out what we can about Monerre and then storm the Necropolis - and wrest the skull from Monerre's hands. Especially since he'd be unlikely to sell it to us, especially if we are in his new powerbase. (We can discuss this in IC)

It's interesting to note that the pitiful city of Port d'Elhour became considerably more lycanthrope-infested when you lot came to town ;)

Oh man, just our luck!

Ho ho, that is harsh.

Human

Hi all :)

I'm edging back into circulation.

Did Angalia die somewhere along the line or could she re-join you all if you're willing? No pressure and certainly no rush. If things have moved too far ahead, I'll completely understand.

Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

Angalia is still living :) They left her behind to look after Nathaniel (who was stricken with ghoul fever), Tiffana (who is overcome with anxiety due to her uncontrollable and upsetting visions), and Erfan (who went completely insane). Urfan is with you too :) The entire lot of retired PCs were left with the Sisters of Charity in Richemulot. We can look at working Angalia back into the mix in the near future. Let me think about how best to accomplish that.

Welcome back Rev! I look forward to seeing Angalia return.

Human

Angalia's not really a natural healer, so getting her out of there might be a good idea before she joins the ranks of the permanently dislocated.

What level are you all at now? It's going to take a while to sort her out :)

Shadow Lodge

Male Husband/10 Dad/10 Gamer/5 RPGer/2

We are level 5 and Angalia is level 4.

Human

Ah, thanks for that Tordek. I'll get on with leveling her up.

Hooray! Welcome back, Rev.

The Exchange

Good news Rev. Hope everything is good with you and look forward having you back.

Cheers

Human

Thanks all :)

Things are much better. I'm doing a PGCE (Post Grad Certificate in Education) and focusing on adult literacy and offender learning. That finishes late May and hopefully work will happen as a result.

I would love having Angalia back. Reuniting her with the party is going to take some suspension of disbelief, but then we are used to that with PbPs.

In this case, the party made incredible haste to depart Richemulot and sprinted headlong through the Mists (guided by knowledgeable Vistani) to reach Souraigne.

In terms of Angalia catching up to the rest of them, we can probably come up with something vaguely plausible, if relying on a remarkable dose of coincidence and good fortune.

You can level to 5. In the next few days I will PM you with my thoughts on bringing you back in, although if any other players have an epiphany, feel free :)

Also, you may notice that the pace has slowed. These days, my posting time is more limited than it used to be. I like running the game, but I do not update it at anywhere near the rate I used to.

Celestial! Lovely to see you again and thank you so much for taking Angalia back.

The pace isn't an issue - it's longevity that matters. Words which can apply in oh-so-many contexts.

female Human Rogue 4

I think she's sorted. Still find Pathfinder ridiculously confusing, but voila. Level 5.

Shadow Lodge

One suggestion for having Angalia rejoin us.

Rev and CH:
Probably lame, but here it goes. Dr. Savarre may have uncovered some critical information for our group. Unwilling to trust a normal messenger with this information he goes the Sr Claudette to decide how to notify us. Knowing that Nathaniel, Tiffana, and Urfan are under good care, Angalia volunteers to take the message to us. Dr. Savarre arranges a guide to take her and tells her the inn we are most likely to be at.

Tordek, that is what I was leaning toward myself.

Human

Tordek - was going along similar lines myself. It makes sense.

34/34HP , AC17

So potions, how about:
1st Level Cleric

  • Air Bubble (breathe underwater)

  • Sanctify Corpse
  • Weapons Against Evil (Ignore DR/5 or less) though this is from Faith's of Purity.
    2nd Level Cleric
  • Bull's Strength
  • Not sure we need any CLW since we have 2-3 wands already.

And remember we have those items that we previously found, that didn't get shared out...

  • 34/34HP , AC17

    So any thoughts on potions?

Plus is there a party pool? Since Tybalt has 110gp so cannot afford all that much.

    Male Human Magus 6 AC21/T16/F15, Hits 50/50, Init +6, F+8, R+7(+9), W+6; Perception +0, Arcane Pool 6/6

I haven't noticed a party pool so far. Treasure has been rare. Remember the garlic, wolvesbane etc if she has some tucked away.

Can we get invisibility vs undead potions? I'll check Andrzej for funds.

EDIT: 60gp here. So Andrzej could toss that into the collective pot, he doesn't need it.

Res can add Hide from Undead to his spell list. At CL 5, he can protect 5 of the 6 (soon to be 7) party members with one spell. Also, at 10 minutes/level that will last 50 minutes. He'll just prepare at least two spells to cover everybody.

Also, Res only has 66 gold to contribute.

As far as scrolls that Res has currently they are:
    Calm Emotions
    Delay Poison
    Remove blindness/deafness
    Remove disease
    Remove Fear
    Lesser Restoration
    Speak with Dead (2)

Also a wand of divine favor (23 charges) plus someone has Andrzej's CLW wand, can't remember if its Eliva or I?

For a second level potion, how about Gentle Repose in case someone dies and we want to preserve them until we can find help?

    Male Human (Taldan) Paladin 6(2neg): Init -2, Perception-2, F+11, R+6, W+9; HP 42/54 {CPE 2/4 3D6; LoH 4/8, 3d6; smite, 0/2; divine armor 0/1}

I have these notes for Leandro under 'pending loot division':

A masterwork flute made of gold. The instrument is worth easily 500 gp.
    A masterwork longsword (315 gp)
A headband of alluring charisma +2 (4000 gp)
A set of bracers of the glib entertainer (7900 gp)
    A pouch containing 180 gp. (180 gp)

    He personally has 102 gp.

    Silver Crusade

Male Celestial Cleric of Myself 10/Radiant Servant of Me 10

Thanks, Leandro! I knew there was treasure floating around somewhere.

Port d'Elhour is a big enough city to sell anything you lot might be hanging onto.

If you need to retcon and say "When we came to town, we totally sold that widget we found", I am okay with that.

    34/34HP , AC17

I believe there was also a Verdant Bracelet somewhere? Unless someone took that.

Then the headband really should be used? Either to help Res with his channels, Leandro with extra saves/ lay-on-hands, or Tybalt with whatever - or whomever else wants it.

But we really shouldn't have it hanging around when it could be the difference between life and death.

    Shadow Lodge

    Male Husband/10 Dad/10 Gamer/5 RPGer/2

Thank goodness for thread searches. I couldn't remember why no one was already using the headband of alluring charisma. It's because it was Tiffana's. Assuming she doesn't need it at the moment, I think Res can use it in case we go against some undead. More channels and higher DC for the win. Ok with everyone else?

As far as the Verdant Bracelet. That is not something that Res, in character, would use.

    Male Human Magus 6 AC21/T16/F15, Hits 50/50, Init +6, F+8, R+7(+9), W+6; Perception +0, Arcane Pool 6/6

So Tybalt gets the bracers of glib entertainer (+5 perform)?

    34/34HP , AC17

Yep, that works. Although I believe it doesn't stack with the Versatile Performance ability.

Family stuff aside the high point was doing over 500 points of damage (over the course of a long fight) to a gnome barbarian, taking him eventually to -24 and seeing him survive!

It's good to be back. Been a harsh year in some ways but things are looking up a lot now. Offender learning knocks many coloured spots off teaching in schools or theatres. Much better discipline and much smaller classes to name only two benefits.

Hey, guys, sorry for the ridiculously long hiatus! I'm catching up, and didn't see anything about the potions chosen? Did I miss those?

    34/34HP , AC17

Nope. We haven't chosen any potions or really sold any of the above loot, to get us the coin for them.

    I made a few suggestions.

    34/34HP , AC17

So if we sell the Masterwork Long Sword + the gold, we have 342.5gp

Then we can by a potion of Remove Sickness, Air Bubble, Sanctify Corpse ?

I may have to go slightly incommunicado for a few days. My PGCE is coming to an end and I have to finish up a couple of essays, write a reflective diary, do one more observation and attend an induction at the local nick where I'm going to be teaching offenders the errors of their grammatical ways. It should not make too much difference, but just to warn you in case I vanish.
