Alabaster Cain |
Ok guys. So now, right after thanksgiving, I'm dealing with a divorce. I'm going to try and keep my posting rate up to normal starting tomorrow. Sorry for the absence.
Alabaster Cain |
I'll be back to regular posting tomorrow guys. Thanks for understanding.
Edward Irmington |
What can i say.....it was too tempting not to. ^_^
Granted, i couldn't come up with something a grindylow could laugh about.
Besides, he's a bard raised in Riddleport amongst sailors and brothels.

Will post this afternoon. Need to look up some spells.
Also, a question: would area effect spells affect Alabaster inside the big dude?

I may have to go down there and channel, and just heal all of them and give giffer and sandara a chance.

Good idea, won't affect the ghouls.
Although my channel may ... aquatic subtype doesn't distinguish between undead or not. Hmmmm...

It is indeed a nailbiter...interesting predicament. I'm kind of excited this happened, actually, only because when my RL group went through this they prioritized freeing Sandara and (in their case) Rosie over killing their foes...which did result in an escape and a lot more damage to them! But this is a nerve-wracking, bad situation!
However, it's not impossible...Jesal, I think your channel should be able to affect them. ;) And Arhiel, you'd need to make a Strength or Escape Artist check to break out of the weeds...either way, 7 won't cut it. :P
Waiting on Jesal's action and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, if you celebrate! :D
Isaac Silvermane |
Jesal, I just had a thought. You have the air bubble spell, right? I was looking at your alias to see if you had cure light wounds and I saw it. That may be our saving grace if you can cast it.
Then, again, I'm sure you were already planning on that.
Man, this is a really close one, guys. I'm actually feeling the tension.
The Norv |
I felt the tension too, and I'm thrilled that everyone pulled together to pull of that rescue! Really great playing there, roleplaying and tactically, from all. :D
The combat is over now (well, this one, anyway), and there's a few minutes to rest, catch up, and review the plunder. There's a lot of it in this room--enough that I spoilered it--but I can reproduce the list here if you'd like to discuss it in more detail.
Arhiel |
Happy new year, everyone!

I believe Sandara's holy symbol was found on the Man's Promise just after she disappeared. As for the rest of her and Giffer's gear, I should've mentioned it earlier, but I wasn't thinking of it as "loot"--it's scattered around the periphery and the bottom of the chamber, waterlogged but otherwise fine.
Looks like the consensus is to head out of here!

I do think we should finish exploring these caves, though. Don't need any grindylow chasing us down for vegeance.

So, since Jesal's was the only opinion I really heard on that subject--unless someone said something that I missed in Gameplay--I've moved us on toward the north!
A little late, but sorry for not putting up another idea. I had completely forgotten to put one out.
Alabaster Cain |
So, I'm sorry for the absence the last few days. I just found out I have a tiny gamer on the way and I've been dealing with the appointments and all. On top of that, I've been in NC and the weather is balls. I'm catching everything up now.
Arhiel |
congrats on the impending arrival...
Isaac Silvermane |
So, I'm working on leveling up Isaac. I'm not sure which rogue talent to take. I was originally thinking about resiliency. But, then again, there's black market connections and firearm training. But, one that really caught my attention was one I could get by taking combat training. It's a newer combat feat called Aquatic Combatant. It gives me a further +2 bonus on Swim checks, makes it so that I don't take penalties on melee attack rolls made underwater, and my slashing melee attacks and unarmed bludgeoning attacks deal full damage underwater. That is a big one, especially for this campaign.
I might just take Aquatic Combatant, but I'd like to get everyone's thoughts.
EDIT: I think I'm going to go ahead and take Aquatic Combatant. Might be best for what's to come.

Hey, Norv. I'm unsure as to what Zuld said since there's no translation and putting it into google translate doesn't work for some reason.
Edward Irmington |
Did you use the auto-detect language?
That aside....you're shoving quite the angle onto me GM.
Any self respecting captain needs to be capable in combat and able of physical feats.
Given the experience the dicebot gave me, i wonder how much of a captain Edward would make.
The suave charismatic type, but physical.....Isaac is better in that department.
.....though captain Edward has a stylish ring to it.....
