moving on but feel free to RP some more.

The song continues for some time longer. Eventually the crew breaks up in good spirits and returns to work. Joan Follows the Captain to her cabin. Elenia returns to the cargo hold. Salty and Toby move down to the galley to prepare the evening meal. This leaves Mirandir, Nayli and Morven on the deck with Ms Avalon.

The Master of sail Call out from the bridge. "Mr Waverider, please take the helm." As Mirandir takes the wheel the Half Elf speaks to him. "Didn't feel like singing with the other crew? hold her steady on this heading." She seems to be expecting an answer but calls out to the deck again "Mr Greigor trim the sails please and Miss Belequa you and Mr Oaks make a start on setting up those ballistae if you would be so kind.

In the captains cabin Joan sets the captains table for dinner whist the Half Orc writes in her logbook. As Joan is finishing the captain speaks "Please summon the other officers for dinner Miss Porter." Her tone is civil and measured.

In the galley Salty and Toby are prepping the evenings meal; Beef Stroganoff with Rice for the officers and a hearty Stew with rice for the crew. Joan arrives Just as the food is ready Toby heads up to the captains cabin with Joan. and salty is left to finish and serve the stew.

Back in the Captains Cabin all the officers are assembled and Joan is expected to server dinner.

Please all make your profession checks. The DC is 15 but 10 is still a pass, you just succeed in doing the bare minimum. I won't allow you to take 10 on this check this time, as you have been given specific instructions and also just because! feel free to describe your success or failure. Finally we will use this check for the rest your watch tonight. (Nayli, Errol failed assisting you Sorry.)

Salty is alone to finish the sailors meal. He tastes a spoon of it, and lets his tongue out.
"It needs something! It needs more salt!"
He then proceeds to improve the food flavor by sprinkling some more salt, and makes an effort to have the stew served at the right temperature to make it immediate edible, while warm for the belly.
"This will make you work harder, sea dogs. Enjoy!"
He smiles at the people reaction to his food.

Mirandir has a look on his face as he approaches the helm. Between the lingering suspicion he had towards the half-breed and having to take the helm so soon, he seemed a bit miffed. Her question didn't help, but Mirandir did his best to deliver a forthright and respectful answer.

"No mam, it didn't feel appropriate at the time." Expecting to have to clarify that statement, Mirandir continued. "I just found it odd mam that none among them was seeking the favor of the gods upon our journey. Since no one else was, I felt the need. I meant no disrespect"

Despite not having handled a ship of anywhere near this size before, Mirandir had little difficulty keeping the ship steady. He seemed heartily content with himself and kept a confident veneer on his face.

Nayli mutters a quiet prayer to Calistria as the song ends, thankful that it's over. As she settles down to figure out the balistae's fastenings, she's unable to suppress first one yawn, then another. Though she tries, it's soon clear even on a casual inspection that Nayli's no siege engineer, and a scowl soon covers her face.

Female Half Elf Wizard/1

Profession Clerk 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Elenia makes a list to inventory all the new supplies efficiently over the course of her watch.

@ All... I will try and get regular posting at least once a day from now.

@ Morven Profession sailor 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
During your watch, you diligently check the sails and the lines, ensuring all are tight. The boat is easy to move around and without rigging, you find yourself able to move around the deck with ease.

@ Mirandir Ms Avalon turns to you and says "A man of faith is more than welcome on my bridge. I commend you for your decision. However, you may find solace not only in a higher power but also in the strength of your ship mates. Think on this."

And with that, Ms Avalon moves off. You get the impression that her words were ernest and well meant, a rare side to her.

The ship is heanier than anything you have sailed before, with the steering movment being from the middle of the ship. You manage to get the hang of it and guide the ship successfully on an even, straight course.

@ Salty The crew thoroughly enjoy the stew you prepared and your nick-name Salty is quickly taken up by the crew as a term of endearment for you.

@ Nayli You and Errol struggle to assemble the ballista. However, neither of you have any engineering experience and you are unable to make any headway other than unpacking everything. When you are relieved from watch at midnight, Mr Gleambright comes over, tuts and shakes his head at you.

@ Joan The Captain looks up at your question regarding the dagger and gives an exasperated sigh, saying "I expect all my crew to perform a variety of duties when necessary. Carrying a knife would be suitable in that event, so yes you may carry a dagger."
She then goes on to say "You come very highly recommended Ms. Porter. I hope that someone of your experience can use their best judgement in these situations." The Captain visibly relaxes, offering something akin to a smile, and says "Whilst your first impression to me was not stellar, I hold no grudges and judge people by the merits of their work, so for heaven's sake, calm down. Its a long voyage ahead of us."

After standing on Mr Gleambright's toes, you offer him an apology which he accepts with good grace and limps off.

At dinner, you serve the food and wine to the officers. Your work is diligent and you catch the Captain giving you a nod of approval halfway through the meal as you keep everyone's glass topped up. The conversation sways to talk of happenings during shore leave, none of which is of interest to you. At the end of the main course, the Captain stands and raises her glass, saying "My friends, a toast. To a safe, speedy and and profitable voyage." To this, all the officers stand and join in the toast.

After dinner, talk turns to the new additions of the crew. Mr Stokes talks about his new clerk, saying she is condescending, smart mouthed and generally unpleasant to be around for long periods of time. However, she has eyes like a hawk when it comes to book keeping and so he respects her for it. Mr Winters talks with passion about Salty's culinary ability, stating he is somewhat quiet in the kitchen but his natural sense for taste and flavour is spot on. The officers laugh at this. As the laughing dies down, Ms Avalon says that she has nothing but respect for Mirandir and cannot see him being an issue on the voyage, unless one of the other crew takes offence to his somewhat aloof nature. Morven on the other hand is Mirandir's polar opposite - seems to be very friendly with the crew. They both have a good work ethic. The Captain is polite enough not to mention anything about Joan in her presence.

@ Elenia You log the equipment to a reasonable standard. Mr Stoke does not sleep but stays in his office, reading. He is content to let you get on with the task. As you sign off at the end of the shift to hand the inventory back, you notice in one of the bookcases by Mr Stokes a large leather bound volume with Eldritch writing on the side of it. You are not fully fluent in the language, but you gather it is some kind of spell book, similar to your own.

In response to the Captain's instructions, Joan nods.

"Yes, m'am."

During the officers' dinner, Joan can't help a slight smirk when Mr. Stokes speaks about Elenia.

When her shift is done, in addition to the leftovers, Joan enjoys a mug of the hot bean drink offered by Salty.

"Hey, thanks, Salty! This is good to warm ya up! Never had anything quite like it. Good stew, too."

When Errol proposes a game of dice, Joan grins.

"I'm in!"

She lets down her hair and removes the neck ruff to relax. When a good moment presents itself, she addresses the old dwarf Brayan.

"Hi, Brayan. I'm Joan, the ship's porter. You've presumably been a ship's carpenter for a good many years, right? How is it you never learned to swim? If you're just lacking a coach, I could certainly help you out when we get to St. Valeros."

Errol picks the dice up and offers them to Salty "Please, be my guest check mine. Its not in my nature to cheat when I have the skill to beat you all fair and square. he shoots you all a grin. "Is 1 silver a good enough bet? I never play for much more but this keeps things interesting. Errol takes a dull Silver piece and places it on the center of the paying area.

Brayan looks at Joan "I've been a carpenter for years. Being on these accursed boats is the only thing that had changed. Times have changed work is hard to come by on land and I like begging just a little less than the open sea. he reaches into his pocket and takes an equally grubby silver piece out, placing it alongside Errol's. "As for swimming it's a fair offer, but Dwarfs were not built for swimming just as Elves were not built for mining and humans were not built for dice games.

Those who are playing let me know and I will roll to see who takes the pot.

The game starts and Errol asks "We now know why old Brayan went to sea but what foul tragedy befell all of you to force you into the hard life of a seafarer?

As Elenia goes to sign out at the end of her shift, she points to the Eldritch looking book. I didn't notice that in the inventory, Mr Stokes. My teacher at Wizard college told me to be on the look out for other wizards in order to learn from them. If you would be willing that is...

"Probably better if I watch this one." Mirandir said in an attempt not to totally blow off his fellow crew members. The human obsession with games of chance was something he didn't understand nor have any particular desire to get involved in. However one of the points of the journey was to learn about other cultures and from what he had heard human mariners liked to engage of these sorts of games.

Learning didn't require participation though.

Errol's query into the reasons each of them were here got a perplexed response from the elf. "I wasn't aware misfortune was a requirement for living one's life at sea. For me it comes naturally, as it does for all my clan. I'm expected to be on a ship, particularly one inhabited by other races."

Morven smiled over the gambling table.

"A fine meal, Salty! What you lack in subtlety you surely make up for in culinary expertise and more! A toast to our new chef, eh lads!"

The Half-Orc was disdainful of the carpenter's pathetic excuses for not having learnt to swim, but was well-mannered enough not to show any sign of it.

"Dice, eh! I've been known to have a few lucky streaks here and there myself! I'll gladly throw a silver in..."

Morven almost snorted into his stew at Errol's words.

"Forced? Tragedy? You poor man, there's no place young Morven would rather be! Aboard the sea and away from the stinking, fetid, putrid tribe that raised him; Morven always finds his home aboard a vessel! Picked up a few tricks here and there too..." Morven said with a tusked smirk, seizing the opportunity to mutter the words to a simple spell and pointing a finger at one of the die. With nothing but the spell he had cast, he gently levitated it into the air then propelling it across the table to roll it, grinning broadly as the dice landed on a 4. An average roll, but such dramatic flair would hardly have been fitting for him to have rolled a 1.

Quite the inquisitive one, this Errol is. I wonder how much I can say.

Sitting at the table, Nayli flips a piece of silver into the pile. She offers a half-smile at the man's question. "Tragedy, no, although I'm not as enthusiastic about this as some of the others. I avenged myself upon a high priestess of my order, and decided the fastest way to avoid her wrath was to disappear. I'm only signed on to the end of the voyage, and then it's off to something else for me." She looks at the dice inquisitively. "So, what's the game then?"

Errol fusses the monkey stoking its chin and offering it a finger full of rice. "The game is Liar's dice. last man, woman or dwarf in takes the pot." Errol hands a set of dice to anyone who lacks their own.

The game begins and the players cast their bets in turn. Elenia loses her dice very quickly and is knocked out after just 6 hands. Errol is out soon after, Salty plays fearlessly but ultimately loses his dice to tactical betting by the others. Joan is clearly very skilled at this game but loses a couple of long hands and is knocked out 4th. Nayli holds on with 1 dice for a long time but eventually is knocked out. That leaves Morven vs Brayan on the last hand Morven plays first with a bold call of 2 2's and beats the elderly dwarf taking the pot.

On the deck, Mirandir takes the helm once again whilst Morven attends to the rigging.

Since she last left it, 2 of the ballistas have been fully assembled to Nayli's relief. 4 more remain to be constructed.

Errol is taken away to assist Morven with the rigging due to the stronger winds. This leaves Nayli and Brayan to fill a couple of holes in the deck with tarred rope.

@ Morven and Mirandir
You are not used to the fully batoned sails and with the wind picking up, you struggle to adjust them in time, causing the ship to lurch from side to side.

Mirandir manages to keep a steady hand on the helm to maintain the course, however the ship rocks uncomfortably.

@Salty
The crew find your meal wholly unpalatable. Most laugh it off, saying things like... I see why they call you Salty , or Did you make this with sea water?
Your earlier efforts with making friends mean they are not too upset but it is noted that most go to work hungry, leaving food on their plates.

@Nayli
Bryan says "The esteemed gnome? Dunno what you mean? He always seems a fairly stand up chap to me. Never afraid to get his hands dirty. I don't think he is hiding anything. Not like the Master of Sail. Rumor is that her and the Captain like a bit too much of each other, if you get my drift? Like to see a bit more of each other than is professionally required. With that, he gives Nayli a friendly nudge and says It's a good job we don't need to dot his quickly. I'm not denying the job you done is good, but I've done 4 planks in the time you done two.

@Elenia
You notice 2 duplicate entries in the log books and correct this. Everything else appears to be above board. You are studying Mr Stokes' office. most of the books in his bookshelf appear to be navigational charts for other regions. Some history books are amongst the shelves as well as the spell book that you discern is definitely a Wizard's spell book. During your shift, Mr Stokes comes in, double checks your figures and asks a couple of questions about stock which you answer promptly, nods in approval and goes to the top deck. As he leaves, he says "I've thought about what you said and if you are looking for some extra knowledge, come and see me when you are not on shift and I may be able to teach you some things. However, come with an open mind. don't presume that you will teach me something I have dedicated most of my life to."

@Joan
You do an adequate job of cleaning the Captain's cabin. Towards the end of the shift, the Captain wakes. She asks you to fetch her her uniform, which you do promptly. She then requests you make up her bed and tidy her desk ready for the next day's sailing.

Your shifts come to an end. The wind is still picking up as you make your way down below decks. The boat begins to rock but not uncomfortably as yet. You eat your evening meal and fill out the rest of the evening talking amongst yourselves and the crew. You all tidy your bunk areas. You go to bed, marking ready for a good sleep, prepared to get up at 12.30am for the next watch.

Sometime whilst you sleep, you are awoken suddenly by the sounds of the ahip's bell ringing and Errol and Brayan shaking you awake. They say that Storm's on the horizon, Cap'n needs all hands on deck.

They dump some waterproof coats and hats on you.

Make ready to rush up on deck.

You make your way up on deck.

When on deck, you can see the storm cloud in the distance, and feel the wind on your faces beginning to pick up. The sails start to flap at the edges with the increasing wind power.

The Captain is standing by the helm barking out orders. She says "Mr Greigor and Mr Waverider, prepare to reef the mains'il. Ms. Belequa, assist Mr Gleambright and his team with clearing down the decks and make safe any loose items. Prepare to batten down the hatches! Mr Oakes, rig the jack lines and make sure everyone on deck has clipped on! Mr Salt, follow Mr Winters and make sure all cooking equipment is stowed away. Ms Caledor, take 4 crew and meet Mr Stokes down in the cargo hold. I need the cargo made secure. Tie those knots tight! Ms Porter, my cabin is secure, however please ensure that the crew quarters are made ready!

You all set about your tasks with haste. The Officers continue to issue orders. Errol comes to you all in turnm with a length of rope and a coiled metal hook on the end. He says:"Tie this round your waist and make sure you clip on the reef lines at all times when on deck.

Whilst undertaking your tasks, the first heavy droplets of rain start to fall, making the deck a bit slippery underfoot.

In the distance, you are alarmed as a fork of lightening shoots out of the sky, hitting the sea and a peal of thunder accompanies the now inky black, heavy rolling waves.

You all finish your jobs, finding time to assist others where needed. Ms Avalon takes the helm and on the Captain's command begins to take the ship in a S=shaped course, attempting to ride the groove of the waves. The look of sheer grim determination as this fairly slight elf wrestles with the ship makes you develop a new found respect for her.

All of a sudden, disaster strikes!

randomised hit:
1d6 ⇒ 2

One of the sheets attached to the head sail comes loose at the sail end due to a slipped knot. The line flicks back into the boat with a twang. It hits Joan across the back causing her 1d6 ⇒ 3 points of non lethal damage and forcing her to make an acrobatics check Reflex save, or fall prone to the deck.

The sudden loss of tension on the sail causes the aft end of the sail to be picked up at the mercy of the wind. In turn, despite her formidable sailing prowess, Ms. Avalon loses control of steering momentarily, and the Lady Sue takes a large wave full abeam on the port side.

Brayan is knocked over board into the swirl before he had a chance to hook on to the reef line.

Captain Loophook shouts to the crew: "Besmara's teeth! Heave-to and get a line out to him.No-one goes overboard and for all the Gods, secure that sail!

You hear Errol shouting from the lower deck "Brayan can't swim!

The Captain retorts Then he will drown, won't he, Mr Oaks? No-one goes overboard. I'm not losing anymore souls!"

Someone trained in it must pass a profession sailor check to secure the sail back to a seaworthy position. Also, Brayan is in the water and will die unless you disobey a direct order from the Captain. I need your character emotions and what their planned actions are. Roll initiative to see who acts first in the event it becomes necessary. Feel free to discuss in discussion thread.

During dinner
Salty growls and shows his tusks to the sailors that complains about his food.

Mirandir briefly considered going in after the dwarf. He was a strong swimmer and had other abilities that would make it easier for him to go in than the average crew member. But the ship was in trouble and he'd do more good on deck ensuring more didn't die. The fact that the captain had given an order made the decision easier. Obeying lawful orders were important and in this case, she wasn't wrong.

Muttering a prayer in a blend of Elven and Aquan for the seas to be merciful, Mirandir turned his attention to helping Morven secure the sail.

Sailor(assist): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Noticing Salty going in after the dwarf was a source of both relief and concern. Now they had a chance to lose two, but at least the Dwarf had a fighting chance.

Assuming that's enough to avoid being knocked prone...?

Joan manages to keep her footing on the deck, despite the lash of the line, and the rush of the wave. Her brow furrows in frustration when she realizes Brayan has washed overboard.

"That poor fool of a dwarf ... not built for swimming, indeed... "

She moves quickly to toss a line out to where Brayan fell into the waves, as the Captain suggested, just in case it helps, and she also makes sure Salty has a line when she realizes he intends to dive in. She warns him...

"Those waves look killer, even for a good swimmer."

Joan herself wouldn't disobey the Captain's order. She figures a storm is certainly no good time for insubordination, and that poor carpenter was foolish not to let himself be taught to swim. It's never easy to lose crew mates, but it's nothing new to Joan. Instead of hurling herself overboard in a foolish rescue attempt, she holds tight to the rail and glances around to see if there is anything else she can help with on deck.

I said Joan tried to toss a line out to Brayan, but I didn't make rolls to pinpoint Brayan's location in the waves or to actually target him with the rope.
If these rolls are good enough, Brayan could just grab on, or Elenia could enchant the rope to coil around him and knot.

Ranged touch attack to target Brayan (or his square) with the rope end: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

EDIT: Hm. I might be able to see him, but I doubt that's enough to get a rope all the way out to him.
Someone else could try another ranged touch attack with another rope.
Joan wouldn't risk her life and/or a flogging by the Captain in an attempt to save the dwarf.
(The ship itself is flogging her plenty without getting the Captain involved!)
However, if a rope was tied around Brayan, or Salty, or Elenia, or whoever, she would certainly help haul them back up on deck!

Nayli is torn. On the one hand, the captain clearly has no idea how to keep a crew's loyalty, but on the other hand, she'd never really learned to swim either, and the sea looks treacherous. She decides to take the middle ground, casting a quick cantrip to help the searchers before looking for another rope to throw.

She then returns to the main deck and ensures she clips onto the reef line, just as Brayan falls overboard.

Elenia prepares herself to jump overboard to save the dwarf who she found endearing to her. She feels her adrenaline spiking at her first real test of adventure! in all her books, she never read of a non-swimmer sailor . With a shake of a head and a mutter to herself, she is about to unclip herself from the reef line, mindful that she will be disobeying a direct order from the Captain, but she thinks Survival of a crew mate comes first! As she is about to jump in, she sees a bulked out, much bigger version of the tusked, half orc cook jumping into the water, as the female human throws a rope close to Brayan.

I will wait for Salty to be next to Brayan before casting animate rope as it only lasts for one round

Quote:
The Captain retorts Then he will drown, won't he, Mr Oaks? No-one goes overboard. I'm not losing anymore souls!"

The words are barely out of the Captain’s mouth when Salty quaffs 2 viscous bottles of liquid. His muscles bulge outwards and he grows in size, giving out a bestial roar. He then commences a loping run towards the stern rail, leaping at the last perceived moment. Unfortunately, he mis-times his jump and catches his trailing foot on the wooden balustrade, resulting in him plunging headfirst into the swirling water and going under. His poor dive leaves him in the wake of the large ship and he flounders for a moment in the undertow.

Realising Brayan is in trouble, Salty galvanises his nerves and makes strong arm pulls towards the surface. Despite his Orcish heritage granting him darkvision, he is thankful for the light that Nayli’s spell provides, as he is better able to orientate himself in the swell.

On deck, Joan hurls a rope out at the drowning dwarf. Her throw is marginally short of Brayan. Had he been a swimmer, he could have easily swam the five or so feet to it, but he continues to panic heedless of the efforts above on deck to save him.
In the water, Salty hits a comfortable stroke, and makes his way towards Brayan, saying through mouthfuls of seawater ”Easy sailor, I’ve got you.” Salty extends a beefy arm around the dwarf and with his free hand, grabs onto the end of the trailing rope.

Back on deck, Elenia steps up beside Joan. Whilst reading aloud from a leather bound tome, she waves her hands in an precise manner, speaking in an intricate language, composing of clicks, exhales and chitters she touches the rope.

The wet rope becomes almost impossible for Salty to maintain a firm grip on. Just as it is about to slip out of his grasp, the rope, as if sentient, coils around both Salty’s and Brayan’s waists, and finished by tying itself in a simple but sturdy reef knot.

Errol shouts a cheer and rushes to the rope, saying ”Don’t just stand there, haul ‘em back in quickly. Elenia, Joan and a couple of free crew begin the strenuous task of assisting Salty’s swim back to the ship. Once close, Salty is guided around to one of the ladders built into the side of the boat. Brayan climbs up first assisted heavily by the deck crew, with Salty following afterwards, requiring less help.

Once back on board, the crew give Salty heart pats on the back, shaking his hands and tousling his hair, offering words of praise. The Captain shouts to the crew ”I don’t know why you’re all cheering. We will all be over unless we get this boat under control and out of irons soon. Mr Salt, I will not forget this act of insubordination, but at this time, take yourself and your shipmate below and get dry.”

Whist all this is happening Mirandir and Morvan get the rogue sail under control lashing it down tight once again. Once the sail is secure Ms Avalon hauls the ship back down a wave and into the groove of the waves once again. The storm continues throughout the rest of the night and shows no sign of abating come the morning...

You are all still on duty gain the fatigued condition.

Salty licks his tusks while looking at the captain...
"I am deeply sorry captain! I didn't hear you order not to save this poor dwarf life. I am partially deaf, you know... I have problems hearing dumb orders."
He takes the dwarf down, and prepares some fresh coffee for the both of them.

As soon as the rope coils and ties around Salty and Brayan, Joan starts hauling them in, working fiercely.

Once they are safely aboard, Joan gives Salty a nod.

"Glad you're alright."

She gives Brayan a pat on the shoulder and a relieved wink.

"So, about those swimming lessons..."

She then goes about helping in whatever way she can.

She takes ten on her Profession (Porter) check for a total of fifteen.

As soon as Elenia finishes casting animate rope, she works with Joan and the other crew members to haul in the rope. She gives Salty a hearty pat on the shoulder , tousles his hair and says Well done - pretty good swimming there, eventually after a poor entry" She turns to Brayan and says Now that your ordeal's over, get dry. You will have to learn to swim soon!

She remains on deck and seeks out Mr Stokes and asks what he would have her do next. she tells him she will take up his offer re. Wizard help when the storm is over!

Mirandir goes out of his way not to make eye contact with Salty as he makes his way below. Instead he keeps focused on his duties and watches for any more loose sails or knots. He didn't want to risk having to say anything. Deep down the Elf knew he could have and perhaps even should have saved the dwarf. But the captain had given an order and he intended to do as he was told.

For now.

Salty smiles broadly to Joan and Elenia when they take him out of the water.
"Couldn't have done it without you, beauties!"

The rain and wind lash the ship ceaselessly throughout the morning. By midday you are all exhausted even Joan and Elenia are required to maintain the integrity of the sails. Whilst on deck on the bridge you all overhear the captain saying to Ms Avalon ”Who knows how long this weather will last. I’m making the decision, we run to the north.”

”That might take us close to the reefs of the uncharted Isles.” The half elf says.

”It’s a risk we are going to have to take. We won’t enter the archipelago. And I trust in your ability and the ability of your sailors.”The captain turns to the crew on deck. Shouting to be heard over the sound of the storm she says ”I’m sick of this wind. Unfurl sheet and let’s head north.”

Those who can please make a Profession: Sailor or Able seawoman check with a +2 (DC15) I need at least 2 out of 3 passed checks or something bad will happen. (you are not able to take 10)

Mirandir noticed that the captain and the master of sails were disagreeing about something, but couldn't make out the precise content of the disagreement. When the captain gave her order, Mirandir simply nodded and got to work making it so.

You don't need a perception check to over hear the captain this time. She is shouting over the wind and not trying to keep it secret. so act on the information as you wish.

Elenia: You only know that the Uncharted Isles are a group of small islands in the sea you are currently in. Very few people have ever been there almost none have returned. It is because of this that many of the fictional adventure books you read are set in this location. Strangely enough you noticed Mr stokes had a book on them in his office.
