I should buy one of these things, heard they were handy. So we got Fimbrik's password, but I don't know where to use it...The nameplate might be referring to the Wall of Names, but who is the requested aspirant?

"Perhaps sir Karina?"

|Kintargo Area Map | Combat Slides |

Looking over to Drusilla, Aram speaks up. "Aspirants you say? Are you talking about the Shrine of the Fallen? Sir Reynhardt is about to make his attempt to pass the test this moment."

Thinking a moment, he adds "They have monuments there for all those that perished in their attempts to become gods. Well, I'm going to hit the hay, myself. Best of luck and I look forward to see you in the future."

As you leave, the man locks the door behind you and disappears into the back of the shop.

Heading to the Shrine

As you approach the Shrine, dawn begins to break. A large crowd has gathered as the newest Aspirant rides up on horseback, preparing to take the Starstone Test. Looking towards the Starstone, you note the short walkway before the precipice, the stone itself floating out in the center.

Cheers ring out as the Crusader's determination builds.
"Go! You can do it Reinhart!"
"Jump it!"
"It shall be done!"

Turning back to the Shrine of the Failed, the massive stone structure erected centuries ago by an unknown organization pays homage to those who failed their attempts to be come gods. Numerous alters are contained within to honor each of the failed aspirants.

Once Inside Shrine:
This monumental antechamber stretches eighty feet from end to end, with a ceiling suspended thirty feet from the floor by great pillars. Seven arched passages lead to humble rooms, each of which contains a polished stone altar dedicated to one of the failed aspirants who attempted the Test of the Starstone.

Each of these chambers contains a small stone altar to one of the failed aspirants. Each altar stands upon a raised dais and bears a small brass nameplate identifying the aspirant and the would-be-god’s areas of interest.

Jedah thanks Aram for the information and makes his way back out into the rain with a sigh. Deciding that witnessing the rise of a new god, or at least an inspired try, the Jalmerian performer perks up. Making their way to the Shrine, Jedah stops with the other spectators for a first glimpse at the honourable Knight and his glorious quest to ascension.

"Good luck to you sir!" he says softly as a prayer, knowing he could hardly compete with the roar of the crowd.

Slipping into the shrine of the fallen, Jedah looks around with curiousity, examining the nameplates with genuine interest, intrigued at what people chose to embody as their Virtue.

"Well, this sure is a foreboding place and it does look poor for Sir Reinhart's chances. May the gods smile upon him." he says to no-one in particular.

As soon as he finishes writing the word, the wall to the west side of the alcove shimmers and disappears to reveal a door. With a soft *Sshhhhttt* the stone slab slides back into the wall revealing a dark, stone cavern beyond.

Seeing no further threats, you gather up your finds and relieve the enemies of their possessions in true pathfinder fashion. Heading out, its easy to blend in with the dispersing crowd. Snippets of conversations reach your ears, making it easy to assume the aspirant didn't succeed.

"I, I really thought he was going to make it..."
"That noise though....I didn't expect the squish..."
"Well, another bites the dust."

Upon returning to the Grand Lodge Dreng meets you with a smile. "Oh, good! Good! This will keep our pencil pushers busy for ages! Well done! I'll certainly put in a good word for you all with the Master of Scrolls." Tossing a silver to each of you in turn, he adds "The first round's on me tonight."

Feel free to finish up anything you wish. Congratulations, you have completed the wounded wisp.
