Hope you don't mind, but I like to separate my posts if there are two events to respond too, I find it too chaotic to have one large post. In fact, it was driving me a bit nuts in S&S until we relaxed on the job rolls
I think by posting once here I can save myself the trouble of posting in two other threads. Starting Saturday night, I'll be driving cross-country until Friday. I can still check in daily on my phone and hopefully whatever hotels we stay at will have internet, my posting rate will just be lower than normal. My posting times will also change a bit once I get there since I'll be going from east coast to west coast time.

What! Unacceptable.... ;-)
Hope you have a great trip Kayla and don't worry about it. And thanks for letting me know, I really appreciate that.
Is the entire family going?
Oh and to your question above, no you don't need to roll perception rolls for finding each other, but I understood what Lucanus meant when he posted that. It was an action that took extra special attention and thus it should require a skill check.
In those fast forward times you are all welcome to try and accomplish something and if that is a skill based thing or you think it would be related to a skill based thing than you have to roll. Like trying to use handle animal to teach a trick to one of the dogs or something.
So for instance Kayla rolling handle animal on the horses is perfect because it indicates you are trying to do something that would require skill, in this instance because its over a period of time I just take the roll to assume the entire weeks worth of handle animals checks rather than one.
As for how you guys are posting it's great. I'm fine with you guys making some assumptions about conversations and situations and some general actions that don't require checks, which brings me to my next point...
Matei what are you doing taking away a perfect opportunity for some opposed skill checks??? :-)
(okay i speak sarcasticly a lot and it may not always come across in my writing but i'll do my best to emphasis when I do. This being my second sarcastic comment this post :)
But seriously :) I'm fine with you playing cards with the NPCs, I think that's great, but I'd rather instead of assume that your character is smarter and better than the NPCs he's playing cards with that you set yourself up in situations that require skill checks, Maybe that means Matei actually does get the best of the soldiers, or it might mean that they have some tricks up their sleeves, you never know ;-)
It might work better if you posted something like,
"Matei was invited to play cards during the game he'll try and bluff a few times as well as watch for any bluffs."
And then you would roll a bluff and a sense motive check.
Or you could just lay out the event and I could let you know what rolls you need to try and make.
That way you can have the fun of putting yourself in fun situations and interacting with them...but that might mean you also loose some money and have it not go as planned :-D

There is a lot of poetic licence that can be used for this, so far I am really liking it. I had an idea for the attitude of the character, and within five minutes of posting, the character changed completely, so I'm glad that he evolved
Well, my husband's already out there. I also haven't been with him since March, so I may be otherwise occupied when I first get out there. I'll be making the trip with a 5 year old, a 20 month old and my mother in law.

Ah, sure.
My idea was more that at the start they were teaching him how to play the game but he simply grasped it faster than expected (14 int is quite a lot for someone who isn't a scholar of some sort) and managed to surprise them.
Yeah, that S&S is pretty much dead and I made the mistake of joining another one that I don't want to be in now. I mean it's really going to be bad I can tell. I mean really, like 5 female characters in it? check it out
I been wondering if Kingmaker will die off too, just cause of how slow it is.
Hopefully some of my characters are different enough you're not tired of them yet. :)

half orc fighter eh? Well if all my online campaigns die, then I will be retiring from online stuff. Joined this against my personal rule, but it was too good of a concept.

Lol lucanus, I hope the concept lives up to the expectations :-) there are 7 or 8 characters in that s&s game Kayla. That's crazy. Five is the Max for me in any game. Tough enough to keep track of and still make sense of the posts.
So I rushed to work and the boss is half hour late. Wish I had my laptop to post :-( I could do it on my phone but I need to be able to scroll back to check rolls and character sheets etc other wise I'm just not happy posting because i might miss somthing.

Ah, I'm form the east side myself, just off Taylor. Went to st. Thomas and then Walter Murray Collegiate.
Okay so I had to post on all the other games tonight but I'll post on this one tomorrow morning...besides I think you all have your hands full over in S&S right now, Ouch!, good luck...

So far Nemius and Lucanus have just been burning through the enemies with one shots, it's kind of epic :) Not that Atlas getting run through with a sword isn't epic :) :) :)

Due to unforeseen circumstances with internet, I will not be able to post on these messageboards anymore. So it is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye to you all. Please NPC my character and re-recruit if you can.
