Annie clings to Angelica's side, her teddy bear clutched firmly in her one hand.

She looks up at Angelica, looking for a sign to attack.

Angelica pulls herself free from Annie's clutch.
"Annie dear, can you play in that corner over there, mommy has something to discuss with these nice people." Angelica says pointing in the general direction of the latch for the gate.

She nods the five men over to a corner and if she passes the front gate nods in the general direction of the group (if they can see that).
"Now listen here you bunch of spineless excuses for guards. Why did you not open the gate sooner? You saw me on the approach. Have the devils turn you into jelly or something?!" Angelica starts ranting, trying to create the diversion the rest needs to bypass the gate.

"We didn't want the Devil to get in..." Says one as they recoil from the scolding, their attention firmly fixed on Angelica.


Nodding at her mommy, Annie moves from Angelica's side, but instead, heads toward the alarm bell. looking for a way to disable it from ringing.


Disable Device check DC 15 to disable the bell without making noise.

Annabelle disables the bell alarm without the guards noticing, who are still paying attention to Angelica.


What would you like to do now?


well we don't want this to be the angelica and Annie show, I do hope others have some ideas as well. but i am ready to burn some guards.

There will be plenty more fighting and plenty more opportunity for the spot light to fall on the rest of us if you just want to burn the guards. If not Yanev has been sneaking up to get close enough to help, we probably can assume the other have been too.

Oh, yes, it's focused on you two at the moment but that's how games go. If you do open the gates, Johann will summon something right inside but it might not be needed if you burninate them all.


Just want to point out that you needn't be super cautious for the most part in this game, as you are overleveled and will remain so and I am not a killer GM. There will be some tough battles down the road but this game is largely a power fantasy, you can usually take risks and try bold things without getting smacked down(unless the dice really really hate you or you do something obviously suicidal).

"You men are the most worthless I have ever seen. Those devils will crawl into this place without much of an effort and meanwhile. You are locked up here with us..." Angelica says with a voice so cold the temperature just dropped. With that she takes her sword and cuts through the first man in front of her.

Combat begins, you all have 24 hours to post your actions before the guards go as usual.

The guard Angelica attacks tumbles back, dead, as he chest is sliced open. The other guards look on in shock and horror.


Annie looks at the developing situation.

She then skips around toward the main gate. as she eyeballs a guard. suddenly her little hand bursts into flame and a bolt of fire slams into a guard.

The guard recoils and cries out as his sleeve bursts into flame, but he is still standing.

Glancing across the bridge to the prison, Damien smirks "I have a feeling we're on deck; gather round all, time for a quick prayer for success."

Making a quick sign and offering to Asmodeus, the members of the ninth feel a surge of energy.

Johann begins a summoning spell, chanting words of magic and bringing out a bag and small candle to focus his spell.

Casting Summon Monster I to summon an eagle outside the gate for next round, lasts 4 rounds when summoned. Unless you'd allow summoning the alternative summoning option that is the Bloody Human Skeleton?

The three guards facing Angelica draw their weapons and shields but don't attack, two of them shouting at her to stand down as they don't understand what is happening while the other turns to the bell to find to his surprise it is disabled.

The guard burned by Annabelle draws his weapons, looking confused then bolts down the hall, yelling for help.

Annie glances toward the running guard a rather pissed off look (but still kinda cute)

her hand with a little ball of flame, suddenly the fire flies out and unerringly hits the running guard.

As Angelica cuts down another guard Annabelle blasts the fleeing one in the back, dropping him.

Annie's hands start to heat up as she skip on over behind one of the guards fighting Angelica. (positioning herself for flank)

Grumblejack hums as he watches the flashes of light coming from within the prison and hears the shrieks.

"Hmmm, I hope things are going well." He says contemplatively. Making a decision he gets up and runs up to the gate, pressing on it, to his surprise it swings wide open.

"Hello." He says to Angelica and Annabelle. "Gate wasn't re-barred?"


The guard takes a swing at Angelica's head.

She swings her sword around and stops it just an inch away from the last guard's face.
"Now would be a good time to drop your weapon and surrender. We might let you live as an example if you share what you know about this place. If you think you can defeat the lot of us on your own, please try and we will kill you slowly and horribly."

Yanev rushes in after Grumblejack to find the battle over. "Additionally you can get out of that uniform and tell us about your procedures for changing guards, passwords and timings and all that." the Doctor adds.


Annie skips on over to the front gate and gives Grmblejack a hug, you made it, yay

the front gate is open now so everyone can come in.


"All that are left is Blackerly and ten other guards, the Warden disappeared, he is a wizard so I suppose he could have magically fled, don't like thinking much about the alternative." The guard informs his captors. "Blackerly is in charge and there are no traps I am aware of in the prison, though I haven't been allowed in the Warden's tower."


"Get naked?" The guard says to Yanev, raising a questioning eyebrow."There are no procedures now. Blackerly will show up to change guards soon but there is nothing complicated about it, all that stuff is ignored now."


Grumblejack pats Annabelle on the head affectionately.

"With all the flashes and racket I was concerned for you girls, I see that there was no reason to worry though."

Johann has no particular contribution here! Just waiting for others on my part. I can't exactly stab that guard with my weak wizard hands.

"Perhaps we should look around the place before we burn it. Doubtless the wizard would have to leave some of their effects behind and it would be wise to get them first."

The doctor brow farrows "Yes get out of your uniform now, we need it. If you do exactly what we ask and don't warn Blackley we might not kill you."
The demons might kill you, or even better the rock or water at the bottom of the cliff might kill you. he thinks.
"Grumblejack you and Annabelle will need to hide the rest of us should be able to look enough like guards that Blackley will need to get close to be ambushed." He says going and closing the gate again.


The guard, looking embarrassed, strips down to his undies.

The doctor takes the uniform and hands it to Angelica and asks "Were either of you hurt during the fight?"


Once the guard has stripped Annie sits in front of him looking at him. you look cold? are you cold?

Yanev can tell that Annie did hear him, but she may not necessarily follow those directions.


Having seen what he thinks is a young girl throw fire from her fingers the guard is hesitant to say he is cold, in case she tries to warm him up with directly applied fire.

Though he shivers he says. "No, I am quite alright, thank you."
