Doh! Yea, add 5 to that roll.

As for the spellbook, I wish I could have found that when Yanda reached 4th level. The only spell she can copy is identify, which she will.

I was waiting for a night's sleep so Ardain could memorize read magic. Then I forgot/the game wound up. I would definitely like to scribe those spells over.

Why do you say that? Like I said, you don't need to be able to make the formulae yet in order to be able to put them in your book now. If it's both in that book and on the Alchemist list, you are free to try learning them now. :)

You do need to make Spellcraft rolls (DC 15+spell/formula level) and spend scribing costs (10 for 1st-level, 40 for 2nd-level, 90 for 3rd-level), though, and only one attempt for each formula/spell you attempt to learn.

Make your rolls/spend your scribing costs, then!

Well, looking it over, that adds one more spell. Alchemists do not have a very large class spell list.

Level 1: Identify Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Character Folio reroll: Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Level 2: Resist Energy Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Total Cost: 50 gp.
