Two groups are going through this.
For some reason I set up a second game thread for Group 2, but not for Group 1.

Bounding across the floor, Lyan attempts to put an end to the horrible singing. C1 ignores his efforts, but the newly arrived Caller gets a warning of a short and nasty future.

Lyan, you hit C2, but only do half damage as it isn't fully materialised on your turn.

The Callers refocus their attacks. C1 targets Akemi, while C2 takes good note of Lyan.

What did you mean by "C1 took 5 from Rothel's zone"? My zone doesn't do damage.

Rothel moves up near Norrin as his spirit returns to the enemy's side. He continues to empower his spirits to lend aid, while he firmly plants his newly purchased standard into the ground. He prods the more effective weapon users to consolidate, "If more people fight beside Rahz-Ahk, he can provide them more attacks for more power."

Rothel calls on Rahz-Ahk to aid his allies and conjures another zone of healing for his friends to recuperate in.

Akemi nods appreciatively and shifts to take advantage of Rothel's aid. Her attacks deliver no damage, but she serenely shakes aside the baneful effects of the Caller.

Norrin's sudden attack causes C1 to start gurgling as many of the singing heads simply collapse. Proud of himself, he fails to move as carefully and remains firmly in sight of all his enemies.

Lyan befuddles C2 and leaps towards the centre of the chapel. Voices rising in increasing dissonance, C1 and C2 attack as well as they can but are baffled by the unexpected resilience of the party.

C1 rolled a 1 v Akemi. C2 charged at Lyan and rolled a 5. In fact thanks to Rothel's zone, C1 actually rolled a -1. Go that Caller.

Rothel need not say anything, as Rahz-Ahk knows how to work with this group. He infuses Akemi's limbs with his hatred and lets it flow through her attack, filling her with a blood rage. Rothel moves towards the pair of Akemi and his spirit, to get away from both of the others. Meanwhile he maintains focus on his spirit's protective miasma.

Standard, Spirit of the Killing Shot, Akemi gets a melee basic as a free action with +5 to hit and +10 to damage. If she hits it does maximum damage.
Move, to M8
Minor, sustain zone.


Rothel allows the rage of his former self to fill Akemi and watches as she absorbs the power. The fullblade swings down, as she serenely follows the path laid down for her. With the aid of Rahz-Ahk, she strikes true.

Melee basic.
1d20+18+5=31. Hits. Max damage plus 10=26.

Nodding to acknowledge the deva, she focuses once more and swings again, driving her blade deep into the now screaming throats of the singers.

Norrin's arrow sinks into the last set of vocal chords and C1 collapses in a wave of shadow. Satisfied, the half-orc drops back down among the pews like a particularly lethal Punch and Judy puppet.

Lisbarr strides to the centre of the room and turns and admonishing gaze on the two remaining choirs. Only one takes any notice. C3 is too busy organising its tenor section.

Oops, totally didn't pay attention to my turn. Sorry about that.

Rothel surveys the situation, trying to take in how everyone looks. Confident that all seems well enough, he presses his spirit form to continue the offensive. He moves to the space behind Lyan, as the spirit moves to hover above Akemi, feeling that just a push of spiritual resonance will be handy at the moment. Just then Rahz-Ahk attacks the caller, and encourages Akemi to do the same.

Rothel moves to F12.
Spirit moves to H8 above Akemi.
Minor, Healing Spirit on Lyan, surge+6 OR get a save. Akemi gets 3d8 ⇒ (3, 5, 4) = 12 and 6 temps. If Lyan spends a surge, all allies in yellow zone get 1 HP.

At the outburst by the heavily wounded caller, Rothel is relieved by the semi-ephemeral nature of his spirit that allowed the wave to pass right through it. He is, however, startled when the other caller manages to take up a position near him and strike him instead. He moves warily back inside the protective aura of Rahz-Ahk's spirit cloud, and directs the spirit to harry the wounded caller despite his desire to go after the one beside him. The spirit falters, its anger focused on the one nearest Rothel. He feels the creature at his back and worries, but it is unable to consume any of his essence.
