Hey you lot and welcome to The Sunless Citadel
OK there are a few things I wanna cover
>Your timelines
>Preference on hp per lvl
>You have max starting Gp to equip yer self
>If any of your characters have history together
>Ask any questions you want.
Thanks glad you could join me!
Game will start when everyone's character is finished.

Hey all, in case you didnt pick up on it, Dwarf Druid
going to be focusing on casting, picked up the earth domain in place of an animal companion, partially for flavor reasons =).

I had a quick question: based on my character background (generally focused on the more earth/stone aspect of the druid) would you consider allowing knowledge (dungeoneering) to replace knowledge (nature) for me? Dungeoneering covers splunking, divining depth and slope, and generally things that I think my character would be good at. He rarely goes to the surface, prefering exploring caves, so knowledge about surface plants and animals seems a bit out of character.

Also, just wanted to say hello to everybody. I'm new to play by post, but I've played pathfinder a whole bunch. so if I'm doin something wrong, or even just out of the ordinary/conventional, let me know :)

oh! and i picked up a healing kit but if everyone chips in we could definitely get a wand. I don't want to play dedicated healer of course because they're absolutely useless, but outside of combat and an occasional in combat rescue is fine!

Hola. :) Excited to see where this goes. Pretty inexperienced, but active and interested.

Your timelines - I can post at least once per day, most likely twice if needed (I will let you know in advance days that may not have a post. Next Thursday comes to mind as i will be driving for 12 hours)

Preference on hp per lvl - Max at first, roll for hp with half as min (works well in the long run, 50% chance to get half, 50% to get better)

You have max starting Gp to equip yer self - cool

If any of your characters have history together - maybe the gnome, but dwarves? j/k I speak Dwarven

Ask any questions you want - When do you want the completed by?

---

Hello to all, I am looking forwards to adventuring together. Never hurts to be the tallest one around...usually.

Timelines: I'm around. 2+ posts per day, thanks to a job w/ downtime.
Preference for hp: Dunno, never had a char past lvl 1.
Gold: Awesome.
History: Doesnt fit, but he may have run into people before, prolly not the best of friends with anyone.
Questions: No.

sorry. didnt really address timeline. I'm a student. Just about done with finals...3pm tomorrow...jesus i can't wait. I'll be off for break so free a lot. as for hitpoints per level, i always liked the "half+1 rule" I feel like Xamus's rule would give us a lot of hitpoints...which i'm totally fine with of course :)

as far as history, i could certainly be buddy buddy with ratchet if that's something he'd like. I'm also perfectly fine otherwise, i dunno what his backstory is

(Male Human Fighter)

Hi Everybody! Just checking in! will update with Stats here soon.

(HP 10/10, AC 15, CMD 12, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1, Init +2)

>Your timelines: Able to post daily in almost all cases. Often more than that if necessary. (my job has me with a lot of downtime with nothing to entertain myself with but a computer. I do a *lot* of writing)

>Preference on hp per lvl: I've always preferred the "top half" method, or the "1d4+class bonus" method (Fighter, for instance, is 1d4+6 under this method), same as Xamus. Makes the party a bit more durable, which is never bad.

>You have max starting Gp to equip yer self: Fantastic. Because of holiday madness I won't be able to get to filling out my equipment list until Saturday afternoon. If we start before then I'll just keep things ambiguous.

>If any of your characters have history together: I wouldn't mind if Rhoh and I came here together. We've been in town for a while (according to what I'd written up as a pitch). Anyone who'd like to link their characters to mine might be able to use that as a jumping off point

>Ask any questions you want.: Any common legends about the fortress before it sank, or regarding why?

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

Rumors about The Sunless Citadel.:
Not much can be said about the old fortress in days of old perhaps 500 years ago or even longer none say for sure the Fortress stood tall and overlooked the Old Road and Oakhurst it is said that a King once ruled there and ruled the nearby lands. As to how it sunk to the bottom of the world none know for sure but most say that an earthquake so powerful tore the large ravine open however the ravine is only about 30ft wide at it's largest point as where the Citadel is massive and by far many times wider than the ravine. Those who have dared to go there or at least say they have claim that the Citadel is perfectly intact as if it never fell beneath the earth.

Timeline: Rhome has only been in town a few days, Hes been doing grunt work (chopping wood, doing stock, carrying Heavy stuff) for the local inn keeper in exchange for room/ board. hes been spending his Evening in the Inn, trying to catch on to a group of adventures he can tag along with.

HP, I'm used to using the PFS rules, but I'm open for anything.

GP, I Didn't spend it all, and i'm not keepign what I didn't use. Rhome came from a self-Sufficent farm that was pretty isolated, they had no need for gold. the Items he has was traded for and collected by him over the last few years, with the exception of his Armor, which was a gift from his Mother, left over from her Adventuring days.

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

Gameplay is open.

Wareagle: I had a quick question: based on my character background (generally focused on the more earth/stone aspect of the druid) would you consider allowing knowledge (dungeoneering) to replace knowledge (nature) for me? (ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

that would make more sense and would definitely be more useful so I will allow.

thanks! :)

Ninja-edited that last post. Meant 110 total from those two chars.

(HP 10/10, AC 15, CMD 12, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1, Init +2)

Figure 60 from me.

right, so total that's 240? plus whatever Rhome can spare, which from his backstory may not be very much :P

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

I doubt Rhome has any thing to spare if his weapon is a rusty axe and he uses a pot lid for a shield :) So it would seem you can only afford the one with 11 charges.

hmm. Alright well I allotted a fair bit of my gear to healing to begin with, so I'll put down the full 60 and the rest o ye can quibble over the rest of it. as Ratchet hasn't bought his stuff yet I'll elect to leave him some leeway. could do 20 each from each of you?

Yes, but is it a gold potlid?

Eh, save some of your cash. I'll put down like 60, I have little use for it.

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

Another thing I should let you in on well actually a few things number 1 everyone get 2d100 exp all roll separately. Just a little thing I do with 1st lvl characters. Number two I need everyone to make up a quick character crunch that looks like this:

HP -/-
Init: - AC: -
Perception: -
Fort: - Ref: - Will: -

Everyone please fill out and include on character sheet. Every round of combat include under a spoiler.

XP:
2d100 ⇒ (79, 34) = 113
I'll try remember that quick crunch block. Shouldnt be hard once we're used to it!

(HP 10/10, AC 15, CMD 12, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1, Init +2)

2d100 ⇒ (24, 88) = 112

Looks like Rhoh killed one more rat than me.

2d100 ⇒ (25, 79) = 104

2d100 ⇒ (56, 91) = 147
.

Any issue with me scribing a couple scrolls ahead of time?

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

No prob.

Xamus is posted and complete.

(Male Human Fighter)

XP

2d100 ⇒ (12, 47) = 59

DOH!

lol

Happy holidays you lot ;)

Alright. I'm out of contact until the 1st. Have a good holiday everyone!

Merry christmas :) I'm still around, but it'd probably be best to sit tight until cru is back!

I will bout of pocket for a couple days as I travel to an Internet limited area.

(Male Dwarf Druid 1)

twiddling thumbs :P

(Male Human Ranger 1)

Alive and in the internet world again. have to do some flying today but otherwise ready to rock and roll.

(HP 10/10, AC 15, CMD 12, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1, Init +2)

Looks like the gang's all here.

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

So everyone's ready to get back into it then :)

(Male Human Fighter)

Yup! ready to go!

(Male Elf Wizard 1)

Ready to go!

(ALL OF THEM!!! Goblin 20 Grandmaster DM/10 Charismatic Salesman/10 College Professer/4 Average Lad/6 King)

Cru read spoiler in my last post not sure if you missed.

(Male Human Ranger 1)

Missed completely, lol.

(Male Human Fighter)

Sorry for taking so long, its been crazy busy here at work this week. I'll try to pick up the pace

(HP 10/10, AC 15, CMD 12, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1, Init +2)

I don't want to come across as a jerk for saying this, Rhoh I hope you don't take this as any kind of judgement aimed at your last post (it just reminded me of something I like to bring up in new games that I'd forgotten about)

It's regarding formatting. I prefer that we keep anything that isn't first-person charecter related stuff in blue ooc text. It's just an aesthetic thing really, and if the majority thinks it's a pain I'll follow suit, but I wanted to bring it up and see what people thought.

I find that it makes the game more enjoyable to read, more organized and cinematic.

(Male Dwarf Druid 1)

sure thing :) I wouldn't take that as a jerk-ish comment even if you hadn't qualified it. This is my first play by post (well...i started three at the same time) So I am not offended, I appreciate it! :)

Wareagle, is everythin ok? haven't heard from you in a few days? I'm not tryin to be pushy or anything! Just noticed that it was more than one post a day to no posts in two days

(Male Elf Wizard 1)

Sorry, I came down with the crud the last couple days, posting fell to the wayside.

(Male Dwarf Druid 1)

I'm not sayin that i'm annoyed by it or anythin! I hope you feel better mate. I'm just wondering. I don't think play by post should be a priority in anyone's life :P It's just a game!

wow! i need to get some more ac :P
Cru, I think you're the only one who can use the wand on my body to heal me :P

Love to. Unfortunately, your friends seemed to be pulling you away. ;)

12!? i tip my hat to you sir! :P
