Jutmon: I can add a horse for you, or you can pick one and put it on the map.

Looks like you already have one on the map, Akinra, so a copy of that would be fine. Whatever is easiest for you is good for me. :)

Hey everyone, sorry for disappearing. My development group had to get our plant trial plan finished quicker than expected. Turns out we're going to need everything ready for initial consumer testing two weeks ahead of the original schedule. Yay.

You can put me by the south edge of the stream, or someone can explain to me how to add my avatar to the map.

to add an object (avatar) to the map:
1) Right click your character avatar, select copy
2) Right click the map, select paste.

OR

1) Right click avatar, select Save As.
2) Make a name for your avatar, and save to your desktop.
3) Drag and drop image from desktop to map.

OR

As above, but in place of 3):
3a) Select Insert --> Image fromt the google docs menu above the map.
3b) Select your avatar.

OK, thanks. I guess it should have been obvious but I haven't worked with images much on Google Docs.

Well, you are going first against Flat Footed and Sleeping people... I think this one is largely a foregone conclusion. You never know though, sometimes the dice gods hate a freebie.

Like when the lvl 7 fighter rolls nothing above a 5 and the lvl 2 warriors never dip below 16. I have concluded that the dice gods are very real, extremely fickle, and have a perverse sense of humor.

I am sorry, I ended up with a bad case of strep throat that progressed to a tonsillar abscess. I hope to be on my feet again by Friday. Until then I plan on sleeping, a lot. It kinda hurts.

Akinra, how are you making these maps? I'm looking for a quick method for a PbP I'm running.

I am using ctrl shift 4 on mac to copy the map in the PDF.

Copying them out of PDFs is the easiest way. If you want to add coordinates or a grid, that takes about 30 seconds in Maptool.

maptool hates my mac though :/

Sorry still a little sick, waiting to see if people hook back up, slide down the rabbit hole, or what. From here depending on what happens it could get bizarre for some, so I am just letting you all get a direction solidified.

OK, well I thought Jutmon had caught up with Hammas by now. I thought we could leave the bandits tied up for awhile, but there are many reasons not to, I suppose.

We encountered a mite before. Inuki rolled a 21 on the knowledge roll for that. It's on page 5 of our thread.

Sorry that I have been inactive. I have been sick for over a week, and the last four days it has been extremely bad like I haven't been able to get out of my bed to even get my laptop bad. This is the first time I have been on the computer since Wednesday. I am hoping that I am on the back end of whatever is going on, but I don't know when I will be able to concentrate and thinking properly. I would say anywhere from another day to another week is what I hope. Will keep you informed as much as I can.

Don't forget to hydrate yourself. Good luck w/new job. My posting may also be a bit spotty. Having connectivity issues, and can't meet with the cable guy till next Saturday. After resetting my modem many times today, it's working, but it probably won't last.

Should we not be going to initiative right about now? Inuki and I basically charged into their game of "eat the caltrops", are they just ignoring us?

I am handing the dice over to you, Charging in on them together definitely gets you a surprise round if you even vaguely try..

Does handing the dice over to us mean you're not DMing anymore? Or just that you want us to roll our own attacks and saves etc?

If I understand her correctly she's probably just busy with all the going-ons in her life right now and doesn't have the time for her very extended posts as usually, so yes just having us roll for ourselves

Well someone needs to roll initiative, summarize the rounds etc.

I will take care of summaries and movement, just too time consuming to write up the long posts, do all the dice, and write up the sections. So I am turning over the rolling to you all. The monsters are playing a game, and unaware. You have surprise. If they live, I will roll their init in the coming round.

Well I am starting to recover even though I still have a cough, and it turned into an ear infection (I think/hope because otherwise my ear is hurting very painfully for another reason) today which sucks. I should get things back into things (and catch up) and be able to post tonight or tomorrow.

So it's pretty clear that we've lost both Hammas and Sergei. Is that going to be acknowledged in game at some point? Is there any prospect for the speed of this game to pick up again? It was going so fast and great, and now it barely trickles.

I am leaving them outside, if they arent back by then, their corpses will be located outside when you head back to the surface. I am tweaking the encounter(s) to minimize the loss.

Meanwhile, I am working on getting a block of time (1 hour) per night when I can catch up. My workload has tripled this month, and several health issues have risen their heads all around me. My son broke his leg, and my best friend had a stroke, losing 50% of his left hemisphere.

All in all, I am glad to see April pass.

I wish to apologize to everyone for disappearing. It was rude and unkind, however unintentional. You see, I simply forgot. There's a long story that involves family drama, a disputed inheritance, dying matriarchs, and a long drive across the Nevada desert accompanied by an 80S soundtrack, but really, the heart of the story is rather unoriginal.(I swear on my collection of holy books, everything it's all true.)

Just wanted to pop back in to apologize and give people some idea of what happened. Sorry, and thanks for letting me play with you.

P.S. I remembered when one of the guys from our RL group tracked me down and suggested doing a skype session during the summer holiday. That got me thinking Hmm, if Skype doesn't work, we could use the Paizo website to... Oh crap.

Due to general lack of just about everything vaguely resembling spare time, I am retiring this campaign.
