I am not all that familiar with Inquisitors, but a skill monkey and/or another front line type would probably be best. I would take Vale over Duncan at this point although both are from the same player. I would like to see what Monkeygod can put together, but if it has taken him this long for a submission, that concerns me as to how regular a poster he is.

Hopefully I will sleep sometime tonight. Words are really just starting to blur together. Will look up our prospects when I have half a brain cooperating with itself again.

Inquisitor of Gorum doesn't fit flavor wise (as Gorum is not a skulk around and sneak guy). Plus I think STR Ranger has put him up for a different campaign also and replaced with the Urban Ranger.

The Urban Ranger doesn't leap out at me either. Has both Int and Cha as dump stats - also Scale Mail (which with a -4 ACP) means he's only got a +2 in Stealth...

Monkeygod is a reliable poster (I've DM'ed him for almost a year now) - just busy at present I think.

Unless I'm mistaken the only finished character is the Urban Ranger from STR Ranger? - and if I'm being honest, I don't like it.

Agreed Gethric - surprised there are not more submissions. One thing I am quite confused on is how one would play a neutral character as an assassin. Kinda does not add up.

Tark - I'm assuming that standard equipment is fair game? or do you want us to RP / roll for availability of things?

I don't think I'll be stepping beyond core and APG, but it's always worth a confirm.

You're in a major city and I'm assuming this particular crew is savvy enough to know the right black market vendors so unless it's something truly out there have at it.

getting my head in order after a really bad two weeks. will probably have something substantial up if not this evening, then sometime before the weekend.

Probably an appropriate juncture to do a cross-post to all my more active PbPs about an interruption to my posting schedule that is imminent.

My wife is about 37 weeks pregnant, which basically means that the bun is fully cooked and ready to pop at any time. This means that at some point in the next 1 day to 4 weeks I will suddenly and without notice disappear completely from the interwebs. I can't say when or for how long, but it will probably knock me out for up to a week or so before my wife and I get back on our feet and I'm of somewhat sound and untired enough mind to jump back online.

So if I do vanish, please don't fret as I shall return :) I would just ask for some leeway on posting frequency for a while as we adjust to the new baby floating around.

Regarding the replacement for Csiza:

I like all three. Not sure about the Anti-Paladin. We have a tough enough time without throwing a CE into the mix. Although it would be an interesting addition. Not sure how an anti-paladin would work as an assassin though, they seem like they would be more interested in the corruption of the general populace, than in simply killing specific people for money.

The ranger and the rogue both give good skills and more martial skills, both are high dex builds.

If I had to vote, despite already having one ranger I would go:

1) Shadow - Ranger(urban)
2) Grymblade - Rogue - close second
3) Dron Drox - Anti-Paladin

I rather like shadow since of the ones posted so far she's the most "sane" dron sounds like he'd get along with Gethric right up until the gruesome murders started attracting the attention of paladins.

Besides she's a different kind of ranger from Gethric in many different ways so I see very little toe stepping.

EDIT - Agreed - it is interesting how rangers can be pseudo-fighters, pseudo-druids or pseudo-rogues. Shadow definitely appears to have nothing in common with Gethric other than the basic class.

Shadow would be fine with me. As you say there is little overlap between her and Gethric.

Grymblade I would also have no issues with.

Gethric wouldn't get on well with Dron... I quote:

When Gethric was in prison, they assigned him to the chain gang. Bad idea since he used it to kill the guards and the rest of the prisoners. I think he kept that chain as a memento.

Darkvision only sees in grayscale if there isn't enough light for normal sight.

I never read any of the Salvatore books, so I just know how my husband described dark vision.

I think Salvatore's description is based off of the DnD version. How Pathfinder works is more akin to how infrared works out in the field. The multi-color version is processed in post or during filming by the camera I think.

But yeah, no night vision for Shadow.

Actually in the original AD&D it was infravision and ultravision. Infravision saw in the infrared spectrum and thus could see heat signatures. Ultravision saw in the UV spectrum and thus worked when there was no heat. I know that most demi-humans (elves, dwarves, halflings, etc.) saw with infravision. Not sure, but dwarves may have had ultravision.

Wife and new Bub continue to do well and all things considered should hopefully be back in our own home as of tomorrow. Will see how the home-life settles out before committing to a specific time for wading back online so if DM-botting can continue that would be grand. I'm assuming Gethric is mainly following with a surly disposition.

Hello? Anyone home?

Heyo, one of the games I'm in is in need of a replacement player. You'll be adventuring with a bunch of dwarves, a gnome, and a human. While a front line fighter, or a paladin, would be awesome, I think we can find a spot for you no matter what.

If dwarves aren't your thing, then maybe you'd like to join the elves? They also need some help, badly. I think their much more desperate for a front liner and wouldn't say no to some extra healing from what I've heard. the only bad news is you're going to have to put with a wily dwarf ranger with a penchant for turning people into pin-cushions no matter which side you pick. Picking elves just delays the inevitable ;).

Chainmail's the GM and the encounters have been fun, if terrifying at times. (20 to 7 odds, the 20 had access to mounts, we didn't) Expect to have to play smart and use everything you have at your disposal.

As an FYI for all, I may be off the boards from Friday the 18th until Monday the 28th. I have attempted to download a program which allows me to tether my PC through my Iphone, but do not know whether it will work where I am going. Thus, I hope to keep up with my characters, but if I fall behind, feel free to DMPC me as necessary.

Anyone know what happened to Candy? She has not posted in 11 days on this campaign, but is posting on others.

Also, I think we might have lost Hawk. [S]He was DMing another campaign I was in and then suddenly announced yesterday that he was going to have to stop DMing because of lack of time. I sent him a PM, but have not gotten a response.
