Chronicle Sheets GM Busy At Work........

Fresh off their induction into the Society and the completion of their basic training within the organization, You find yourselves in the office of Ambrus Valsin, the venture-captain in charge of daily operations in and around the Grand Lodge.
The efficient and straightforward chamberlain greets the all of you curtly and motions for you to sit before jumping straight into your assignment.

“All right, Pathfinders! Listen up. I know you are new recruits
eager to make names for yourselves in the organization, but first we need to make sure you are up to snuff and won’t get yourself killed out there. I have a number of small assignments for you and your team, and it would be best if you could finish them before the day’s end."

“Every day we get some doe-eyed hopeful or some sniveling bootlicker willing to do anything to join up with the Pathfinders. Most of them are good kids, but not all of them have the salt to make it in a world like this. It’s rough out there and I’m not just talking about the ruins, tombs, and wilderness Pathfinders find themselves in on missions. We’ve got people who look down their noses at us, folks who think we squander our resources, and agents. who want to take everything we have collected. This wealth of knowledge and these items of lore make us the most powerful organization on the planet. That said, since we are fractured and widespread, it’s difficult for that power to light on anything for too long. For every friend of the Society, there are two enemies."

“Your first mission, to test your mettle and loyalties, sends you to meet a few people important to the Society living here in Absalom. These are other venture-captains or close allies of our organization, so follow their orders as you would mine.:

"I’ve prepared a list of things I want you to do. They’re not arranged in any particular order of importance, but I want them all completed as quickly as possible. Only report to me once you complete them all. Included in the envelope you hold in your hands is the list, complete with the name of your contact, and directions to the meeting location."

As he looks at you.
"I know that you have being in some scraps and that this isn't the first time for you but still, don't get too bigheaded."

"You will not find me wanting, Captain Valsin." Says a towering, broad-shouldered Ulfen man. A flaming red beard frames the friendly smile on his handsome face and tumbles down his chest, Hair of the same bright hue escapes the back of his helm and hangs midway down his back. A Longsword rests at his hip, and a large wooden shield, featuring a large metal spike and emblazoned with a red sea-dragon over a turquoise sea, sits on his back. Three Javelins and a Crossbow peek over his shoulders from beneath the shield. A faded red cloak hangs from his neck, and a plain scale mail suit of armor provides him protection.

He turns to introduce himself to the other Pathfinders-in-training, extending a hand for a firm clasp to the nearest one. "My name is Ēoswulf, son of the wise and strong Lord Gērmwyn out of the north. I am come to be a Pathfinder so that I might inspire men, make my father ever prouder, give the skalds a tale or ten worth telling," He adds with a wink, "and extend my clan's trade network throughout the Inner Sea."

"And what is this, dearie? A shopping list?" a voice says, from beneath a hooded cloak. As he lifts the hood back with gold-skinned, delicate looking hands, you see a face not even a mother could love. You think he's an elf, but the shiny, crinkled skin and the bad teeth in an overly wide smile are hard to look past.

"Greetings, Ēoswulf, son of the wise and strong Lord Gērmwyn out of the north. That's quite a mouthful! I am simply Geoclunicus, perhaps you have heard of me? No matter, as I am sure we will be great friends." While he seems to speak pleasantly, it just gives off a creepy vibe.

A high pitched voice calls out from the floor. "Hinkle Micrinkleberry at your service." A gnome with a short trimmed blue beard extends his hand upward. "I'm an aspiring adventurer and blacksmith. I look forward to working with you and my hammer and the blessings of Torag are at your service." The enthusiastic gnome is dressed in work overalls which he wears over his chain shirt. on his hip is a small warhammer.

Ēoswulf clasps the elf's hand firmly. His friendly smile spreads wider "I've heard of you now! Ha ha ha!" He throws his head back in a hearty laugh, then bends over and slaps his knee, still laughing. He takes a calming breath to stop his laughing and says, seriously but with a smile, "Indeed, I'm sure we'll get along grand."

Ēoswulf releases the elf's hand and turns to look down at the gnome for a second before extending his hand. "I've known servants of Torag to be a worthy lot--I'm sure you'll prove the same."

Hinkle:
missing an 'a' in your "enthusiast" there. ;)

A gnome, a clear practitioner of the arcane arts, that has been perusing a book pipes up, "Are you serious! Errands! One of the greatest minds in all of Absalom and you are sending me to run your errands ... yes, yes, I know thirty-two point seven-eight-nine percent of society missions fall into the category of courier, escort, or other errands but ...", the little gnome's ranting continues as he takes the note, reads it, and hands it to another party member.

"Well we best be off then!"

Earlier the party was able to get his name, Maximos Jax, but mostly he talked in seeming riddles of math, science and arcane theory.

you should move your post to the other gameplay thread. We are all waiting on Hinkle to do the same.
