The Salvation of Sandpoint

It is the night before the first day of Autumn. It is late in the evening at The Rusty Dragon - many who were gathered have left and returned home. There are other patrons in the bar, but the energy has died down dramatically. There are six of you who feel especially drawn to one another - whether through previous connections or that night's festivities.

The bartender poured you three pitchers of wine before heading off to bed. And now you sit, the Six, discussing your plans for the festival and the future.

Rohan takes a drink while Copperscale finishes his story. "So there we were, on the deck of the Orca. The sea serpent roared as he prepared to strike at our ship. Then I valiantly climbed to the crow's nest and roared back at him. The surprise of it distracted him long enough for the crew to get their weapons ready and fired everything they had. Eventually he had enough and left." The little wyrmling explains while gesturing the act of firing a pistol and then a bow."You know, last time you told that story, the serpent was only 15 feet tall, not 20. And we killed him.." The summoner mentions. "Uh, well you see..." Copper is cut off by the laughter at the table.

Ya know Rohan, I've been on the deck of the Orca, It ain't that big.

Noro starts to go into another tale of how she beat up some guy giving her some trouble. same story as always just a different face to be punched.

Adrien continues to laugh and jest as the night goes on.

"You know Noro, that story reminds me of a time I got in a boxing match with this fellow at the Sandpoint Festival... oh wait"

With a laugh and a smile, Adrien puts his arm around Rohan and gives him a shake.

"Yea, you still owe me a rematch. I haven't forgotten." Rohan mentions while finishing his drink. "Heh. That was some fight, nothing to be ashamed of, buddy." Copper chimes in. "I still lost." The summoner quietly thinks to himself.

Noro can only smile when Adrien brings up the boxing match.

yeah I watched that match neither of them can box she thinks to herself.

Noro picks at her plate of broiled fish occasionally trying to give some to copper without Rohan seeing.

Copper just grins as he is noisily eats the food stealthily given by Noro. Rohan seems to be too focused on his drink while he broods about the lost match against Adrien. He tries to hide it while smiling occasionally as people tell stories and make small talk. Copper draws attention away from his friend by telling another outlandish story.

Rhasa smiles at the tall tales the others were regailing each other with, but remains silent, just enjoying their company as she eats her meal.

The room seems quiet, save their boisterous tales and laughter, compared to the bustling brew ha ha it was a couple of hours ago. The warm flush of the drink has clearly overtaken Talon, he leans back in his chair with a constant smile and a dulled look to his eyes. While fully coherent, he has numbed nicely. He is in a good place with good companions, comfortable, yet lively and interesting. Their tales offer entertainment and amusement, even if he's heard some of them before.

Zelaria arrives at the Dragon after sundown. While the Orca was in dock, the bells were far more relaxed, and what few crew members there were remaining to maintain the ship took liberties in the galley. Discipline from the officers was less stringent, and interaction with others far more taxing, and with the festival approaching, her brothers were far more active than usual. Each element combined to make Zelaria weary to the bone, so much so that pulling her chair seemed a challenge to her frail arms.

None would ever mistake Zelaria for a professional sailor. Of her the more experienced crew said very little, at least those with wives and children her age in some port elsewhere on the Orca's call, that she was a professional wanderer, a moth. But her fingers were nimble and on the off chance she sung her voice was more often sweet than not, so they tolerated her on the whole. And it was rarely wise to antagonize the girl responsible for the stores of fresh water and keeping the food sound.

Zelaria offers a smile to assembly as she assumes her seat with a sigh. "Good eve," she offers brightly, tucking one slim leg up under herself when she sits. "Copper, what do you recommend tonight?" she inquires.

"Nom, nom. The broiled salmon is good. So's the steak." Copper replies before stuffing his face some more. "Where'd you get salmon?" Rohan asks while looking around. Noro pretends to pay attention to her drink to look inconspicuous. Rohan just sighs and pours himself more wine. Copper giggles while digging into his food.

Noro asks giving Talon a friendly punch to the arm.

As Rohan asks Copper about the Salmon she tries to slide her plate of half eaten salmon dinner over in front of Talon as if ite was never her plate to begin with.
