Moving left, the ten foot wide corridor goes about 30 feet ending at a wooden door that appears to be slightly ajar. the latching mechanism is definitely destroyed.

there are claw marks all over the door.

the stench of decaying flesh lingers about. definitely coming from whatever lies beyond the door.

You can make out the sounds of some sort of guttural growl from the other side. it sound much like the sounds of the Ghasts you encountered earlier.

directly ahead is a This humanoid creature with long, sharp teeth, and its pallid flesh is stretched tightly over its starved frame holding what appears to be the arm of a lizardfolk. upon seeing you it begins to come forward to attack.

this creature could possibly have once been a human

Tatsuo sends a small zap of electricity at the creature. Ray of Frost -> Electricity. Extra damage from bloodline.
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 Since I believe he's also denied his Dex bonus due to not yet having acted, I believe that hits.

It does little damage as Sora moves in to engage with her long neck.

He chants a druidic incantation and a circle of green magic appears at both ends of his staff.
He reaches the end of his movement and sets in a position ready for the second monster's attack. He faces towards the second, indicating where it is.

The Ghoul that everyone saw initially was torn to a smelly icky pile of gooey rotting body parts without enough substance left for the necromantic energies to keep together.

As if on cue form Mickey's warning, the ghoul in the corner lumbers out and strikes out at Jeironn.

attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

but the ghoul's claws do not possess the strength to penetrate his armor.

perception DC 10:

These ghouls were once human and what is left of their clothing seems to indicate that they became ghouls relatively recently.

Their clothing is of Osirion design.

Knowledge religion DC 12:

These creatures have only been in this state for less than 10 years. Also they are NOT bodies from the crypt way back in the beginning.

The room appears to have once been a comfortable meeting room; however, any items of value or decoration have been viciously destroyed.

Claw marks cover the walls and floor, and carrion smell thickens the air.

among the debris in the room Jeironn finds what appears to be some sort of journal.

opening the journal the first thing to be noticed is a letter that almost falls out when you open it:

"Although with that entrance to that lizardfolk layer, I suppose other people could have gone in an raided the area. Let's just hope they didn't take the treasure, or we're in quite a bit of trouble with all our debt." His voice is completely humorless as he mentions that nasty little surprise.

Lissette was the scorned first wife, wasn't she? Or was she the sister of the elf/half-elf/I don't remember guy who came and fetched us who was later the baron's wife?

After using detect magic and evil to ensure that nothing is missed Conner draws his weapon puts one finger to his lips then uses them to count back from three before opening the door.

going to take ten at a +7 The paladin curses under his breath in celestial "lead of course it's lead, that or this door is much thicker than it looks, but it looks like lead, this seams like a more fortified room, everyone get your weapons out, casters ready your spells and whatnot I'm going to open the door in ten seconds" he then precedes to count back from ten, at the five second mark he stops talking, raises one hand and counts down on his fingers before pulling open the door.

Felix only:

you were unconcious, you have no idea how long nor how it happened. you remember running into a ghoul then you were unable to move, suddenly everything went black.

Now you awaken chained to the floor of a room. approx. 30 feet square. you are in a corner with a metal door to your left, and a a statue of what looks to be a sailor or pirate dressed rather fancy and holding a scroll (the carving is such that the statue appears to be reading teh scroll) in the wall near the statue is another wooden door.

You were awakened by the sounds of talking from the other side of the metal door.

The room you are in, a lush carpet adorns the floor of this ornately decorated room. large bookcases fill two walls and a desk with (unlit) oil lamps in one corner. near the wooden door is a large leather chair.

the only thing that seems totally out of place is the fact that on the "western" wall is a perfect circle burned into the bookcase and wall there. destroying most of the contents of the bookcase.
