Well i already have one done, and working on our cook, making him sober up to he can help out a bit more.

Kilarra:

Rosie, "Well big green they let me keep it when they brought me on board. Dumb bastards, Though I suspect after I threatened to remove Scourge's f!%!ing hand they regretted that descision, been to damn afraid to try though. It's fairly rare to be with out a weapon on a ship like this, but your group was so big they didn't want ye armed. follow?"

She chats for a while and you get the feeling you have indeed made a new friend.

Perception for Slippery 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 She sees you approach.

Slippery Syl, "I know, I know I know... but listen Scourge don't like your group, he says theres to many of you and you are stickin' together to well. He wants us to make your life miserable or we will end up like Magpie. Look, look, i'll i'll try ta stay away from your lot, but I don't think I can give you any help. Maybe if more of the crew was with you things be different. "

Kyran:

A short one!, You fail to impress Conchobhar on this day. Sandara will continue to treat you friendly, She informs you that your group needs to be careful and the officers are the real danger, Although Plugg keepss a simpleton around as a pet, a brute of a man named Owlbear Hartshorn and to avoid him.

Ornotck:

As you notice his sobriety he will nod and agree, through out the day he does drink a bit but stays mostly sober.

Taking your time to search the galley you will discover the following. (Pasting from the book)

The galley is the domain of Ambrose “Fishguts” Kroop, the drunken ship’s cook. The cramped and chaotic kitchen holds two wooden worktables, several wooden cupboards, and two small stoves against the port wall, as well as virtually every cooking utensil imaginable and a frightening array of meat cleavers. A score of chickens and three goats wander freely throughout the chamber; the goats are meant to be caged, but have a distressing tendency to escape their bonds. The kitchen is a madness of dirt, food, and knives, and finding anything in here requires a Perception check. The stoves are perpetually lit, and large cauldrons bubble away atop them all times. A huge array of spices mingle with barrels of rainwater, two tuns of rum, cupboards full of ship’s biscuit and salted beef, barrels of sauerkraut, and a small supply of fresh vegetables picked up in Port Peril. Despite the chaos, the entire galley functions as a set of masterwork tools for Profession (cook) checks.
Several items of value are lost among the ruin and squalor in the galley, each requiring a DC 10 Perception check to discover: a masterwork dagger being used as a butcher’s knife, a pair of handaxes used as meat cleavers, 11 knives, a short sword, a vial of holy water, a good lock hanging unused off a pantry cupboard, 2 pounds of soap, four waterskins, a barrel of poor wine, six bottles of good Chelish brandy worth 20 gp each, three bottles of magnificent rum worth 12 gp each, a large cookbook worth 125 gp (using the tome while cooking grants a +1 circumstance bonus on Profession [cook] checks), a prosthetic leg made of wood and edged with a silver band worth 45 gp, and 12 sp fallen behind a cupboard. In addition, a trio of harpoons, a spear, and Kroop’s steadfast grapple (see page 59) hang on the walls.

For more information on the Steadfast Grapple (A grappling hook of some kind), you get the feeling from its placement that there is something special about it.

As stated earlier that evening Grok will return your whole group's starting gear. She seems to fancy you a lot.

Also Ornotck, or anyone who can get into the Galley (Maybe a rat-catching Wizard could find an escuse to take a look?)

Appraise DC 20:

It is indeed a magical device, worth 5,000 Gp at least.

Spellcraft DC 18:

DESCRIPTION This iron grappling hook is attached to a 50-foot length of silk rope. When a steadfast grapple is thrown, it automatically hits and attaches to any targeted object or structure within range of its rope. Against creatures, the wielder must make attack rolls as normal. Once attached, a steadfast grapple can only be removed with a DC 30 Strength check, the command word, or magic such as dispel magic.

Henk:

Sandara will explain she was kidnapped much like your self, though they allowed her a bit of freedom when it became clear she could keep the crew from drinking themselves to death.

Edeldhur and Lugo:

You two have a pretty uneventful day, You will notice Fipps and Shivikah continue to stair you two down when they get a chance. You notice Conchobhar continue to hit on Rosie with out success. Edeldhur's performance is okay but does not overly impress the crew. And you over hear a rumor that Slippery Syl is on the run from murder charges. Though, Edeldhur hears she killed her brother, and Lugo hears she killed a slavery who tried to capture her. Edeldhur you hear the 'Fishguts" was once a famous chef. And during your day Lugo you will notice a female human walking along the deck, She is radiating magic. If you ask the crew will tell you it's Peppery Longfarthing, the sailing master and a sorceress or witch of some kind.

Other than that no one else learns anything new on this day.

Excited to meet another aboard the ship of the Arcane Arts, Lugo will head over and Speak with Peppery

"Hullo Miss, I Am Lugo Galestorm, a Little Birdy has told me you are also a Member of the Arcane family.. I would be ever so greatful if we coudl find a quiet place to speak about magic that is usefull upon a Sailing vessal."

She looks you up and down, frowns then says, "Back to work Swab." before turning her nose to the air and walking off to the Officer's quarters.

Well then, playing hard to get, just the way I like it

Lugo does as his told, and goes back to chaseing rats

Elf Wizard

Edeldhur has got a SERIOUS problem with authority, maybe even worse than Kilarra, so that might be a bit of a problem

The words from Kilarra bring a distinctive raise to Edldhur's eyebrow - his words are not angered, or even raised, but they are spoken firmly

Well, I have been watching the crew more closely the past day and if I can create an opportunity to gather additional allies in here I will but... For me there are no quotas, I'll give it the best shot I believe possible and that's it. Regarding Scourge, I simply disagree with you - I do not want to argue this becasue it will take us nowhere, however if he crosses my path before yours, then he will be mine and not yours. And regarding making friends, I actually thought I was starting to make some - but I don't take orders from my friends, only advice.

Female Demon-Spawn Tiefling Barbarian 1 / HP: 14 / AC,T,FF: 15, 12, 13 / F+4, R+2, W-1 / Perception +5 / Init +2

Hah! There might be fire in his belly yet, these humans have no drive to get themselves out of their position but Edelhur may be different.

Kilarras eyes gleam with excitement at Edelhurs words. "Ohh, you think you'll get an opportunity afore me? I suppose the race is on. An, you gotta work just as hard as the rest of us. If you can come up with another way to change our situation be my guest. But don't think you're just gonna be able to bellyache and then come out on top with the rest of us who are already fixin' for some changes 'round here. You wanna be friends? Then show your demon friend you're just as committed to saving your ass as she is."

No, this isn't some power-play for captain. She really does feel like theres been too much whining and not enough action. She hopes this will spur the group into trying to accomplish something - and quick. She is not the patient type...

Edeldhur's clenched jaw relaxes visibly upon listening to Kilarra's words, and his posture assumes a relaxed stance

I intend to put in as much effort as any of the others, but maybe it would make sense to start playing on our strengths instead of simply driving forward "making allies" when many of us may not be as adept at it as you may believe. To be honest, I would rather you wouldn't try to make friends at all with any in this crew Kilarra - you are scaring them, not befriending them, and this means that when time comes, it will all boil down to who scares them the most and not who they are closer to. This does not set us apart from Plugg or any of the commanding officers in this ship - we will simply be more of the same, and with as many chances of success as our opponents, though I DO have to admit that you are scarier than most. :D I would rather have Kyran and Lugo handling the carousing, heck maybe even me with my lute, though I have no qualms in admitting I am out of my environment. I would have you taking out key elements, and thinning out their lines, one by one, while they desperately try to understand what is going on, until it is too late.

Edeldhur pauses and stares intently at Kilarra

I will not make an issue out of this, or the fact that I think we should try to make things differently, simply put because we need to DO SOMETHING, and as much as you may try to be aggressive and obnoxious, I DO like you - maybe because of the green skin, maybe because when I greet you I do not know if I will receive a greet back or a bite, maybe because we are thrown into the same situation, or maybe simply because I tend to believe that there is always more than meets the eye. In any case, and because I like actions more than words, I will say only that you can count on me.

Done and dusted, let's GO!

Zzzzzzzz.

The next morning arrives, Sandara will offering a cure light wounds to anyone who needs it, and she prepared a lesser restoration for Kilarra, Lesser Restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 4 constitution damage is repaired (lucky girl!).

You are assigned your daily tasks, no one is assigned to bilges however. Jack Scrimshaw (who also received a lesser restoration) is assigned as Rat catcher. However after several minutes he rushes on to the deck and reports to plug.

DC 10 Perception:

Jack explains to plugg, "Somethin' done bit me down in the bilges! Ain't no regular rat neither!"

Plugg assigns all seven of you to the bilges to clear up whatever is down there. As you filter into the bilges you see the water has puddled up in the middle of the room, something is moving in the mirky water. The bilges are also very hot today.

Whoa. I am at work so I will be spotty during this combat. Henk will stab at anything he can with his harpoon when his turn comes up if you need to bot me.

Henk stab stabs at the rat in C6

Harpoon: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 111d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

If that rat dies before I stab it, just switch me to any rat I can hit.

Oh f%+& that dice roller
