Cole targets the only woman in the room. His first arrow misses, but he really commits with the second, hitting her in the gut. Her sneer turns to shock as she feels her life slipping away. Still, she stands, not quite ready to give up the fight just yet.

Eli steps awkwardly over the fallen tiefling's body, seeking to keep his hammer viable as they engage in such close quarters. He almost reaches for the morningstar, but he opts instead to strike at T6 above Jurin's Beagan's head, wherever it may currently be.

Eli swings his mighty hammer, taking T6 out of the fight immediately. T4 wavers on her feet, but attacks the old man, while T5 closes in to try to end him as well.Unfortunately, neither of them so much as scratch him.

Serra grunts with satisfaction as his ranseur makes quick work of the poorly placed tielfing. Assessing this situation with his soldier's experience and recognizing Cole's need for a shoot lane (and not really willing to put his head in the line of fire), Serra draws his wand and fires it at the woman.

"Khaz-MOOK!"

Map

The magic of Serra's wand flashes like sparks off an angry Hearthstone. The woman, barely clinging to life as it was, falls to the ground and clings no longer. Whatever god she prays to will answer her prayers soon.

Beagan, Grasker, and Cole are up.

Because there is only one Tiefling left, I'm going to fast forward us a bit.

Beagan, Xanthos and Grasker make short work of the remaining Tieflings just as a small but lazy horde of cultists join them from a room down the hall. These also fall before the might of the righteous, dying quickly, which is likely far too good for them.

The companions then stumble into what is obvious barracks, with bedrolls and chests for the Cultists and Tiefling. Unfortunately aside from a few coins, there is not much worth salvaging.

Serra wipes the blood from his ranseur, sweat clouding his brow from the most recent fighting. Serra armor bears the nicks and scratches from the encounter, and he counts the recent fights as some of the more vicious and bloody as he has ever seen.

"Ely, I'm not sure there is anything scarier than your hammer swung in anger. These demon scum cannot stand its might."

Serra pants more, leaning on his ranseur.

"Kastor, lad, I hope you've been paying attention. When we fight together, as one unit, aiding and defending each other, note how the unruly rabble of demons fall easily."


Male Gnome Fallen Paladin 7 / AC 22

Shaken by almost screwing up his prayer, the invisible Beagan hangs onto Xanthos while the mount helps finish the tieflings, indecisively considering whether to add fire or a poisonous dagger to the fray, before settling on the short blade (and become visible once again).

Once the combat is over, he'll retrieve his nasty bastard sword from the ground.

"Yikes, Eli, they surrounded you, and were stabbing rather deeply. I don't like it when that happens. But I do like it when you swing that hammer!"


Serra:
The boy nods, then peeks around the corner. "Maybe we should, as one unit, go look into these rooms for more demony things?"

After everyone is healed, Serra will make his way to the north door.

"We should go this way. Let's get into position...Ely...I'll swing it open, you and Beagan charge in. Cole? Let your arrows fly!"

Serra enters his soldiers stance and prepares to open the door.

The Gnome, rather embarrassed by his disappearing act, snaps to attention. "Aye, aye, Ser Serra!"

He draws his sword, ready on Xanthos' back.

As he sees the bodies, he enters carefully, looking around for whatever caused the holes.

Beagan boggles at the strange sight and calls out to the creature, but whatever he said is lost beneath the fury of Xanthos' missed attacks. One claw does seem to graze it,but does no damage to it all.

Serra let's loose with his wand, doing plenty of damage to the winged beast.

From down the hall, the sound of hooves scuff the floor. A flash of a nasty, saliva covered Ranseur flashes into the room at Grasker.

Xanthos has no pity for the poor creature, biting and clawing at it with plenty of force. Beagan too strikes it. So hard do they attack that some of Wolfbunny's (as opposed to the Goatwulfbird) attacks bring a squawk from the creature. Grasker's stolen shadow stops struggling for a second as the creature deals with the pain. Beagan's sword, however hard it strikes, it doesn't seem to make it through it's filth encrusted hide, though.
