Nice move, Kyras.

Well, Pelius moves 5ft to cast invisibility, then uses his left movement to get behind Antonius (25ft)

Not sure if this works this way, if not, just the 5ft and the spell.

5'step and spell works. Once you've spent a 5ft. step, that's it for your movement on that round, unless you have a special ability that lets you move more.

Quick Runner's shirst, for example, can be activated after taking a 5ft. step.

I'll relocate to correct position then.

I think the ability would force a reroll, of the original attack rolls, since its technically different than a confirmation roll. Which is what I thought would happen :P but if you want to rule Nat 20s can't be messed with that's fine to me as well. Ha-ha.

I did reroll the attack. That's why he wasn't crit'ed - an 18 would be more than enough to confirm a crit on Pelius.

Anyway, immediate actions sit in a wierd place in pbp. At a table, you'd use the ability after the 20 was rolled, not after all the effects of the attack was figured out.

Yeah, I took it planning to use the aggressive version more often, or the one that simply boosts my AC by +4. But I figured stopping a crit into possibly a miss would be a good use of it as well. Also my apologies on the name mix up

Sorry for the confusion. In the future, would you rather have surprise rounds listed as "surprise round" or "round 1"?

Crazy busy at work, may not be able to post. Antonius will want to investigate the hobgoblin camp that Kyras had stumbled upon before we continue on to town.

Missed that Pelius was investigating the farmhouse. Edited in a response.

As the idea was that Pelius is the one for the paperwork, I'm going to add a blank book to the initial equipment, as I somehow forgot about getting one. If you don't mind, of course.

If we can check the magic items now:

Spellcraft rolls:

the paper: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
masterwork suits of armor 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
masterwork suits of armor 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
glaive: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

If we rush, then take the rolls for later, if appropiate.

It'll take a few minutes of your time, but sure. The arms and breastplate are +1 each, while you're not certain of the banded mail. And Inara has already deciphered the scroll in the IC.

Can you speak goblin? (I can) I had figured he would not come to for a few minutes, and I think the camp is within shouting distance, if not closer.

I can help with searching the camp, if we're going to split up.

If someone need assistance or healing, just ask Pelius, his patron Asmodeus is a very agreeable guy.

Jokes aside, this ambush took several resources from us, and two of us barely went down. Not bad for a starter.

I assumed that the cleric spoke common because Inara identified his spell before. But yeah, it doesn't have to be common for her to do that. You know what they say about assumptions...

I do hope he speaks it. Waste of a 20 otherwise. :(

Note, I'm not sure if Kyras would know he is a priest of asmodoean, but would likely figure a "bad" diety after the negative energy channels.

If it isn't an obscure deity, I'd say recognizing the faith of a holy symbol is a dc 15 religion trait. Pelius has certainly been brandishing his enough for you to spot it, what with all that channeling.

Male Human (Taldan) Fighter (armor master) 5/inquisitor of Abadar 5 Lvl 5| HP: 52| AC: 26; T: 14; FF: 24: DR 3/-; Longswoord +11, 1d8+7 CMB +9; CMD 22 | Fort: +8; Ref: +4; Will: +8 (+2 vs Charm and compulsion)| Perception: +11 | Init +5

"Panzer" is a bit vary of a cleric that follow Asmodeus (taking 10 in the Know. Religion skill check result is 16) but his deity is Abadar, LN, and one of his deity main goal is the protection of civilization, a goal that will be shared by the Asmodean cult.
And he is intrigued by Pelious ability to both harm and heal when channeling energy.

Everyone that was in the battle know that he is a follower of Abadar, he has said that in an attempt to draw the hobgoblin cleric attention.

Kyras, you are a level 4 inquisitor. you heal 1d8+4 with CLW, not 1d8+1.

Out of curiosity, you have the bane ability or you have traded it away?
Using that on the shotgun blast ... :-)
It would be fun for us and hurtful to the enemies.

to The Dragon. We have commonplace guns so they are a martial weapon and Johannes, as a thither, know how to use them, right?

A wand has its own caster level, its alot more expensive for higher CL wands.

I'll get bane once I hit inquistor 5, (as well as getting 2nd judgement) so my full self buff would look like- divine favor, +2/+2, judgement +3damage, bane, +2+2d6. On top of the 11 :P

Kyras also has a very big reason to dislike and distrust faithful of asmodoeus.

Same words from Johannes, but with a very different bent.

It will be an interesting trek to Fort Westwatch.

Johannes will discuss religious matters with Pelius as he feel that the vision of how a civilization should be built has strong similarities and equally strong dissimilarities between the two faiths and that Pelius and Johannes interpretation of theirs faith tenets isn't the most standard too.
He will discuss with Kyras too, if he is interested and willing.

With Dragon authorization we can say that we have dropped the stuff of the ambusher in the house, if we have the chance we can return at a later date to recover it and repair them the armor with mending, they can be useful if we ever get to train a garrison for Vraath Keep

With only my horse and mule to move the 2 wounded prisoners and the loot, I suppose we abandon all the heavy stuff, even if abandoning the wine pain me (and I suppose the Caydenite inquisitor).

Someone has a bag of holding or something similar?

- * -

For the current and future division of the loot, my suggestions:

- Mundane stuff and ammunitions are free to take for anyone that want them, as long as no one hoard all of them.
- special stuff and expendables (scrolls, potions, etc.) are taken as group items and given out at whoever need/can use them
- spellbooks are copied for free (the ink is your expense) and then sold (unless there is something in them that we don't want to spread around), same for scroll (minus the "then sell" part)
- other gear will be appraised, we make a grad total of its worth and each of us get a equal share of that. With your share you can "buy" the items we found at selling price (i.e. you pay the same money we would get selling them at an outsider). If the item value is higher than your share you can compensate with your money or be in debit for the next loot division.
- if we ever get to train a garrison for Vraath Keep some stuff can become useful for them. What go to the garrison should count as group gear.

Is that ok for you? Comments?

I should have posted something similar in the gameplay section as defining loot division rules is very appropriate for a inquisitor of Abadar, but I think some of the discussion will be about OOC and don't want to slow down that thread.

This looks ok to me.

The guide to andor intereses Pelius, as any bit of knowledge available.
I'll put it IC when apropiate.
