Sharing a look with Sienna signaling her readiness, Sādhanā cleanly severs the spawns head from it's body.

Female Tiefling Sorcerer 13; Mythic Tier 3rd (Archmage) HP: 92/92; AC: 21, T: 14, FF: 17; Fort: +8, Ref: +10, Will: +10, Init: +12, Perception: +11

Sienna douses the head in holy water. "Alright, let's take a look at that last mausoleum."

Ylrhea nods and heads over to the doors of the large mausoleum. Expecting a trap, she takes her time inspecting.

Take 20 for a 36. 42 if there's a trap.

Ylrhea determines the doors are locked and trapped with magic.

Female Gnome Rogue 13; Mythic Tier 3rd (Trickster) HP: 115/115; AC: 26, FF: 19, T: 17; Fort: +8, Ref: +16, Will +7 (+4 vs fear); Perception: +19; Init: +8

Ylrhea informs the group of what she discovered. "I can try to disarm it."

Celia steps forward to rest a hand on Ylrhea's shoulder whispering a prayer. "A little extra guidance never hurts." she says moving backward.

Cast Guidance +1 on one attack roll, saving throw, or skill check.

Female Gnome Rogue 13; Mythic Tier 3rd (Trickster) HP: 115/115; AC: 26, FF: 19, T: 17; Fort: +8, Ref: +16, Will +7 (+4 vs fear); Perception: +19; Init: +8

Ylrhea nods and gets to work.

Ylrhea manages to disable the trap and unlock the door. The doors swing open on their own revealing an ornate mausoleum. The walls are decorated with several stone reliefs and an imposing statue of a knight protecting a maiden occupies the center of the main room. You also see several niches under the reliefs, occupied by small clay urns. The mausoleum is lit by several standing candelabras, the candles sputtering as the outside air hits them. Toward the back, you see a raised platform, but it is empty. There is an iron door behind the platform.

Female Gnome Rogue 13; Mythic Tier 3rd (Trickster) HP: 115/115; AC: 26, FF: 19, T: 17; Fort: +8, Ref: +16, Will +7 (+4 vs fear); Perception: +19; Init: +8

"Anyone want to check for magical mojo?" the rogue asks.

Nodding, Sādhanā shifts her gaze into the magical spectrum, slowly scanning the room.

Detect Magic

The statues glows brightly as Sādhanā looks over the room.

The statue appears to be part of a ritual, however, it is not arcane in nature.

"While investigating where our enemies might have gone is helpful, perhaps we should return our focus to the golem that will probably try to kill us again once it's reformed," Magestreia points out.

Did the golem have shard bits in it as well?

The golem is all shard.

Sadhana can't quite put her finger on what the statue's significance is.

Celia peers into the room noting the statues and the dark rituals that may have taken place within.

"I'm going to take out the golem, I'll be right back!" the magus says, dashing back to cleave the shard remnant with Oblivion

Celia is as puzzled as Sadhana. The reforming golem explodes in a brilliant light and the magus sees a vision of several figures that look much like Thanagros, the Predecessor. A small brass object falls from where the golem was.

Oblivion:
"Wel that isn't good.....given how powerful Thanagros was, more of them would definitely be a bad thing."

Shaking off the now familiar disorientation that came with the shard visions, Sādhanā bends down to inspect the object released by the exploding golem.

Cyna is stumped by the statue as well. The ranger notices that this mausoleum is immaculately clean.

The brass object looks like a key of sorts.

Wisdom check, Sadhana.

I really hate to say this...but I think we would need someone like Michael to figure this one out. Maybe him and Ulli to figure out the religious significance...or something like that if you guys really want to know what it all means. I think it's beyond our understanding though. Douche bag already got away though...so I don't think there's much more here than you can actually do.

I've been reading old thread all day long. Maybe it's one of the reasons I'm so tired. I'm up to the part that we got the kids back to the bath house and then Drago came running out of the room screaming about a summoner that needed to be saved. I tell you...it's just like a good book that you like to re read....sometimes several times. But I keep finding stuff that we forgot about and it reminds me of stuff....like people yelling at me for no good reason.

That whole place is made out of one gigantic shard though...so I don't know if you could destroy the whole thing or not, or if you've already destroyed the most important part of it...I just don't know. The whole thing is pretty confusing to me to say the least.

"I'll keep this safe for now. We may need to take it to Brother Ulli to have a look at. The significance is a little outside my area of expertise." Sādhanā says after studying the object for a bit. "I'm thinking to destroy as much of the shard materials as I can for now, the tombstones and the other stuff, maybe consecrate the area should that ghost return then head back for now and come back later to finish up here once we've hat time to research or prepare. Maybe with someone who would understand this stuff better, and thoughts?"

Moving into the room, Celia begins to cast an intricate ritual, consecrating the area in the name of the forces of good, loosening evil's hold.

Cast Consecrate. This spell blesses an area with positive energy. The DC to resist positive channeled energy within this area gains a +3 sacred bonus. Every undead creature entering a consecrated area suffers minor disruption, suffering a -1 penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves. Undead cannot be created within or summoned into a consecrated area. If the consecrated area contains an altar, shrine, or other permanent fixture dedicated to your deity, pantheon, or aligned higher power, the modifiers given above are doubled (+6 sacred bonus to positive channeled energy DCs, -2 penalties for undead in the area).

You cannot consecrate an area with a similar fixture of a deity other than your own patron. Instead, the consecrate spell curses the area, cutting off its connection with the associated deity or power. This secondary function, if used, does not also grant the bonuses and penalties relating to undead, as given above.

With a solemn nod, Sādhanā begins to destroy as much of the shard material as possible, striking the gravestones and other key items with Oblivion.

The walls seem to absorb Celia's spell and the urns rattle before shattering on the ground, spreading ashes everywhere. Unholy moans fill the mausoleum as Sadhana starts tearing the structures apart. Brilliant flashes of light fill the underground area as the Consecrate spell is disperse over the area. Soon, you feel the floor rumbling beneath you.

The ground gives way to a sinkhole which greedily consumes whatever is left from the magus' destructive rampage. The statue, which was not made from the shard, tumbles into the yawning abyss below. You can hear a monstrous growl as two flaming green orbs suddenly appear in the darkness, but your attention is soon turned to the fact that the floor is disappearing much faster than you can move.

DC 30 Reflex Saves to get to stable ground or fly if you can.
