Shadow Lodge

Eddric climbs the mound and claims the sword. It will need a new scabbard as the one is is has rotted away badly.

This a a Golden bastard sword. It has the fragile property so don't roll a one. Otherwise it it's the same as a normal bastard sword.

What now folks?

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

"Well.... No signs of mites yet. Let's continue on."

Male Human Fighter

"agreed," Eddric remounts his horse with his golden sword sheathed as main weapon.

Shadow Lodge

The company continues for the rest of the day and makes camp that night.

Everyone roll perception.

Audrey's perception 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Male Human Fighter

Eddric looks perceptively into the night sky. 1d20 ⇒ 8

Male Human Fighter

OOC: I'll keep watch on the sky.

Shadow Lodge

About 20 minutes after the others have fallen asleep...

Wraith:

You are being watched. The presence is close, and HUGE! How could it have been so quiet to get so close!?

You have a move or a standard action and you can say up to 14 words.

Male Human Fighter

BTW: Sleeping without armor on.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Always awake, Wraith notices a presence and notches an arrow to his bow. "Halt. Who goes there? Make your presence known."

Does my having darkvision help at all here?

Shadow Lodge

I got you brah! Never fear. Well, fear a lot actually.

Three hulking humanoids cloaked in ragged cloth limp forward, their malformed, tumorous arms ending in claws the length of scythe blades. From beneath their rags droop lengths of loose flesh and a strangled wheezing issues from their deformed lips.

Initiatives:

TEAM PC
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
1d20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 2 - 1 = 14
1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 - 1 = 5
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Average=6.25

Team Gross
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Average=6.66

All three of these giants move to surround Wraith. Two of them try to grab him!

Grapple 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Grapple 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

...but both are unable to do so.

So, Wraith is awake. Everyone else is asleep. Wraith is threatened on all sides by the large creatures (who are WAY too quiet for their size). You guys are up.

Male Human Fighter

Can I make a perception to see if Wraith's talking wakes me up during his first round? If not, whats a good way to wake up!

Tonight the awkward dream reoccurred, thousands of unicorns all attacking him backed by an array of violent flowers. The pink and blue blend of combat was to much for him, again and again the makeshift ponies assaulted the knight. It was his nightmare!

Shadow Lodge

Perception DC 5, but you roll at a -10 for sleep.

Eddric's Perception 1d20 - 10 ⇒ (11) - 10 = 1

Eddric does not wake this round.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Perception 1d20 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (6) + 7 - 10 = 3

I think I rolled this right.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

"To ARMS men! GET UP!" Wraith yells to the sleeping fools.

5 ft step to not be surrounded, drops the bow, and front kicks one in the groin. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 191d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Male Human Fighter

1d20 - 10 ⇒ (15) - 10 = 5
Eddric wakes, and it one quick motion he readies his sword and stands.

Move action to stand with the sword, Ready an attack if either were to approach.

Shadow Lodge

All attack on David

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

True to his training, Wraith dodges most attacks, but one claw rakes across his chest. 4 damage

After their savage assault, the giants spy Eddric rising. One of them lashes out against the knight.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 for 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

7 damage

A horrible gash weeps blood from the Knight's chest.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Perception 1d20 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (1) + 7 - 10 = -2

The thief snuggles down deeper into his bedroll mumbling; "Shnns, mbb quitr."

Male Human Fighter

Eddric enraged by the creatures action swings with all his might.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 272d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12
{ooc} @ Wraith's target.

Shadow Lodge

Eddric slays one of the creatures.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

"WAKE UP THIEF!" Wraith hollers again as he turns to kick another giant creature in the groin. Perfect Strike 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Male Human Fighter

Ryan? I think you next bro.... Let me axe david, Day Whatchya do SONNNN, R-MONEY be neckt Aight?

-New character Idea!

Shadow Lodge

Wraith crushes another giant testicle and brings forth a bellow of rage from the giant.

The giants shout a few words in a guttural language and withdraw.

They're gone unless you plan to chase.

Male Human Fighter

Eddric chases after the creatures sword in hand.

We need to send the awkward creatures of the forest a lesson. I say we chase and use there bodies! I do imagine however they are much faster then the small two legged man that chases. The thought that they may or may not have valuable loot has no thought in Eddric's decision to chase.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Perception 1d20 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 10 = 0

Anga rolls over and continues chasing dream women.

Shadow Lodge

Anga wakes.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

And the chase is on! Wraith swoops down to pick up his bow and aims to fire.

Not sure if I can fire, here's the attack roll if I can. W/ Point Blank Shot 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Male Human Fighter

I am curious as to their initial action, did they withdraw or run? Is withdraw x2 run speed can I charge them? And can we even catch them.

Shadow Lodge

You cannot charge because you cannot see. It is too dark. They withdrew at x2 speed in different directions. You could go after both but you have to split up. Roll Wisdom checks.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Darkvision. Can I point to Sir Eddric where one went to make it easier for him??

Shadow Lodge

Yes, but he still cannot charge. MAKE WISDOM CHECKS.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Anga raises a bleary eyed head from his spot on the ground. He barely sees as his two companions move with violence in their eyes. Starting to wake up he rolls to his feet and instantly has blades in his hands.
Draw two daggers.
Seeing the blood on the ground and the state of disarray the near-by foliage is in, the thief surmises that something happened while he slumbered. He pauses sniffing the air while he determines his next move.

Wisdom 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (17) + 0 = 17

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Wisdom 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Male Human Fighter

1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11

Shadow Lodge

3 creatures of that size having snuck up on a being that does not sleep are clearly wiley. Maybe chasing them through the woods in the dark is a poor choice? There is a really good chance that there are traps out there.

Male Human Fighter

If i had a dollar for every time I heard that, I'd have to count. I say we chase one down David leads.

Shadow Lodge

Perception checks before we chase the thing...

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 I don't think we should chase since they DID someone sneak up on me while I was WIDE AWAKE WITH PERCEPTION 10.

Male Human Fighter

Pus....Suffer not the work of a heretic to live

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Still not entirely sure what's going on, Anga looks into the shadows around the camp to see if he can spot what the knight is chasing after.

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Shadow Lodge

Stealth 1d20 + 12 - 10 ⇒ (17) + 12 - 10 = 19

Bleary eyed Anga cannot spot what the ruckus is about, but Wraith spots one of the giants and tears after him with Eddric right on his heels.

I need 3 reflex saves, 2 acrobatics checks, 1 strength check, and 1 CMB check from Wraith and Eddric.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8, 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17, 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Male Human Fighter

Reflex=1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 141d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 211d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Acrobatic=1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 71d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Strength= 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

CMD=1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

.... I may have missed the CMB roll. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Shadow Lodge

The giant creature is surprising lythe. He runs past trees and shrubs, sending branches whipping at your faces. You are both able to dodge all three.

The creature strides easily across a thin stream but the two man-sized people are forced to jump. Wraith clears the stream easily, but Eddric face-plants into the cold water.

Wraith powers on, intent on catching the beast. Not much farther, the giant give a quick hop. Coming up on the spot, Wrait spots a trip line at his waist level. He tries to jump it but catches his ankles instead, and whips his face into the soft ground.

1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Non-lethal damage

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Spluttering mud out of his mouth, Wraith picks himself up and dusts himself off watching the beast vanish into the distance. Backtracking, he Wraith finds Eddric. "Looks like it out ran us. A man should return to camp and check on the sleepy thief."

Male Human Fighter

Who is taking the non-lethal.

"The goal may not have been to catch the creature, though it would be nice. It was to teach yet another creature that we are to be feared. Eventually, the beasts of this land will avoid us like the plague or they will be without mates." Eddric states to Wraith after he picks himself up from the cold water.

How soaked is Eddric?

Shadow Lodge

Wrait took the damage, Eddirc is soaked completely.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Wraith laughed. "Indeed, fear the soaking human and the tiefling with mud on his face, and the thief who sleeps through everything. Wish we had our wizard," he said as the trudged back to the camp.
