Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Wraith stops his assault to pitch in. "Clan ixen ternocki! wux re abhlek janikup. shar mrith yth drong hoinpic lae dout thurirli, dout clan geou qe kiarf throdenilt versel. rimem ixen spical nishka tepoha wer durlas ihk wer celaetril ui|ulph houpe!"

Draconic:
Clan Fire Scales! You are indeed mighty. But with we long legs as your friends, your clan will be much more powerful. Chief Fire Back shall have the credit for the boar's hide!

Male Feraweni Wizard

"axun, wer ir ini wer revin. si vinxa. halkvri yth tafiaf tenamalo."

Draconic:
Yes, the one by the street. I thank you. Until we meet again.

Sense Motive 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20, to determine if they intend to attack the trading post.
Thaegrin nods a half bow and begins to slowly walk backward toward his horse. 15 feet at half speed so I don't trip and fall on my ass.

Shadow Lodge

Thaegrin believes that the Kobold will deliver the message as you stated it.

Shadow Lodge

Combat over!

Male Feraweni Wizard

Thaegrin mounts his horse and waits for the kobolds to depart. When they are a safe distance away, he looks to his companions. "Shall we? I would like to conclude this business of abandoned gold."

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Anga mounts back up and gestures to the others he is ready.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

"Let us continue on." Wraith dusted himself off, slung his bow over his shoulder and went to find his horse.

Male Human Fighter

"So someone should explain what just happened while we continue."

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

The thief rolls his eyes as he urges his horse forwards. "It seemed plainly obvious to me that ser Grand Wizard negotiated a temporary peace with the wee dragons."

Male Feraweni Wizard

Thaegrin harrumphs and begins recounting the conversation verbatim as the party continues on horseback.
Read the spoilers, I'm not literally retelling the entire exchange.

"In summation," the wizard concludes, "The kobolds interest me. Despite their lack of physical might, I sense a certain cunning about them. I've read of them to be creatures that keep their word, and if we arrange for some kind of treaty with their kind, we could easily have kobold warriors to defend a mutual interest. This, and they do not shy away from disreputable acts."

With his last sentence, Thaegrin meets the eye of the thief, then the knight.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Facion grins then shrugs and turns back to his riding.

Shadow Lodge

I'll post again when I get home. I don't have the book with me to tell you what you find.

Shadow Lodge

Upon entering the camp you all spot a humanoid figure under a dark cloak with the hood pulled up over its face. It seems to be waiting for you.

What do you do?

Male Feraweni Wizard

Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21, to spot any hidden attackers or a trap.
Thaegrin dismounts (at sixty-five feet away) and mutters to the archer. "Be ready. I do not like this."

He raises his voice to cloaked figure. "State your name and purpose."

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Anga cocks his head to one side, thinking he heard something.
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
He makes a grab for the wizards horse and leads both beasts to the left.

So 65 feet from stranger, and 20 feet left of party.

Shadow Lodge

Both of you notice a smaller shape in the tree beside the figure with the cloak, it appears to be armed with a crossbow.

The hooded figure walks forward 25 feet and a deep, raspy voice slithers toward you from under the cowl.

"You could not hope to pronounce my name, elf. I am here to defend this site from unauthorized persons. It is time for you to leave."

Male Feraweni Wizard

"Oh? I was not aware that I was unauthorized. By whose authority do you command?"

Shadow Lodge

"I command nothing. I serve to bar unauthorized access to this grove. It is time for you to leave. I won't say it again."

He pulls back the fold of his cloak just enough to see the sword in his hand.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Anga dismounts and ties the two horses up to a nearby tree.
"Gah, why is it everyone wants to fight? When will you people learn?" The thief walks up next to Thaegrin. "But honestly, I believe this is just a misunderstanding, I think we're on the same side." He pulls his rapier out from under his cloak and drops his voice into a low rumble. A sound akin to steal drawn across granite. "You see? We are the same you and I, cloaks and blades and friends hiding with bows." He sets his jaw, his mouth a thin line neither turned up, nor down. "I can understand your confusion, seeing as I was sent here to bar unauthorized access. Do not worry, all will be forgiven, but I am afraid you'll have to leave now. As you are not on the list."

Bluff 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Now that he's closer to Anga he'll try to identify anything he notices/recognizes.

Knowledge (Local) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Shadow Lodge

"I see. Show me the seal of your office, and I will go."

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Wraith gets off the damned horse and melts back into the trees with his bow out, ready to strike.

Male Human Fighter

Dismounting Eddric and walks to the side of Anga. Is it unreasonable that we might exchange questions for answers. Obviously, Were both trying to rid this groove of the bandits that seek to enslave the frontiersmen around here. Eddric smiles,Were both good men here lets talk.

diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Shadow Lodge

"I assure you knight, I am no 'good man,' and what makes you think I want to be rid of bandits? Now leave."

Male Feraweni Wizard

Thaegrin's gaze wanders from tree to tree around the grove before returning to the cloaked creature.
"Please do not mistake my questions as uncooperative, I only seek to better understand. Could you tell me what is important about this grove, that its access must be so selective?"

Sense Motive 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21, I want to know how hostile he seems, more specifically, if casting Detect Magic would cause them to attack us.
DERPlomacy to aid Eddric's roll (allowed?) 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

His voice still low as thunder Facion replies, "My seal? Of course." Walking forward with firm calculated steps he closes the distance till he is a mere ten feet from the being. His left hand digging underneath his cloak, Anga takes a moment to examine the figures sword hand.
I'm trying to determine if he looks human or not.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Shadow Lodge

He nods to Thaegrin and is about to speak when Anga starts forward.

"No further half-elf." He says this when you are 20 feest away. Do you press forward?

He seems to hope for a fight, but also seems unwilling to start it. He is waiting for one of you to do something that will allow him to attack.

He seems to be human.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Anga stops, then slowly advances. "You were the one who requested proof." Like quicksilver across velvet does the thief approach, moving at the speed of a glacier. The timbre of his voice never changes, but subtly his intonation takes on a soothing undertone. A hint of threat lies waiting, audible only to those born to such ways. "I offer it now. But I will come no further, you must close the distance if proof of my station is truely what you want." With this Facion stops ten feet from his challenger. With great patience his left hand comes forward holding an object, still in the shadow of his cloak it's impossible to discern what it is.

It's a dagger, depending on how he responds I intend to have a thrown weapon attack readied if he becomes violent, or a bluff check if he wants to keep talking. Can I do that?

Initiative if I need it. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

Shadow Lodge

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Initiatives for the rest.
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Average=8.25

"I told you no closer!" The man flicks his shoulders and cloak and hood peel back to reveal an armored human-like creature wield a great and terrible jagged sword: a glowing runic sigil blazing on his forehead.

Anga is up. Your thrown attack triggers.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

"Here is my badge of office!" Anga produces a razor-bladed dagger from the folds of his cloak, with a snap of his wrist it flies through the air,

Dagger Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Dagger Dmg 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Shadow Lodge

The man sweeps the dagger aside with the flat of his blade and moves up to Anga.

"You should have left!"

He raises the sword and brings it down.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 for 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 5) + 6 = 16

A blow that would easily have split the thief collar bone to hip is thrown aside by a flash of his rapier.

A bolt whistles out of the trees at Anga...

Crossbow into Melee 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 for 1d6 ⇒ 6

...but it sails wide.

Suddenly, leaves explode off branches as a small shape leaps from the tree an rolls.

Acrobatics 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 The gnome has the same glowing runic sigil on his forehead, he is 30 feet behind the human-creature.

The rest of you can go now :P

Female Fetchling Oracle 1

Audrey dismounts and pulls the long-spear off her back.

Male Feraweni Wizard

Thaegrin extends his hand and a flickering, silvery ray makes a line toward the human-creature's face. As he does so, his other hand retrieves a scroll of Mage Armor.
Blinding Ray. Ranged touch attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11, causes creatures to be blinded for 1 round. Creatures with more HD than your wizard level are dazzled for 1 round instead.
Knowledge (arcana) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 to figure out what the glowing rune means. Or is it Spellcraft?

Shadow Lodge

Thaegrin:

The creature is dazzled. The rune is a bond between two creatures of different planes. These two foes: one is the summoned and the other the summoner, but which is which?

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

"Glad a man had his arrows ready." Wraith concentrated and fired off two quick arrows. I'll never understand why my masters were so fixated on the wisdom of form. If I can fire this quickly because of nimble fingers, why concentrate on proper form...

Crunch:
Flurry of Bows (haha get it? instead of blows?)
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 131d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 31d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Shadow Lodge

Two arrows miss wide.

Male Human Fighter

Eddric charges the small figure.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15

Shadow Lodge

You may charge the small figure, but you provoke an AoO from the bigger one. Do you wish to change your action?

Male Human Fighter

Charge the big guy then, also chargin so + 2 to that roll (ac - 2)

Shadow Lodge

So I emailed the stats for this fight to myself, but they're corrupted. It'll be a while before I can post. Sorry guys.

Shadow Lodge

Sir Eddric's mighty charge slams through the creatures defenses and opens a terrible wound and sends the man reeling.

Great hit! Anga is up.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Deflecting the descending blow Anga lets out a bark of a laugh. "Best be careful, I hear these things are sharp!" He leans back as the Knight barrels into their assailant. Taking advantage of the diversion, Facion jumps and rolls around the hulking man-thing.

Move around enemy to be opposite Eddric, flanking?
Acrobatics to avoid AoO 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Is it possible to get a contextual bonus to avoiding the AoO since I'm trying to do it right as Eddric hit the enemy?

Rising to his feet now behind wounded creatureman the Thief smiles as he brings his arm around in a wicked slash at the warriors neck,

Rapier Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Rapier Dmg 1d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + 1 = 8
Sneak Attack Bonus 1d6 ⇒ 1

In his haste he misjudges his opponents height and his blade swings low.

Damn...

Shadow Lodge

The creature sees an opening in Anga's defenses, but the somersault by the half-elf coupled with the steel of the knight, he decides better of the attempt.

The man withdraws behind the gnomish creature, drawing a small vial as he goes. The little gnome takes it and pour it down the big creature's throat.

1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Instantly, the man looks revitalized.

OK, all four of you go now.

Male Human Fighter

Hold up, I think Anga would get an AoO here. Only if Anga is really behind the guy though. I'll go into more detail if needed but here's why;

D20PFSRD.ORG wrote:
If, during the process of withdrawing, you move out of a threatened square (other than the one you started in), enemies get attacks of opportunity as normal.

Shadow Lodge

That is correct. The move still stands unless Anga can floor him here.

Anga's AoO 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 for 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Anga's blade is unable to find purchase.

IN other news: Anga there are some miscalculations on your sheet. You have it as +2 damage with your weapons but you strength bonus is only +1. I added in the extra damage for flanking from you dirty fighter feat above, but you can't always count it so be mindful there. Infact, It would be better if you rolled them separate i.e. 1d20+1+1 if you are flanking, that way, if a creature is immune to flank, I'll remember.

Also, you rolling you attack at +2, how is that? again your strength is +1 and you do not have weapon finesse or focus, nor do you have a masterwork weapon. Please calculate you to hit bonuses and add them to your profile. Thanks.

The party still has the initiative.

Male Human Fighter

Eddric charges the gnome.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13

I forgetting the +2 -2

Shadow Lodge

The knight is a blacksmith at his forge: beating the anvil until the steel yields the desired finish. Alas, the gnome is untempered and slides away from the blow.

Male Tiefling Zen Archer Monk

Wraith fires two more arrows at the revitalized warrior.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 31d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 41d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

I'm gonna miss everything forever.

Male Feraweni Wizard

Pale blue smoke begins to pour from Thaegrin's ring. He lets it gather into his free hand, and his fingers begin to design a smoky glyph in the air. Once finished, he booms, "Eagle!"
Used bonded item spell slot to cast Summon Monster 1. Creature will appear next round.
Thaegrin watches for a reaction from either foe, one that might tell which of them can also summon a creature.
Sense Motive 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Also, can I get a recap on everyone's position? Thanks.

Shadow Lodge

Neither seems to notice the gesture as they are being pressed by Anga and Eddric.

At the back is the human-creature and five feet ahead of him is the gnome. 10 feet from there is Anga. Diagonal 10 feet to the left from there is Eddric. Behind 20 are the rest of you.

Male Half-Feraweni Rogue

Anga gives chase to the Knight and the creature. He stops next to his companion and makes a lunging stab at the little gnome.

If I flank the gnome, that'll put me in range of both enemies immediately?

Rapier Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Rapier Dmg 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

On his way forward Facion takes a moment to take note of his surroundings, trying to find anything that would give him a tactical advantage.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Man! What is up with all these terrible rolls!?
