Atajinn moves away from the gnolls.

Eek! Too close for comfort.

Double Move - 40' West. Spending 1 Arcane Reservoir point to activate Dimensional Slide exploit for an additional 50' teleport at the end of this movement.

Atajinn suddenly finds himself in the darkness behind a tree in some bushes.

Stealth:
Stealth: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (7) + 26 = 33

Dark Archive

A shout comes from the darkness to the Northwest.

Kuthamanga iwo pansi!

Gnoll:
Run them down!

The sound of an arrows release can be heard, it streaks into the cover which Wilheim is hiding behind. The arrow strikes home, Wilheim grunts from the impact.

First Attack Crit 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 12 - 4 = 25
First Attack Damage 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 3) + 16 = 25

A series of laughter like yipes follow from the pit as the second group of gnolls begins to ascend into the fray.

Wilheim, take your shot. One of the gnolls has moved 35 ft. to within 20 ft. of you and is continuing towards Kaaras.

Wilheim leans out from around the three and launches a bomb at the approaching gnoll.

Acid Damage on hit:
3d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 4, 2) + 5 = 13

The first gnoll out of the pit screams in pain as it is covered is boiling acid. The other two come up out and skirt around their commrade as he falls and lies still. They are in range to start engaging with the party and they hoot in anticipation.

Amuna awiri, awiri chakudya.

Gnoll:
Two men, two meals.

The gnolls split up a bit. One steps up to Wilheim and the other approaches Kaaras.

The half-orc steps out of the way and moves up behind Wilhiem, staying out of reach from the gnolls.

"I have you, my friend! Stand tall!"

Kaaras reaches out and places a hand upon the alchemist's shoulder. The druid's hand begins to glow with a green energy!

Kaaras casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Wilhiem.

Cure Moderate Wounds:
4d8 + 10 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 8) + 10 = 29

I have been informed I was looking at the wrong spell and the total hp Wilhiem recieves is 15

The Exchange

Male Gnome Psychic (Amnesiac)/2

Atajinn takes a quick look around to see a rather large looking gnoll with a big bow.

Free Action - Knowledge local to identify this gnoll. A proper name if possible.

Knowledge Local:
Knowledge Local: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

He quickly pulls out his spellbook, places it on the ground gently and sits down in the bushes to read.

Full-Round Action - Spending 1 Arcane Reservoir point to activate Quick Study exploit. Replacing prepped 2nd lvl spell False Life with 2nd lvl spell Alter Self.

Dark Archive

Dahrani and Kaepora drop another gnoll and Adaar tightens his coils around the scorpion and bites hard across it's head.

Giant Scorpion Save:
Fortitude 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

The scorpion's shell cracks loudly and caves. The scorpion's body sags as it's blood pools below it.

Atajinn:
Knowledge Local - The leader of the gnolls is what is known as a flind. These are elite gnolls, rarely born, by highly revered within the tribes. They also traditionally wield a unique weapon known as a flindbar, similar to nunchaku but spiked and madeof metal.
While this flind is unknown to you specifically, and the markings he and his men wear are not familiar, you have heard rumor of a tribe of gnolls that employs scropions. Known as the Al'Chorhhaiv tribe, they are currently led by a female gnoll named Ahrikvask, who they say is immune to all forms of venom.

Dark Archive

Zitsiru! Iwo zofewa!

Gnoll:
Fools! They are soft!

The leader shouts to his companions. Two more arrows are let loose, this time at Adaar as the scorpions body goes limp and Kaaras among the trees.

Flind Attack:
Flind First Attack (Adaar) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23

Flind Second Attack (Kaaras) 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 4 = 20
Flind Second Damage 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Both arrows hit hard. Adaar tries to hide behind the scorpion shell and Kaaras yelps.

Wilheim, you're up.

Between False Life (now gone) and Kaaras's efforts, Wilheim is surprisingly undamaged. The arrow slides through Wilheim's chest and out his back, leaving no trace of injury.

Wilheim winks and takes a five foot step back, launching a bomb fifteen feet to the east of him. When it strikes its target, a fiery blast shoots up, followed by a stinking cloud. It spreads over a ten foot area, yet curiously doesn't effect Kaaras, the blast bending around him.

Standard Action: Five foot step and throw a Stinking Bomb at the Gnoll 15 feet east of him.

Dark Archive

The bomb explodes on impact with the target gnoll, sending it crashing to the ground. The gnoll near it is awashed in flame as well. As he screams in pain a billowing cloud of smoke blooms from the fiery impact.

Gnoll Save:
Fortitude 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

As the smoke spreads the remaining gnoll turns green. He leans to the side and wretches. The smoke spreads more approaching Kaaras, who covers his mouth and nose, giving Wilheim a look of disgust.

The gnoll the turns and flees slowly as it groans in pain.

Kaaras pulls an arrow from his arm as he checks on Adaar's wound.

"Hurry up and finish this!"

The druid looks over to Dahrani,

"Are you ok?"

Kaaras delays with no intent of doing anything unless some needs to be healed drastically.

Dark Archive

ROUND 4

Gnoll Group 2

Dark Archive

Please have Adaar make a Perception check before we continue.

Perception:
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Dark Archive

Kaaras:
As Adaar is following Dahrani, he suddenly stops and turns to the north. Something caught his attention. Something is there. Then he turns his attention back to what he was doing.

The Exchange

Male Gnome Psychic (Amnesiac)/2

Hehehehehe!

Atajinn completes his study and puts his spellbook away. He casts his newly prepared spell and moves into position quietly.

Stealth:
Stealth: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (10) + 22 = 32

Standard Action - Casting Alter Self to appear as a Flind (medium humanoid) with similar tribal markings as his identified adversary. Move Action - Spending 1 Arcane Reservoir point to use Dimensional Slide exploit teleporting 50'

Dark Archive

The flind leader seems disappointed and turns to flee. He shouts back in frustration.

Zimphona wa munthu, dziwa kuti Al'Chorhhaiv adzadyetsa pa inu, ndi kwa ana anu!

Gnoll:
Heroes of man, know that the Al'Chorhhaiv will feed on you, and your children!

Flind Bloodrager
Single move action interrupted by Atajinn being present.

Atajinn, he seems to be coming straight at you, though he does not seem to expect you to be there. Do you want to step aside (as if this was an overrun maneuver) or stay in his way and possibly collide? Or is there another option?

The Exchange

Male Gnome Psychic (Amnesiac)/2

Atajinn will move aside.

Dark Archive

The flind moves off past the trees, fleeing into the night.

Flind Bloodrager
Completes the double move

Wilheim sees the nauseated one staggering off and easily matches pace with him, keeping about ten or so feet away. As he walks after him, he removes a bomb from his belt but doesn't throw it. Instead, he speaks in perfect Gnollish.

"Inu sadzapulumuka ine. Ndili ndi mafunso. Kuwayankha ndipo sindifuna kupha inu."

Gnollish:
You won't escape me. I have questions. Answer them and I'll let you leave.

Diplomacy Check if needed:

Move Action: Move 20 feet. Standard Action: No Murderhobo.

"Zowola, nadwala ndowe munthu!"

Gnoll:
Rot, sickly dung man!

Gnoll Group 1
Single move action because he is nauseated

Karaas catches Adaar's reaction to something north of him. The druid hisses loudly to get his attention!

"Ssss hss ss? Shsss?"

Serpent Tongue:
"What was it? Where?"

Free action, ask Adaar where and what it was he saw.

Dark Archive

Adaar glances over at a clump of trees. He hisses back as if he understood.

"Ssshss SHsss ss sss Hssss, Hss ss hhssss sssss."

Serpent Tongue:
"Cackle Hound in the brush, but it smells wrong."

Kaaras, give me a Perception check and a Knowledge (nature) check.

Perception:
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26

Knowledge Nature:
Knowledge Nature: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

Dark Archive

Kaaras:
To the northeast you see a very mangy and wet hyena hiding in the brush, watching Wilheim and the fleeing gnoll. You catch some of the scent that Adaar mentions, it smells of wet decay rather than the normal carrion smell. It seems this hyena is less than a clean example of his species.

Kaaras spots the hyena and starts to move towards it slowly.

"Friends. We have a guest, and there is something... off, about it."

He motions towards the north, informing the rest of the the party the basic area of the hyena as he prepares a spell.

Move action, 30 feet north. Ready to cast Calm Animal, if the hyena moves to within 40ft of Kaaras.

Dark Archive

Adaar watches the ranger take off after the gnoll. He looks to Kaaras for a command.

Adaar delays

The Exchange

Male Gnome Psychic (Amnesiac)/2

A tiny blue and orange firework detonates softly behind a tree just before another large flind steps out near Dahrani and growls loudly!

Kodi mukuganiza inu muti mwafulumira ? Kuwononga anthu ! Pakuti Al'Chorhhaiv !!

Gnoll:
Where do you think you're going in such a hurry? Destroy these humans! For Al'Chorhhaiv!!

Dark Archive

The fleeing gnoll is brought down by Kaepora with a screeching dive.

Dahrani:
No need for a sense motive roll. You've seen this trick before, just not this exact use.

The flind looks confused for a second.

Flind Save:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Inde , wolungama!

Gnoll:
Yes, Righteous One!

The flind's eyes blaze as he looks at Dahrani. He drops the bow is his hand and draws a set of heavy spiked iron bars linked with chains. He bellows and swings ruthlessly at Dahrani.

Additional +4 if it involves a gnoll
Additional +2 if it involves a trap

Dark Archive

Dahrani:
The gnoll's eyes actually shift when he rages. They take on a bird like appearance, a raven almost you believe. Also, black feathers seem to shine among the fur on his shoulders and arms as well. Unfortunately this makes no sense to you, you may need to discuss with Atajinn and Wilheim later.

Seeing the nauseated gnoll get death-bombed by Kaepora, he'll now turn his attention to the new threat Kaaras indicated to the north. Wilheim sees Kaaras preparing a spell and figures it's something to quell the beast in the same fashion as the scorpion. He'll let that play out first. As he waits, he offers a scowl of concentration as he mutters.

"This seems too organized to be random. Can't recall a time I've pissed off any gnolls lately..."

Move Action: Move 15 feet. Standard Action: Readied Action to throw a bomb if the hyena moves within 20 feet of Wilheim AND Kaaras' spell seems to not have had any effect.

Dark Archive

The party's newest guest, the hyena, remains tucked into the brush and seems to be watching Kaaras and Wilheim carefully.

Kaaras and Wilheim, please give me sense motive checks.
