Summoner 1 HP: 14/14

I'll chip in for it.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk 1

Level up: Paladin!

1d10 ⇒ 7 + Con (1) = +8 HP
+2 Fort, +2 Will
+1 BAB
+1 Diplomacy, +1 Know:Nobility, +1 Know:Religion

Smite Evil 1/day, Aura of Good, Detect Evil

I will defs pool for a wand of CLW. I'll figure out what gear to buy later.. Not sure what low level things to buy on a monk! (Lowest level monk I played was 7 haha)

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3
Resources:
Inspire 8/8 | Rage 7/7

I missed the option to roll for hp.

Experience has taught me that rolling is always better!

HP: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Alas, it was meant to be.

F Dwarf Cleric of Abadar 2

Level up: Cleric

HP: 1d8 ⇒ 4 Total +7 {+4 (Rolled) +2 (Con) +1 (Favoured)}

HP: 22/28 NL: 0 | AC 18/12/16 | F +5, R +2, W+1 | Per:+6, Init: +2 | Rage: 14/14

Magnhildr is updated, I just went with the average, seeing how most of my die rolls are horrible.

Anyway, Mags will donate 140 gp to the "Heal the beat stick" fund. :D

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

I'll be fully updated shortly - for the HP:

HP +1 favored: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Whew!

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

Ok, will level Rogue.

HP +7
BAB +1
Reflex Saves +3
Gain:

Evasion (Ex): At 2nd level and higher, a rogue can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the rogue is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless rogue does not gain the benefit of evasion.

Rogue Talent: Combat Trick: Two-Weapon Fighting (Combat)
You can fight with a weapon wielded in each of your hands. You can make one extra attack each round with the secondary weapon.

Prerequisite: Dex 15.

Benefit: Your penalties on attack rolls for fighting with two weapons are reduced. The penalty for your primary hand lessens by 2 and the one for your off hand lessens by 6. See Two-Weapon Fighting in Combat.

Normal: If you wield a second weapon in your off hand, you can get one extra attack per round with that weapon. When fighting in this way you suffer a –6 penalty with your regular attack or attacks with your primary hand and a –10 penalty to the attack with your off hand. If your off-hand weapon is light, the penalties are reduced by 2 each. An unarmed strike is always considered light.

I will be buying another rapier so, since they are both light weapons that will further reduce my dual wield combat penalty: Main Hand should be (with weapon finess and two handed weapon) +4 -2 = +2 and off hand should be +4 - 2 = +2

As for skills, I am using my Skyrim leveling approach based on what I used during play, I have 10 ranks to distribute:

Knowledge (local) +1
Sense Motive +3+1
Diplomacy +3+1
Intimidate +3+1
Perception +1
Survival +1
Acrobatics +1
Ride +1
Stealth +1
Climb +1

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

Oh and I'll chip in for the CLW wand, I'll also sell my existing rapier for 10 gp and buy two MW rapiers at 320 gp each, gaining a +1 to each of my attacks.

Summoner 1 HP: 14/14

Um, Talon. Rapier's aren't light weapons. They're finessable, but they are still one-handed weapons so you's be -4 on each attack, not -2.

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

doh - totally misread that, I'll fix it - I'll probably go with a MW short sword in the off hand

Summoner 1 HP: 14/14

Well you can dual wield rapiers. That would earn some style points, but using a short sword would probably be better.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk 1

Hello all! Sorry for my spotty posting lately, this has been week from hell in school with 3 project reports and a calculus midterm. Things should free up again this weekend. Please feel free to NPC me as needed.

Just a heads up that I'm going to be running a mythic playtest for RotRL, and if you're interested slap an app up!

Mythic playtest!

Obviously if you haven't finished this campaign yet.. Don't spoil everything for yourself and play in the mythic test :P

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

@GM - did you make that journal yourself, its a great piece of work!

I wish. I found it on what is turning out to be a very useful thread of links for maps and similar things like that for this campaign.

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

Awesomeness nonetheless! It really adds to the immersion. Thanks.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3
Resources:

Now we just need a dungeon!

I got lucky there as well. I was able to find a digital version of the awesome map Paizo made that worked with Maptool. That makes my life amazingly simpler.

In other news, I have an income again. That does mean that my hours for posting are going to be changing a bit as I will be working overnights, and at least for the next month, I will be working two jobs. I don't anticipate being unable to post, but it will definitely limit the number of daily updates I can put out.

Hurray.

An employed DM is a happy DM.

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

No worries, we are off to a good start, with a great crew.

I'd be happier if I hadn't had to resort to going back to my old job, but at least it's an income, and there's a reason I went out of my way not to burn that particular bridge.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3

Well that's unfortunate but better than homeless and/or starving right?

We looking to start our dungeon today?

I really liked how you handled the glassworks. I may steal that method of exploration for dungeons for PBP in the future. Dungeoncrawls don't translate well in PBP in my experience.

The initial post went up last night. I am just waiting on everyone to state any last minute preparations and give me some perception rolls.

For the glassworks, it worked well. Even if I had kept it a combat scenario instead of having you see the aftermath, I would have done something similar. It just wasn't quite important enough for a full room by room sweep, but important enough that it deserved some kind of attention, and I like how it worked out. It kept things moving without missing any of the key details.

Summoner 1 HP: 14/14

Well, it happens. Like the others said, at least you have a job. Looking forward this next dungeon.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3

I'm in a CoT PBP that's been going for a while now and having been through several 'big' dungeons now, I much prefer the area summary method.

It looks like everyone's posted in the IC thread now.

I'll continue to use it as appropriate, that is for certain. Probably not too much for this particular dungeon, which is pretty straight forward, and every room is somewhat important in it's own right, but certainly for others in the future, you will be seeing it again.

F Dwarf Cleric of Abadar 2

There was a blog posted by a woman who recommends distilling the essence of the module for PBP and cutting out the irrelevant chaff and streamlining the semi-relevant scenes/encounters

Which is what I'm already doing and will continue to do as I feel appropriate and as I get more comfortable with figuring out how to do so without diluting the quality of the final product.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3

No, you're doing a great job Voice. Don't worry about it.

I'd be interested in checking it out Morstralla if you can find it and PM it to me.

Summoner 1 HP: 14/14

Agreed.

HP: 22/28 NL: 0 | AC 18/12/16 | F +5, R +2, W+1 | Per:+6, Init: +2 | Rage: 14/14

Your doing a better job than I would have, Voice, that's for sure.

Happy Turkey Day (so long as none of you are turkeys, in which case, my apologies).

My family was killed by turkeys...

Deliver sweet vengeance!

Male Human Technician 1

Turkey day came and went for me about a month and a half ago.

That just means you have an excuse to celebrate it again.

Male Human Technician 1

except we don't get a holiday to do it with (well we did on Oct 8th)

today and tomorrow and Monday are all regular work days here

Doesn't stop you from stuffing yourself and enjoying time with your family. It just means you don't get to do it all day.

Has anyone heard anything form Wyren?

He's been missing for weeks now and I see him posting in other threads...

HP: 22/28 NL: 0 | AC 18/12/16 | F +5, R +2, W+1 | Per:+6, Init: +2 | Rage: 14/14

Poke him and see if he posts here, He may have meant to and thought he did, but forgot he didn't

It's been two weeks.... that's a lot of forgetting.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3

Well I sent Wyren a PM (actually I sent it a couple days ago).

Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)

Hopefully he comes back, worst case we find someone else. So many of these PBPs fall apart, shouldn't be hard to find someone that got abouty this far.

If he doesn't come back, I'll look for a replacement after this dungeon. Until then, you guys should be able to easily handle what is down here.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3

Inspire 8/8 | Rage 7/7

I like the dynamic we have with the five we have now. Did you want to keep us at a six person party Voice? I wouldn't mind staying at five.

I'll make that decision after the dungeon if it proves to be necessary.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3
Resources:
Inspire 8/8 | Rage 7/7

Sounds good.

F Dwarf Cleric of Abadar 2

The modules are actually designed for parties of 4 characters so having 5 or 6 makes them easier.

Quote:
“Burnt Offerings” is a Pathfinder Adventure Path scenario designed for four 1st-level characters. By the end of this adventure, characters should reach 4th level.

I don't really like 4 players for a pbp game, though. Natural attrition can disrupt a game enough with 5 or 6 players.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3
Resources:
Inspire 8/8 | Rage 7/7

Attrition is a danger but when you've got solid consistent players I've found 4-5 to be perfect.

Just to give folks a heads up, my posting the next few weeks is about to get challenged, and may be spottier than usual due to working one full time job and another job that could easily be full time hours as well, depending on how things go. Once the holidays are over, everything should return to normal.

Male Shoanti Thundercaller 3 - HP: 37/37 | AC: 15, Touch: 10, FF: 15 | Saves: Fort: +7, Reflex: +4, Will: +4 | Init: +0 | Perception: +3
Resources:
Inspire 8/8 | Rage 7/7

Bummer.

Well better over-busy than unemployed, right?

Hopefully we can wrap this dungeon up in the near future so we can get back to Sandpoint and spend the slow/downtime mostly RPing among ourselves.
