1d10 ⇒ 7 + Con (1) = +8 HP
+2 Fort, +2 Will
+1 BAB
+1 Diplomacy, +1 Know:Nobility, +1 Know:Religion
Smite Evil 1/day, Aura of Good, Detect Evil
I will defs pool for a wand of CLW. I'll figure out what gear to buy later.. Not sure what low level things to buy on a monk! (Lowest level monk I played was 7 haha)
Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)
Ok, will level Rogue.
HP +7
BAB +1
Reflex Saves +3
Gain:
Evasion (Ex): At 2nd level and higher, a rogue can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the rogue is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless rogue does not gain the benefit of evasion.
Rogue Talent: Combat Trick: Two-Weapon Fighting (Combat)
You can fight with a weapon wielded in each of your hands. You can make one extra attack each round with the secondary weapon.
Prerequisite: Dex 15.
Benefit: Your penalties on attack rolls for fighting with two weapons are reduced. The penalty for your primary hand lessens by 2 and the one for your off hand lessens by 6. See Two-Weapon Fighting in Combat.
Normal: If you wield a second weapon in your off hand, you can get one extra attack per round with that weapon. When fighting in this way you suffer a –6 penalty with your regular attack or attacks with your primary hand and a –10 penalty to the attack with your off hand. If your off-hand weapon is light, the penalties are reduced by 2 each. An unarmed strike is always considered light.
I will be buying another rapier so, since they are both light weapons that will further reduce my dual wield combat penalty: Main Hand should be (with weapon finess and two handed weapon) +4 -2 = +2 and off hand should be +4 - 2 = +2
As for skills, I am using my Skyrim leveling approach based on what I used during play, I have 10 ranks to distribute:
Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)
Oh and I'll chip in for the CLW wand, I'll also sell my existing rapier for 10 gp and buy two MW rapiers at 320 gp each, gaining a +1 to each of my attacks.
Hello all! Sorry for my spotty posting lately, this has been week from hell in school with 3 project reports and a calculus midterm. Things should free up again this weekend. Please feel free to NPC me as needed.
Just a heads up that I'm going to be running a mythic playtest for RotRL, and if you're interested slap an app up!
I got lucky there as well. I was able to find a digital version of the awesome map Paizo made that worked with Maptool. That makes my life amazingly simpler.
In other news, I have an income again. That does mean that my hours for posting are going to be changing a bit as I will be working overnights, and at least for the next month, I will be working two jobs. I don't anticipate being unable to post, but it will definitely limit the number of daily updates I can put out.
I'd be happier if I hadn't had to resort to going back to my old job, but at least it's an income, and there's a reason I went out of my way not to burn that particular bridge.
Well that's unfortunate but better than homeless and/or starving right?
We looking to start our dungeon today?
I really liked how you handled the glassworks. I may steal that method of exploration for dungeons for PBP in the future. Dungeoncrawls don't translate well in PBP in my experience.
The initial post went up last night. I am just waiting on everyone to state any last minute preparations and give me some perception rolls.
For the glassworks, it worked well. Even if I had kept it a combat scenario instead of having you see the aftermath, I would have done something similar. It just wasn't quite important enough for a full room by room sweep, but important enough that it deserved some kind of attention, and I like how it worked out. It kept things moving without missing any of the key details.
I'll continue to use it as appropriate, that is for certain. Probably not too much for this particular dungeon, which is pretty straight forward, and every room is somewhat important in it's own right, but certainly for others in the future, you will be seeing it again.
There was a blog posted by a woman who recommends distilling the essence of the module for PBP and cutting out the irrelevant chaff and streamlining the semi-relevant scenes/encounters
Which is what I'm already doing and will continue to do as I feel appropriate and as I get more comfortable with figuring out how to do so without diluting the quality of the final product.
Half-Elven Rogue Lvl 3 HP 19/19 INIT+6 AC 16 CMB+4 CMD+16 MW Rapier/MW S. Sword (+6,+4/+2) 1d6+2/18-20x2/19-20x2 S. Bow (+5) 1d6+2/x3 (F:1 R:9 W:1)
Hopefully he comes back, worst case we find someone else. So many of these PBPs fall apart, shouldn't be hard to find someone that got abouty this far.
The modules are actually designed for parties of 4 characters so having 5 or 6 makes them easier.
Quote:
“Burnt Offerings” is a Pathfinder Adventure Path scenario designed for four 1st-level characters. By the end of this adventure, characters should reach 4th level.
Just to give folks a heads up, my posting the next few weeks is about to get challenged, and may be spottier than usual due to working one full time job and another job that could easily be full time hours as well, depending on how things go. Once the holidays are over, everything should return to normal.
