I see you called this round 6. Does that mean we had a couple rounds to look around?

Yes, you would have had a round or two to catch your breath and possibly find a weapon, though you don't find much on the goblins aside from a few "swords" that appears to be roughly beaten out of some piece of metal trash. You could easily find something to serve as a club, though, as there a number of broken/splintered tables and wagons about.

Krojun wouldn't have his weapons with him. Really he wouldn't have had his shield with him either but I didn't think about that until after I'd made the first combat round post.

I must confess, I did metagame a little. Fighting Gobbos unarmed and with an AC of 12 would have sucked. At least I was able to arm Morstralla though.

Sorry, I know that was not good of me, I'll try to keep the metagaming non-existent from now on.

It's okay, apparently Rohan and Talon walk around armed to the teeth too.


As long as the weapons were peace-bound during the day, and trust me they were, no one really would have noticed. There's a lot of visitors in town, and a fair number of merchants selling pretty much everything, including some pretty valuable goods. While you ordinarily would have stuck out and been called out for it, under the circumstances, as long as you behaved yourself, the guard had enough else to worry about that they weren't going to work themselves up over that.

You're also a local and have a secure place to store them. A lot of visitors would rather keep as much of their stuff with them as possible, not really trusting to the security of inn rooms.

Considering one of the games I'm in, this is a pretty good pace. BTW, I think the last Gobbo just joined his buddies in Pharasma's Boneyard.

We are moving at a good pace. I'd just like to make sure that pace doesn't slow down.

One full combat round per day is a good place to be.


I also don't want to go so fast as to burn people out or scare them away. If it ends up slowing down a little bit, I'm not going to panic.

In my experience, a slow PBP is in more danger of losing people than a fast one, but I leave things in your capable hands.

Just a heads up - I'm driving up to Indy and back for the Colts/Packers game so I'll be MIA for a long while tomorrow. Feel free to play me as needed to maintain pace, resolve combat, etc.


I'm also concerned about burning myself out. This combat was pretty simple due to the lack of maps. Maps tend to slow things down on the DM side of things.
